Deer’s Glade Fireworks Spectacular This year’s charity fireworks display at Deers Glade Caravan and Camping Park in Hanworth will take place on Saturday 5 November and is set to be the biggest event yet, falling as it does on Bonfire Night. Once again the Attew family who own the caravan and camping site will be working with local Cromer charity About with Friends to put on a memorable evening.

The event takes place at the Deer’s Glade campsite in White Post Road, Hanworth. Gates open 6pm and the candlelit procession leaves the main campsite at 6.30pm. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm with the fireworks starting at 7.30 and lasting for about 30 minutes. Although the fireworks are the pinnacle of the evening, the unique candlelit walk through the

woods between the main campsite and Deer’s Glade is much loved by children and adults alike.

About With Friends, who support adults with learning disabilities, believe in integrating their members at the heart of the community and are not just silent partners at the event. They run the food and drink marquee and provide a quality menu of hot food, snacks and drinks. Cooked and sold by members, staff, volunteers and supporters the group will serve some 2000 people in the space of two hours making it an extremely busy evening. This year they will be offering Hog Roast rolls, superior hot dogs, vegetarian options, beer and soft drinks, mulled wine and cider and much more. There will also be glow sticks on sale. A family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) is a bargain £14 or a single ticket is £4.

The Attew family who run the campsite and organise the display have close connections with the group and have run this event in partnership with them since 2011. Insurance cover for the event is being sponsored by NFU Mutual Insurance once again.

About With Friends is a fun, active and energetic charity based in Cromer. We offer children, young

people and adults with learning disabilities the chance to lead the lives they choose. When they become part of our family they have opportunities to develop lasting friendships; engage in fun and active social activities; get involved in the community; have the chance to try new experiences; learn new skills both for life and work; but above all feel a valued part of society while enjoying life to the full.

Body Wise comes to Cromer

Chantal Groom, who was born and raised in Norfolk and now lives in Melton Constable, is opening a second practice on Central Road in Cromer, called Body Wise. Mother of two Chantal, has been helping to alleviate pain by various non surgical methods for many years and until this month in just one venue - Fakenham Family Chiropractic. "I qualified as a massage therapist in 1998, and after gaining a distinction in my Masters Degree in Chiropractic in 2013," says Chantal. " I have helped hundreds of people with diverse problems which either do not respond to drugs or which people prefer to be treated without drugs." Chiropractic is a therapy concerned with your NeuroMusculoSkeletal system, basically everything to do with your nerves, muscles and bones. "I will now be dividing my time between Fakenham and Cromer, commented Chantal. "This will allow me to help more people over a wider area, and I can be flexible with the days I spend at the two locations." "My extensive training in both disciplines llows me to see you as a whole person. I believe in treating the whole body and to this end can offer deep tissue massage alone or Chiropractic manipulation in combination with deep tissue massage, rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle advice and support.” Chantal can, and does treat people of all ages,

from tiny babies, the young and the not so young. "I am very committed to finding the causes of pain, which can be as simple as correcting poor posture, to more complex issues. I have also completed additional training for pregnant ladies and paediatrics and is particularly successful with mums to be, young babies and children." “I also love working out at the gym and am particularly interested in helping runners, sportsmen and sportswomen to keep fit.”

How do I do it? Many different techniques are used, from the manipulation Chiropractors are known for, to the very gentle techniques for the very young and elderly. Most patients will be given tailored exercises to help them along with their recovery. Treatment plans are personal - there are no generic treatments. "If you have any problems with back, neck or leg pain, difficulty walking, aching joints (such as elbows, knees, hips, wrists and ankles), headaches, muscle aches, injuries, pre or post operative problems or worries, then I would be happy to try to help you overcome these problems. Chantal is offering a free 30 minute consultation at her new premises. "Come and have an informal chat and see if Chiropractic can help you."
