The third annual TBL Draft weekend took place At The Factory DI in Indianapolis, IN on February 27 - 28, 2021. The Basketball League is the brainchild of Evelyn Magley and her husband former NBA player David Magley. TBL, branded #adifferent league, kicked off the weekend with JUNIOR TBL Youth Basketball Clinic under the direction of TBL Commissioner Carlnel Wiley, Jr. with special drills to build skills and an inspirational talk to the youngsters. Attendees received basketball backpacks, T-shirts, and an “Official” autographed TBL Basketball all courtesy of sponsorships obtained by student intern, Jordan Mount at the 1st TBL Golf Tournament Outing he organized. Following the youth clinic, the final TBL Draft Combine was held where over 200+ attendees participated from over 35 different countries/states over a two day period. “It was important for us to hold the combine in a Covid safe environment...” said League Owner Evelyn Magley. With 35 Teams and 70 Draft picks we feel these young men are being offered a true opportunity especially coming off of a year with little opportunity due to COVID. Of TBL’s 35 team markets all Team Market Owners were in attendance and participated in TBL Draft where 70 players were drafted into a professional basketball league that offers them the ability to be paid while showcasing their talent on TBLTV, broadcast “Live” in over 145 countries worldwide. With TBL’s 2021 Season Openers on April 9th, “We are excited about the season ahead and for the opportunity for these young men to have the chance to play at the next level.
