6. ANY CONDITIONS, MATERIALS, DEVICES, OR DETAILS NOT SPECIFICALLY SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS OR SPECIFIED SHALL BE CLARIFIED WITH THE ARCHITECTS OR ENGINEER BEFORE BIDDING, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, AND COMPLETION.

A. THE ALARM DEVICES SHALL BE INTERCONNECTED IN A MANNER THAT THE ACTUATION OF ONE ALARM WILL ACTIVATE ALL OF THE ALARMS IN THE INDIVIDUAL UNIT. THE ALARM SHA LL BE CLEARLY AUDIBLE IN ALL BEDROOMS OVER BACKGROUND NOISE W/ INTERVENING DOORS CLOSED.

B. EXCEPTIONS: SMOKE ALARMS IN EXISTING AREAS NOT REQ'D TO BE INTERCONNECTED OR HARDWIRED WHERE THE ALTERATIONS OR REPAIRS DO NOT RESULT IN INTERIOR WALL OR CEILING REMOVAL.

17. SPECIAL INSPECTION: CONTRACTOR SHALL ADHERE TO ALL REQUIREMENTS OUTLINED IN SECTION 1704: SPECIAL INSPECTIONS, CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND STRUCTURAL OBSERVATIONS OF THE 2012 IRC. THIS SECTION PROVIDES MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL INSPECTIONS, THE STATEMENT OF SPECIAL INSPECTIONS, CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY AND STRUCTURAL OBSERVATIONS REQUIRED.
