Run and Ride @Pelican The latest news from Pelican Cycles. Last month I featured a picture of Bradley Wiggins in front of the Arc De Triumph becoming the first British winner of the Tour de France. This was shortly before we were treated to fantastic performances by Team GB, winning seven of the ten available golds in the velodrome.

ell Neil Armitage has already seen the effect of this with an increase in demand at Pelican Cycles. “I’ve had a number of customers in for bikes as a direct result of the Olympics, three of these were mountain bikers looking to purchase road bikes, so the Olympics definitely inspired some of our generation to get out there and exercise” says Neil. And Pelican has no intention of standing still, with the recent launch of Pelican Run, aimed at supporting runners and triathletes. The new offering provides specialist running shoes and clothing by Asics, Mizuno and Scott for Autumn training. With the winter approaching Pelican have the new season Cyclo-Cross bikes, for winter racing, now in store by Ridley, Scott & Forme. Ridley are the worlds no.1 Cyclo-Cross brand, having won

multiple world titles over the last 10 years. If your winter training involves some training indoors, Pelican have TACX turbo trainers and rollers. And new in store for the Autumn/Winter outdoor riders you’ll find a great range of lights by Leading bike lights specialist Cateye. The 2013 range of mountain and road bikes are also arriving in store by Scott, Ridley, De Rosa, Eddy Merckx. Neil is proud to add Forme bikes to his range of quality bike brands.
