INTRODUCCIÓN El Nevado El Plomo es, sin duda, otro de los seismiles de los que poco se sabe. Limítrofe con Argentina y situado en la Región Metropolitana, es esquivo de ver desde los centros urbanos que están en las cercanías. Sin embargo, es reconocible a simple vista por todo montañista que se alce a una altitud considerable en Los Andes Centrales, por su forma piramidal y sus oscuras tonalidades. Es importante aclarar que en las cartas oficiales del IGM el Nevado El Plomo aparece bajo el nombre de Nevado Juncal.
Nevado El Plomo is one of the Six Thousand Metre Peaks about which there is very little information. It is on the border with Argentina and situated in the Metropolitan Region. Despite the fact it is hard to see from the nearby towns, it is easily recognisable for mountaineers due to its pyramidal shape and dark tones. It is important to note that in the official IGM maps Nevado El Plomo appears under the name Nevado Juncal.
