Kelsey Brown

Emily Harney

Born and raised in the Cleveland area, Kelsey’s journey with Rustic began over 18 years ago and she’s enjoyed watching the company grow into what it is today. In addition to managing our clients’ experiences, she also oversees our team of Personal Travel Advisors. Kelsey enjoys spending time with her two boys, Jason and Grayson, and working on her mini-farm.

Born and raised in New England, Emily is a Rustic veteran, having led community service and animal conservation programs throughout Australia, Fiji, India, China, Cambodia, and Thailand since 2007. She holds a master’s degree in education from Salem State University and has a deep knowledge of our global program operations.

Michelle Michal

Rachel Darroch

A graduate of Kent State University, Michelle joined Rustic in 2013 and her emphasis on customer satisfaction and love of travel makes Michelle a great fit within our family. Michelle has visited our operations in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, and Tanzania. Outside of Rustic, you can find Michelle in the kitchen or in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio!

Rachel’s passion for photography and sense of adventure has taken her around the world! Rachel feels at home whether she is in her small hometown in Ohio or traveling somewhere new. Since 2012 she has worked with families to help prepare their students for a life-changing experience, and provides them comfort with her infectious laugh and bubbly personality!

Sean Major

Carrina Crow

Since 2013, Sean has applied his passion for travel and extensive background in professional customer service at Rustic Pathways. His giving spirit and pride in his work drive his commitment to delivering caring, friendly service to everyone he meets. When he’s not working, Sean and his wife can be found enjoying northeast Ohio and practicing yoga.

Carrina loves travel and helping others. A graduate from Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania, Carrina utilizes her degrees in international business and Spanish to help prepare her clients for travel. In her spare time, Carrina loves photography, gardening, beekeeping, and scuba diving. In 2008 she traveled to Australia to play for the United States World Softball team.

Colleen Liggett

Ashley Fox

From Northeast Ohio, Colleen’s passion for connecting with people and learning about new cultures led her to Rustic Pathways. So far, she has visited operations in Costa Rica, Australia, and New Orleans. When not helping plan adventures, you can find her planning a road trip for friends and family, or camping at a music festival–always with a camera in-hand!

With degrees in anthropology and international studies, Ashley has studied and worked abroad in the United Kingdom and Australia, has traveled extensively throughout the United States, and recently visited India. In her spare time, Ashley can be found running the trails and local races of Northeast Ohio, and chasing her favorite music bands across state lines.

Alyssa DeAngelis

Jessie Wachter

With degrees in education and liberal studies from Rowan University, Alyssa is passionate about helping students and learning about new cultures. Rustic allows her to do both by preparing students for the enhanced cultural awareness and improved self confidence that travel provides, and having the opportunity to visit the amazing locations where our programs operate.

With nine years of experience running programs in eight of our countries, Jessie has an extensive knowledge of our programs and operations. She works directly with families to help them choose their perfect program. She has traveled to more than 60 countries and still ventures out from Colorado to lead Rustic Pathways programs around the globe.

Dan Howells

Connor Stowe

A veteran of Rustic Pathways, Dan has led summer and gap year programs throughout Africa and Australia. His positive energy, down-to-earth Midwestern personality, and long-time experience with Rustic Pathways programs make him the perfect advisor for those interested in learning more about travel and service. Dan lives in Ohio with his wife Margaret and son Harley.

Connor graduated the University of Minnesota in journalism, art history, and cinema studies. He joined Rustic in 2009 and since run over 60 programs in 15 countries. He now works with families to find their perfect program around the globe. He is an avid traveler, visiting places from North Korea to Antarctica, and is an internationally ranked pinball player.

Maggie Lentz

Paul Smylie

Before joining the Rustic family in 2011, Maggie taught students in the U.S., China, and Ghana. She is passionate about experiential learning and enjoys seeing students challenge themselves. A North Carolina native and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Maggie’s sweet southern demeanor shines when speaking with parents and students.

Hailing from Lake Erie with a geography degree from Bowling Green State University, Paul loves talking to people about their adventures. He has managed Rustic programs in the U.S. and Southeast Asia, as well as explored Latin America and summited Mt. Kilimanjaro. Paul takes pride in working with parents to help them find the perfect program for their children.
