Veerayut ‘Ched’ Supadee
Fletcher, as he’s better known, was raised in a small hill tribe village near Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son Province. A former student at the Rustic Pathways Children Home, he now helps manage service projects in the region. Fletcher earned his bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Chiang Mai University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer.
This soft-spoken, easy-going Udon Thani native is a student favorite. Ched helps coordinate our various service programs at the Ricefields Base, which run during the summer and year-round for school groups. With experience running specialized technical service and Gap Year programs in both Laos and Thailand, Ched is one of the most versatile members of our team.
Kawisara ‘Mas’ Anuwech
Fahmai Chaisu
Born and raised in the Isan region of Thailand, Mas earned a degree in business computer from a college in Udon Thani Province. She is experienced in human resources, exporting, and sale marketing and joined Rustic Pathways in 2015 as a student counselor. She works in our Chiang Mai office in Human Resources, helping to process visas for staff and students.
Fahmai is from Phrae, a beautiful northern province of Thailand. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business English from Rachamungala University in Chiang Mai. Fahmai is a talented photographer and musician. She helps coordinate students’ travel at Chiang Mai airport and handles our accommodations and transportation for our operations in Thailand.

Hailing from a small Akha village near Chiang Rai, Met has been working at the Rustic Pathways Children’s Home and leading Come With Nothing trips for over six years. He is one of our village service experts and speaks four languages. Met spends most of his year mentoring children in Mae Sariang, and the rest of his time designing village service initiatives throughout the region.
From the Isan region pf Udon Thani, Tee graduated with a bachelor’s in public administration from Udon Thani Rajabhat University. Tee has been working for Rustic Pathways for four years as a Thailand Program Manager at our Ricefields Base. He loves teaching Thai and his local culture to our students. He is a skilled photographer, graphic designer, and video editor.
Anon Santananat
Richard Cross
Born in a Karen Hill Tribe village, Anon has worked for Rustic Pathways for thirteen years. He is a professional jungle survival expert, a licensed tour guide, and a repository of knowledge on Thai plants, animals, legends, and tribes. He is a favorite among our students and spends his summers managing operations on our Thai Elephant Project program.
Originally from the UK, Richard worked on programs for young people in Switzerland, Hawai’i, the Amazon, and across SE Asia. He has a degree in social science and geography from Cardiff University and Open University UK, and is interested in deepening his understanding of international social issues. Richard is always excited to share his experiences in SE Asia with new visitors.
Katsanee Saengjan Smith
Surasak ‘Koko’ Kengkla
Grace grew up in Prachinburi Province and graduated in counseling psychology from St. Louis College. She has seven years of experience as a nurse in Bangkok Hospital and two years as a cooking instructor at Udon Thani Province Skill Development Center. She joined Rustic Pathways in 2010. Grace is a talented florist, with expert skills in fruit carving and making Thai desserts.
Born near Chiang Dao Mountain, Koko has been a key guides for over eight years. A kind-hearted highland expert, he teaches jungle survival, is an excellent cook, and leads biking and trekking excursions throughout the region. Koko loves introducing students to Buddhist philosophy and his positive outlook on life tend to make a lasting impression on everyone he meets.
Dan O’Connor
Kayan Kraisripobsuk
Dan grew up on the north shore of Massachusetts and attended Skidmore College in New York. After graduating in economics and German, he lived in Europe for a year. Dan has led Rustic programs for two years and is currently our logistics manager in Thailand. In his spare time, he continues learning German and Thai and enjoys playing chess and soccer.
Born in a small village along the border of Thailand and Myanmar, Kayan spent a couple years at the Rustic Pathways Children’s Home, where he graduated from the Baan Rai School. After two years in the Thai military, Kayan joined Rustic full-time where he has proven to be a true role model for the children at RPCH and young staff members. Kayan now works at the Ricefields Base.
Saenchai ‘Chris’ Lan-Atsadorn
Thaung ‘Nai’ Htike & Than ‘Ann’ Nyunt
A graduate of Nohbo Academy and entering his eigth year with Rustic, Chris was born and raised in a Karen village along the Thai-Myanmar border. Fluent in Karen, English, Thai, and Lao, Chris has led various programs throughout Thailand and Laos. He’s a fantastic cook and prepares all meals for our Ricefields students. He is also one of the most talented musicians on our Asia team.
Originally from the hills of Myanmar, Nai and Ann have been living and working at the Ricefields Base for over seven years. As a key community service project manager at the Ricefields, Nai has become a role model to our younger staff and students. Kind-hearted and steady tempered, Ann is one of the hardest working people at the Ricefields and manages housekeeping and laundry.
