And for the younger crowd, kids aqua fitness and summer camp promise fun, fitness and new friendships.
Students between the ages of 16 and 22 can purchase a special three-month membership — perfect for staying active all season long! If you enjoy tennis, look forward to dynamic programs as new tennis manager, Jonathan Diamond, brings fresh energy to the courts.

Failure to do so will result in the removal of the participant or guest from the activity.

How to Pay
We accept all major credit cards for online, mobile app, phone and front desk registrations. At the front desk we also accept checks made payable to Rush Copley Healthplex. An active credit card on file is required for all programs, packages and services.
Wait Lists
Wait lists will be created when a class or session becomes full. If a spot should become available you will be contacted by phone or email.
Cancellations and Make-Ups
If the Healthplex needs to cancel a class or lesson you will be notified by phone or email. Please make sure we have the correct contact information on your account. Whenever possible, should the Healthplex cancel a class, we will offer a make-up class or lesson.
Waivers of Liability
To participate in our programming, you will be required to sign a waiver releasing Rush Copley Healthplex of any and all liability.
Photo/Video Policy
Please be advised that by registering for a program or class, participating in an activity, attending an event, or using our facility and
property you authorize the Healthplex to use photos and video footage for promotional purposes in Healthplex publications, advertising, marketing materials, brochures, event flyers and social media (including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and other social media sites). No additional prior notice or permission is necessary. No compensation will be paid to anyone in these photos/videos. All photos/videos are property of the Healthplex.
Refunds/Credits/Transfers
Refund requests may be made by contacting the Business Office, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at (630) 978-6739 or by email at RCMC_RCH_Business_Office@rush.edu.
• Refunds require 72 hours notification prior to the start of the session to receive a full refund. If a withdrawal or transfer request is received less than 72 hours before the start of the session, a $10 fee will be assessed, and the remaining balance will be applied to the participant's Healthplex account for the remaining classes, lessons, or sessions. If the program is half over, no refunds or credits will be issued.
• Cancellations for one-day offerings (pickleball, massage, personal training, court reservations, etc.) require 24 hours notice. If less than 24 hours notice, a refund or credit will not be issued.
• Refunds for medical reasons must be accompanied by a physician note within 10 days from the missed class explaining the reason for withdrawal. Qualified medical refunds will receive the full amount of the classes/lessons/sessions missed.
• Should a session or program be cancelled by the Healthplex, a refund will be issued.

• Receive one month free. Prepay for 12 months and receive your 13th month free.

Tennis Only Membership
A tennis only membership includes access to tennis programming, teams, special events and court rentals at member pricing. Locker rooms and amenities are not included.

Student Summer Membership
Students can stay active this summer with a three-month membership to Rush Copley Healthplex. If parent is a Healthplex member — $180 ages 16 to 22 If parent is not a Healthplex member — $240 ages 18 to 22 A $25 enrollment fee applies. Student ID required. Call (630) 978-6742 to register.
Locker Rental
Are you tired of bringing your workout gear back and forth every visit? Rent a locker and keep your things at the Healthplex. Both men’s and women’s lockers are available to rent monthly or yearly. Contact Membership for more details.

Guest Fees
Members 18 and older are allowed to bring in up to 3 guests per day. Guests 18 or older must have a government issued photo ID and sign a guest waiver. If the guest is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver on behalf of the minor. Guests must follow Rush Copley Healthplex policies. Guest passes are good for the entire day and are non-refundable.

ATAC
Athletic Training and Conditioning (ATAC) is a high intensity, interval training class with intense cardio exercises in a circuit format. Each week has a different set of exercises set to fun, motivating music. On courts or outside (weather permitting).
Barbell Blast
A high-energy fitness class with barbells. Focuses on strength and cardio for a full-body workout.
Body Blast
A high-energy fitness class that revolves around working with weights. This workout combines elements of strength training and cardio to deliver a full-body workout.
BollyX

Alignment Based Yoga
This class focuses on correct alignment of the yoga postures and is appropriate for all levels.
Barre
Combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, yoga and strength training. High intensity, low impact movements are designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility and posture. No ballet experience necessary. All levels welcome.
Gentle Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Poses flow smoothly, with a focus on breath and mindfulness. Includes a series of standing, seated, and supine poses linked together in a gentle fluid sequence.
Gentle Yoga
A calming practice designed for older adults or those new to yoga.
Hatha Yoga
This class offers a basic introduction to yoga postures. You will move your body into poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while focusing on relaxation and mindfulness.
Pilates
A low-impact workout to stretch, strengthen and lengthen the entire body with an emphasis on technique and core muscles.
Restorative Yoga
A passive, meditative form of yoga that allows for focus on breath while releasing tension in the body. Poses are held for extended periods of time.
Roll and Release Yoga
This practice integrates myofascial massage, gentle movement, stretching and breathwork to calm the nervous system.
Roll and Renew
Increase range of motion and restore healthy movement by use of a foam roller. Myofascial massage paired with creative exercise principles assist the process.
Sit and Fit
Designed for those looking for a gentle class to help improve range of motion, strength, and flexibility. This low intensity class is for those with joint or mobility limitations looking to maintain or improve fitness.
Yoga Sculpt
Combining traditional yoga poses with principles of strength training.
Yoga Fundamentals
This class is for those new to yoga, or for more experienced practitioners who want to practice foundational yoga poses. Breath and alignment will be emphasized.

