The portfolio reflects about the parasitic architecture which is to add a volume in an existing building.Before starting this studio the requirement is to add 100sq.mt parasitic volume. I choosed raopura tower of vadodara,which is one of the famous historical tower built in indo-sarcenic style during gaekwads periods.I decided to add three volumes each having 32.5 cu.m volume which will serve as a kite museum.The places in gujarat like ahmedabad,kutch ,khambhat and vadodara is famous for its kite festival .The main purpose was that as tourist when visit vadodara can go through all gaekwads historic buildings but raopura is the one where people see it from outside but they do not visit inside so it striked me to design a parasitic volume with raopura tower which will serve as a kite museum through which the tourists can get more aware and familiar about the types of kites that are used during kite festival in vadodara.
