hane Calton has come along way from the days when he worked on a computer in the corner of his living room whilst the family watched TV! It’s ten years since he set up Palace Roofline and he’s now at the helm of well this established business, with premises on Chatsworth Road.
“I can remember buying my first van, a cheap second-hand vehicle that did the job. I would go out canvassing in the evenings and weekends, knocking on doors and putting every hour into the business” remembers Shane. "Now ten years on we’ve completed so many local installations, high quality products and high-quality workmanship, I have a fantastic team working with me and I have to thank them for supporting me and helping me deliver on my promises.” It’s basic things that set Palace Roofline apart, “I'm not interested in shortcuts, last thing I want is to be sending my team out to repair jobs we've done previously... at the end of the day if you've had your guttering replaced because it's got leaking joints I want to make sure it doesn't still leak! But obviously we’re happy to fix things others haven’t done so well! " “I also live locally so if I bump into a customer I need to know it’ll be a friendly exchange and they’ve been happy with what we’ve done. It’s a simple approach but it works.” Palace Roofline are members of the Derbyshire Trusted Trader scheme and have 139 reviews and a five-star rating, their most recent feedback left on 17 Jan 2018 was simply ‘Extremely good, prompt, professional, pleasant and very tidy. Would recommend them.’ “We leave a Trusted Trader feedback form after every job, and it's really heartening to see the comments that people leave. Alongside that I'm getting a lot of recommendations from customers. In some families I've done work for every family member on each of their properties" explains Shane. “We’ve also worked hard to become a Which Trusted Trader, the nations top accreditation scheme. We have 137 reviews with a rating of 4.9 out of 5” beams Shane, clearly happy with the rating. ‘People can easily get in touch with us at our base at 414 Chatsworth Road and can browse the selection of products we offer to assess the quality and make sure they're happy before we start working on your property.” Shane was born and bred in Brampton and studied building and civil engineering at Chesterfield College. He started out as a site engineer working for both local and national businesses spent some time in plant hire and sales before deciding there was a gap in the market for a fascias and guttering company.