There is no better way to get in shape than to work with your own personal fitness trainer. At Rush Copley Healthplex, our degreed and certified personal trainers will work closely with you to customize an exercise program to maximize your efforts in reaching your own specific fitness goals. Our personal trainers use one-on-one attention and guidance that will add motivation you may not otherwise have working out on your own.
Specialties include: strength training, flexibility training, assisted stretching, core conditioning and weight management. We also offer training for other health specific needs such as post rehabilitation, post-cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation, pre-natal or post-natal, Parkinson’s disease and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension and fibromyalgia.
How to Get Started
Choose your personal trainer, or ask us to help select one for you based on your goals and their areas of expertise. After you purchase your training package, we will contact you to schedule your first meeting. Single sessions or packages are available. If you wish to work with a trainer weekly, we offer a monthly subscription option. Once weekly includes four total sessions per month. Twice weekly includes eight total sessions per month.

Outdoor Bootcamp Series
Get outside and get fit with our high-energy Outdoor Bootcamp Series! This fiveweek program combines strength, agility and endurance training in a fun and challenging group setting. Led by our trainers, each session will push you to new limits with functional exercises, bodyweight drills and team challenges — all while enjoying the summer weather. Self-Defense Workshop for Women and Teens with Dave Carr
This one-day workshop is designed to teach women and teens common sense approaches to personal safety. Self-defense means both the physical act of defending yourself from attack and the precautions you can take to prevent trouble before it gets physical. The class will have a short lecture on the fundamental principles of avoid, fight, escape, followed by practicing effective strikes to vulnerable targets and escapes from chokes and grabs.

The InBody assessment is a non-invasive body composition analysis providing an easy way to help you identify next steps in your fitness journey.
• Find your fitness baseline, by assessing body fat, muscle and hydration.

• Maximize your workout routine to fit your unique health and fitness goals.

Pre-Teen and Teen Fitness Programs

Youth Fitness Orientation
Learn the fundamentals of fitness, exercise safety, fitness center rules and etiquette. This free orientation is required for members 11 to 15 years old, who with a parent, would like to use the fitness center. Pre-registration is required. Call (630) 978-6280 to schedule an appointment.
Strength Training Fundamentals for Teens
This class is designed as a beginner course into weight and strength training for teens ages 13 to 17. Under the guidance of a certified personal trainer, teens will learn the proper techniques to strength training to ensure both safety and effectiveness. The trainer will guide participants through a variation of light to moderate weight, dumbbell, machine, plyometric and body weight exercises. 4-week sessions.

Youth Speed and Agility
This program led by personal trainer Zane Lodico provides instruction on techniques and training necessary for young athletes to reach their full potential. Speed training, power, and agility in addition to strength training are the essential elements for success. This program is designed to support athletes in their respective sport by refining their skills. 8-week session. For ages 11-18.

Movement Disorders Program
For people living with a movement disorder, exercise and physical activity can help improve symptoms and mental well-being. We offer a variety of free classes to help improve strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness for those who are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and other movement disorders. Exercise for Movement Disorders
This exercise class is designed to help slow the progression of movement disorders symptoms. Each class is designed to improve balance, strength, stability and cardiovascular fitness.

Arthritis Aquatics with Patti Sutarik
This all-age aquatic program is designed for persons with varying degrees of arthritis. Range of motion and endurance exercises will strengthen muscles and joints. 9-week session

Mind and Body training is one of the most beneficial complementary therapies for Parkinson’s disease, helping to increase flexibility, improve posture, loosen tight, painful muscles, build (or rebuild) confidence and enhance quality of life.

Rock Steady Boxing
Affiliated with Rock Steady Boxing, a nonprofit that was created to help people with Parkinson’s improve their quality of life. This non-contact boxing program allows participants to “fight back” against the disease, feel comfortable and gain confidence in their abilities. This safe and engaging progressive fitness program will challenge, motivate and inspire you.

Cycle for Parkinson’s
Riding an indoor stationary bicycle has been shown to reduce Parkinson’s symptoms by as much as 35%. Join for the cardiac and symptom relief health benefit, stay for the music and fun.

