POTATO DAY J
ust a few words to tell you about a day that had everyone smiling. Transition Chesterfield occupied an empty unit in the Pavements and sold potatoes to people. It was on the Saturday when the snow fell and disappeared on the same day but people came and fun was had. The event was officially opened by the Mayor of Chesterfield Cllr Donald Parsons. The potatoes (and there was some garlic that you may have spotted) in question weren’t to eat but were tubers ready for chitting and planting out for the 2013 season. Here’s to a healthy crop.
