Over the past eight months, we have witnessed a multitude of experiences, both challenging and rewarding, that have shaped the course of our journey. I must admit that it hasn't been the smoothest ride for our club. We have faced our fair share of hurdles and encountered moments of struggle. The simultaneous upgrade of our two fields has presented a considerable challenge in accommodating all our teams effectively. While the upgrades are not yet finalized, I am confident that the end result will provide our players with an enhanced sporting environment that they truly deserve.

Amidst these challenges, however, there have been remarkable highlights that fill me with immense pride. The progress we have made in our SAP program and the development of our young players have been nothing short of outstanding Witnessing the growth and enthusiasm of our future stars brings me great joy, and I am delighted with the efforts put in by our coaching staff and parents to nurture their talent.

I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible support we have received from the wider football community. I extend my sincere gratitude to Ermington United, Granville Waratah’s and all the clubs in the GDSFA who have generously allowed us to host our home games at their facilities.

In addition to these clubs, I would like to offer a special mention to the selfless volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our club thrive. From the dedicated individuals in the canteen to those who contribute in various capacities, your unwavering commitment is the backbone of our success. Our club is built around the values of family, and it is a major achievement that everyone who joins us becomes a part of this extended family. We are truly blessed to have such remarkable volunteers and sponsors who make our club not only survive but flourish

As we navigate the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead, let us remember that our club's strength lies in our collective efforts and the passion we share for the beautiful game. Rydalmere Lions FC: A club rich in history, where you feel a profound sense of belonging. At Rydalmere, we offer a pathway for elite athletes, providing an environment where you can truly relish your football experience – the best of both worlds.

Our football program has consistently demonstrated its success over the years, benefiting both youth and senior players with promotions achieved in both categories over the past four years.

Our youth program is meticulously designed to support players aspiring to become professional athletes. This year, we are proud to announce that four junior players have secured contracts – either with an A League Academy or overseas – for the 2024 season. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and effort put forth by our coaches and the technical director, resulting in a job well done.

Football exists within a professional and commercial framework, but at Rydalmere, we are more than a commercial club; we are a community-oriented institution. We continuously strive to enhance our coaching abilities, nurturing our young talents Simultaneously, we seek success in our senior program, providing our youth with a goal to work towards – a delicate balance essential for sustained success.

Football's impact transcends the field; it extends to the community surrounding it, making it equally as vital as the players and coaches. Football is a passion, and if Rydalmere can aid even one player in achieving their dreams, then we are unquestionably on the right path.

We would like to congratulate our very own Zayn Alghazawi of U14s Rydalmere Lions FC for his success signing with a professional football club in France.

We are pleased to announce that Zayn has been selected for Ligue 1 Club Le Harve AC who are in the top flight of the French league for the upcoming 2024 season!

Well Done Zayn on such a remarkable achievement. Rydalmere Lions FC wish you all the very best with your journey abroad fulfilling your dream.

Zayn was scouted through our SAP programme at the age of 10, where he continued to develop under the guidance of our Technical Director and Coaching Staff.

We thank Zayn's parents Ms Selma and Mr Bashar for their continued support and showing confidence in our staff, whilst the many opportunities that were presented to them by A-League Clubs.

Rydalmere Lions Development Programme continues to flourish under the philosophy of the club to focus on development of the player, instead of a focus on winning, which will lead to more professional football players.

Do you know someone who would be interested in supporting the future generation of Football superstars?

Rydalmere Lions Football Club has a range of opportunities for companies, organisations and education institutes to support the potential of our squads and their athletes which aid in the exchange of business support, access and student education.

Rydalmere Lions Football Club has options such as our Sponsorship Packages, which provide opportunities for local businesses and individuals to contribute a level of support for our talented athletes that not only aid in the development of the sport, but building female and male athletes

Businesses and individuals can become an Athlete Ambassador and Sponsor through an annual contribution which enables them to establish a connection with one of the athletes and develop a personal relationship, supporting them in their journey and progression along the development pathway. Businesses will also receive marketing benefits in return from the club.

As a not-for-profit community-based organisation, all revenue generated by the club is applied to its program operations which has directly benefitted over 2500 athletes since our inception. All funds raised from the club through level of support or any partnership will be applied to the provision of specific technical and educational d for the athletes.

We would like to thank all our corporate partners for their help and assistance. We would also like to thank our educational partners of Western Sydney University, for their assistance with our Work Placement opportunities where we provide local students with the educational assistance to complete their Sporting degrees.