Next Steps – Cardiopulmonary Rehab
Next Steps is for eligible participants who have recently completed Rush Copley’s Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Phase 2 program and have the ability to exercise without assistance or cardiac monitoring. Physician approval is required.
Phase 3
Under the guidance of an exercise physiologist, participants will improve strength, endurance, heart health and breathing.
Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday Time: 9 to 10 a.m. or 4 to 5 p.m. Attend two or three times weekly for a total of 36 sessions.
Phase 4
Fee: $10 per visit

Massage Therapy
At Rush Copley Healthplex, we know that regular massage and body work can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase flexibility, reduce muscle fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscle tissue, improve posture and reduce blood pressure. It also promotes better sleep, improves concentration, reduces anxiety and creates an overall sense of well-being. All massages are performed by licensed massage therapists.
Types of Massage
Remedial
Specific massage to address tissue pathologies and improve range of motion. It supports healing and reduces nerve pain.
Swedish
The most popular form of massage to relax muscles and relieve aches and pains.
Sports

This massage utilizes specific techniques to support athletes in obtaining maximum performance, physical conditioning, endurance and mobility — before and after events or exercise.
Prenatal
This massage relieves fatigue and backache, enhances sleep, can help reduce edema and prepare a mother for the birthing process. For women who are past their first trimester with consent from a physician.
Deep Tissue
This massage accesses the deeper layers of muscle tissue using slow, repetitive techniques.
Massage Maintenance Program
Regular massage sessions provide relief from muscle tensions and stress. The massage maintenance program includes one massage per month billed to your Healthplex membership for one year with a 20% discount from member pricing. 60-minute session • $60 per month 90-minute session • $88 per month
Hours are by appointment Monday through Sunday. Massage pricing is subject to change without notice. For appointments which are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a $35 cancellation fee will be charged to the individual's account.

It is a lot easier to focus on your workout when your mind isn’t worrying about your little ones. Kids Active Club is a 5,200-square-foot childcare area within Rush Copley Healthplex that is available for our members with children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Our daily activities keep things fun, fresh and exciting for your child so you can work out, swim or just relax. Enclosed within Kids Active Club, we offer an Infant Care room, a climbing wall, a “Beam” interactive floor activity, Gaga Ball, games, basketball hoops and much more!
Kids Active Club
For ages 3 to 12 years
Our unique program is broken down by age, allowing us to provide age-appropriate activities that are overseen by our energetic and active childcare associates. Our goal is to not only keep your child active while you are working out, but to promote a positive fitness experience for all children enrolled in our program.
• Children may visit Kids Active Club for up to 2 hours per visit.
• Parents must remain on the Healthplex premises while their child is in Kids Active Club.
• Climbing wall is available on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
• Parents can check their kids into Kids Active Club and our staff will personally transport your child to their swim lesson, tennis lesson or Climbing Wall. Parents need to arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of class and fill out a class transfer ticket. Personal transport is free for members. Contingent on staff availability.
• No food is allowed in the Kids Active Club at any time. Your child may bring a water bottle with their name clearly marked on it.

Reservations for the Infant Room are required and must be made 24 hours in advance by calling (630) 978-6251 or by emailing jemma_weisler@rush.edu. Space is limited.
• Infants may visit the infant care room for up to 2 hours per day.

Ageless Aqua
Ideal for any age, this class focuses on light cardio conditioning, basic strengthening and flexibility.
Aqua Barre
Focusing on postural strength, alignment, flexibility, and balance, participants utilize the barre for ballet and pilates-inspired exercises in the pool.
Aqua Boot Camp
Designed to improve cardio conditioning, this higherintensity class alternates between strength, balance and core training. For anyone wanting to maintain or increase their fitness with less impact on joints.
Aqua Dance
A low-impact, fun, and rhythmic water workout that combines dance and aquatic fitness.
Aqua Fit
This low impact, but high-intensity class is designed to improve flexibility, range of motion, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance.
Aqua Fit Plus
A grounded class consisting of non-jumping movements that include cardio, strength and flexibility tailored to the 50+ crowd.
Aqua Pilates
Converts mat-based Pilates and reformer Pilates exercises into the pool. Lengthen the body and increase abdominal and back strength for improved posture and balance.
Arthritis Plus
This all-age aquatic program is designed for people with varying degrees of arthritis. Range of motion and endurance exercises strengthen muscles and joints.
Cardio Splash
This class uses the resistance of the water to improve cardiovascular fitness, increase endurance and improve flexibility.
H2O Combo
This complete cardiovascular workout will challenge the heart, sculpt the body and burn calories.
S’WET
Built for those looking to ride the new wave in aquatic fitness! The program incorporates blocks of activity, focused on H.I.I.T., strength and advanced cardio.
Wave Circuit
This water class combines cardio intervals with aquatic resistance training.
Aqua Taiji with Dave Carr
This class adapts classic Taiji motions consisting of gentle, fluid, graceful, circular movements performed in a slow, continuous manner. Particularly appropriate for anyone with balance, hip, knee or ankle problems. 9-week session.

