It is now very evident that our autumn market will be as strong as our wonderful spring and summer selling seasons. Buyers waiting for prices to drop have missed out. An influx of buyers from the southern states have put a drain on supply which is driving up prices and Noosa will remain a popular destination for buyers in 2017. We enjoyed record occupancy for holiday homes and apartments over spring and summer, Hastings street is alive and vibrant, restaurants are full and shopkeepers are enjoying a bumper trade. It has been a busy summer for our team. In fact most say they haven’t ever seen it so busy. It is certainly the best market we`ve seen in the last decade. There is a high demand for investment apartments up to $1Million, and homes up to $1.5Million. It is no coincidence that Sydney buyers are dominating the inquiry. The median house price is $855,000, up from $725,000 the year before, while units reached $635,000 up from $520,000. With prices rising, stock tightening and record low interest rates, the 2017 market will continue to be strong. The smart money is buying now, recognising there is more upside to come. We have seen a number of value buyers missing out on well-priced properties thinking that better value may pop up around the corner.
