This collection is inspired by the feeling of being carried away by the power of our feminine side. This essence that we always carry with us allows us to dream, create and balance everything in our lives. It is a celebration of diversity, the precious presence of different women in my life and yours, enhancing our vitality, wisdom, and especially our spirit.

I feel that this collection will allow us to see how you and I are the product of each of these women.

Ellone, Aetea, Amarilys, Lia, Elah, Gabrielle... are some of the names of the garments designed.

Each garment corresponds to a female character with a particular quality in which we can find balance, achieve our dreams and express ourselves freely. Through experience and motivation, we will come closer to the total enjoyment of our own feminine side.

Using color, texture, and construction to create the design that brings the idea to life. It is an intimate and unique encounter where knitters decide to embrace their own personal experiences.

Lialanas

Javiera and Maritza are the founders of Lialanas.

It is a brand of hand dyed yarns with dedication and love. They offer different types of yarns and thicknesses in unique colors to make knitting a special experience. They always want to help their customers find the perfect color for their style. For this reason, they dye custom colors or advise the customer to find the combination they are looking for. They always work with their customers in mind, offering the best quality, on time delivery, taking care of every detail of the process to make it sustainable.

15

Javiera began researching the process of dyeing skeins for her own weaving. She gained experience and excellent results, which led her to offer her yarn in her own online store.

What motivated you to dye wool?

How do you see this collaboration?

Abismo (deep green), Maqui (deep purple), Sweet Fantasy (Candy Bar collection), sparks (natural speackles) and Ethereum in KidMohair which was born from a collaboration with La Hebra magazine.

Lialanas began looking for collaborations with knitting designers to support national design, expand the knitting community and introduce our yarns to more knitters. In this collaboration, Susana’s beautiful designs, her consistency in launching patterns and the fact that she has international recognition, caught our attention.

Julie Asselin

Julie Asselin we have been working in the textile industry since 2011. Our workshop is now in Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada). We proudly collaborate with a number of yarn shops to ensure that makers can purchase our range of yarns, no matter where they are located. Our brand pays great attention to details from yarn conception to dyeing and always strives to bring the best we can to fiber enthusiasts with our products. We want to ignite your creativity with ours.

19

I like to know how things are made. That is why I have tried many crafts throughout the years and it was the same with yarns, I wanted to know how they were made, from fiber spinning to yarn dyeing.

What motivated you to dye wool?

How do you see this collaboration?

I am so happy we get to work together.

I love how your design tells a story and brings the knitter with it along the way.

It is like traveling but with your stitches.

It changes with seasons and years, but at the moment, bright Coral, Momo or Clementine colorway.

Trilogy Yarns

Trilogy Yarns I was a knitter before I was a dyer, I did it on and off throughout my adult life, it became my therapy when I unexpectedly lost my daughter, and it helped me deal with stress. Fast forward many years, and I found myself under tremendous stress again when my husband was diagnosed with a rare form of bone marrow cancer that required a bone marrow transplant. He was a trouper to the end, but his body gave out and he passed away. I taught my husband to knit when he got sick and could no longer work, and he loved it! We also started to play with yarn dyeing, but that was put on the back burner as he got sicker. Trilogy Yarns is in his memory; I know that he is with me every time I dye a skein.

23

It definitely has something to do with my history. It fills me with happiness and energy every time I dye a color. For my brand is very important put dedication and care in each skein.

I don’t have a favorite, I like them all.

ChileKnitz

ChileKnitz is a small hand dyed yarn bussiness based in Santiago, Chile, that aims to open the market of high quality wool for Chile and share it with the world. It is characterized by its bright, playful and eye-catching colors inspired by the environment, pop culture, experiences, books and travel. She works with several wool suppliers who are committed to producing yarns of the highest quality, so that knitting becomes more than a hobby, but an experience and the finished projects are garments for life!.

27

I was motivated by the lack of options in the local market within Chile, for the year 2016 when I started. I really wanted to create something new.

What motivated you to dye wool?

How do you see this collaboration?

I love collaborating with designers, the wool comes to life as you knit, the fabric takes shape and what better way to do something new and creative with it! It’s always nice to see a new design come out and to work with creative people at the same time!

Tough question. In general I like bright colors and especially purple; it goes with anything else, which makes it very versatile.

Aitana Villa

Aitana Villa Yarns started in the summer of 2021, after many years of knitting and some years of designing. My physical disability and the care of 3 children, one of them disabled, led me to work at home. I am a restless woman, I like to experiment and create, so it was the natural evolution of a project that started as a hobby and is now my livelihood. As a knitter, I value quality yarns, both in composition and color. As a dyer, I always look for yarns that are made with natural fibers such as merino, alpaca, cashmere, silk and bamboo, and those which are soft to the touch so that the knitting experience is pure pleasure.

31

How do you see this collaboration?

I like above all the pink, red and blue ranges, although since I dye wool I fall in love with all the colors that pass through my hands.

What motivated you to dye wool?

Dyed to be happy. The different textures of the yarns, the color mixes. To create, for me that is happiness. When I am in the workshop, the world disappears, nothing matters, I enjoy every moment. Seeing how the yarns absorb the color, the nuances they take on, giving free rein to my imagination, that is happiness. I have long admired Susana Lobos as a designer, but above all as a person. Her good work, her kindness and the great creativity that she radiates made me take the plunge and participate in this collaboration.

I was particularly attracted by the concept of the collection, which is inspired by feminity.

Madejasur

Madejasur we are Carla and Ele, two knitting friends who have been living in Puerto Varas with our families for years. We are passionate about quality yarns, creating our own garments and enjoying them for a long time. We are so fascinated by colors and textures that in 2018 we decided to explore a bit more and venture into wool dyeing. It all came about because we could not find yarns of the quality we wanted, in unique and current colors.

35

We realized as knitters in late 2017 that there was a lack of supply of locally dyed yarns, so we took a chance on doing it ourselves.

Definitely, pinks and apricots in all their versions.

We love to make collaborations where our wool is shown through a good design. In Chile they are just starting to design socks. There are not many sock patterns of Chilean design, so we thought it was very interesting to participate.

Feliz y Punto

At Feliz y Punto we love color, we are a wool hand dyeing workshop since 2018. We work only with carefully selected, high quality natural fibers. The skeins are dyed in small batches, which ensures that each skein receives the care and attention it deserves before it reaches your hands. My brand is my creativity in all its breadth, a place where I give free rein to my imagination, my sense of color, and my joy in capturing my ideas in different yarns. My inspiration comes mainly from nature. In general, my palettes are the result of a spontaneous response to the need to create something beautiful and unique. To me, color is infinite and poetic.

39

The dyeing adventure began in my kitchen with materials I had on hand. The fun results made me curious about the possibilities of hand dyeing. I am an illustrator by training and creativity has always been an important part of my life, but I have developed professionally in a different field.

What motivated you to dye wool?

I consider myself a “mood” dyer. Being Nordic, I am generally attracted to sober and clean colors, with delicate waters and discreet speckles. However, on many occasions I surrender myselft to the magic of the sunny, cheerful and warm Mediterranean climate.

Any collaboration, from my point of view, it is a very enriching experience. It’s a nice form of mutual support, friendship, it’s an expression of admiration and respect for the work of a colleague. I feel very lucky to be part of this project.