The Rush Copley Healthplex Kids Learn to Swim program is designed for children of all ages and allows swimmers to progress at their own pace. Lessons take place in our lap pool or warm therapy pool.
For youth levels and above, one family member may observe class on the first day, mid-session and last day only, unless the Aquatics supervisor has approved special accommodations in advance. Swim lessons are non-refundable.

Aqua Kids Learn to Swim Express Lessons
Express Swim Sessions are a great opportunity to get a full session of swim lessons in just 5 weeks. Convenient and flexible times are available for busy summer season. Classes meet twice weekly on Monday and Wednesday.

Water Babies
Focus is on water adjustment, safety skills and bonding with your child. One parent per child per day may participate.
Parent Tot
Children will explore and learn basic propulsion skills through water play. A great time to bond with your child. One parent per child per day may participate.
Level 1
Students will explore the water and learn to be comfortable in aquatic environments. They will learn front and back floats, glides and breath control. Prerequisite: Developmentally ready to participate without a parent present.
Level 2
Students will learn front and back crawl while becoming more confident in the water. They will learn to swim 10 yards of front crawl with rolling for air, and treading water will be introduced. Prerequisite: Submerge completely and blow bubbles. Float on front and back by themselves.
Level 3
Students will coordinate the front and back crawl strokes and will learn the elementary backstroke and treading water. Safety skills will be reinforced. Prerequisite: Swim 10 yards on front rolling to back for air when needed and swim confidently on back using arms and legs to propel.
Level 4
Students will build and improve on the front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke. They will be introduced to the breaststroke and sidestroke. Prerequisite: Swim front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke for 25 yards each and tread water for 30 seconds.
Level 5
Students will refine and improve endurance in the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and elementary backstroke. They will learn proper timing and technique for breaststroke and butterfly. Prerequisite: Swim 50 yards of front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke, as well as tread water for 2 minutes.
Level 6
Students will continue to refine all strokes to perform with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness. They will learn flip turns and the fundamentals of personal water safety. Prerequisite: Swim all strokes well for 50 yards and tread water for 3 minutes.
Junior Stroke
Students will learn advanced swimming techniques making them more efficient and faster at the competitive strokes. This class is intended to help them prepare for higher levels of competitive swimming. Prerequisite: Swim a continuous 200 freestyle and maintain proper technique and timing for 50 yards of butterfly and breaststroke.
Senior Stroke
Competitive swimmers will learn advanced swimming techniques making them faster at competitive strokes and turns. This class is intended for swimmers who have goals of placing at conference, regionals or state. Prerequisite: Swim two of the 100-yard events with times faster than listed: Free 1:10, Back 1:20, Fly 1:20, Breast 1:30.
Summer Swim Team Development
This program is designed to complement summer swim team participants. It will provide swimmers with high quality technique development and/or strength and conditioning in a small group setting.

This kid friendly and fun aqua fitness class is a fun way to develop improved motor movements, strength and endurance. For ages 5-8 and must have basic water safety skills equivalent to the requirements of Aqua Kids Pre Youth 2 or higher.

Adult Swim Lessons

Adult Beginner
Teaches breath control, floating, flutter kick, treading water, backstroke and front crawl. Upon the start of the session, swimmers must be able to put their face under water and be comfortable floating with a life vest. Private lessons are recommended for those who do not meet minimum criteria.

Upon the start of the session, swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke. This class is not intended for those who can already swim over 100 yards freestyle continuously.

Advanced Swim Lessons

Experienced coaches will teach refined swimming techniques and provide a structured workout. Ideal for triathletes, competitive swimmers and those who have progressed from intermediate classes. Coaches will tailor practices to meet the goals of participants and combine technique training with conditioning sets. Upon start of the session, swimmers must be able to swim 100 yards of freestyle continuously.

Adaptive Swim Lessons

For individuals with special needs to assist in learning to become strong and confident swimmers. Small-group lessons are led by a swim professional with formal education in adaptive programming and use a variety of accommodations to allow each individual to succeed. Participants must be placed into the appropriate class. Evaluations can be scheduled by emailing kevin_t_satler@rush.edu.
Adaptive Level 1 or 2 Ages 7 – 14
Swimmers will learn the basics of how to swim as well as water safety. This class will develop introductory swimming skills and movement patterns to improve their overall coordination in and out of the water. Participants should be able to perform learned skills independently for a few minutes at a time and have confidence to be in water that is chest deep.
