We accept all major credit cards for online, mobile app, phone and front desk registrations. At the front desk we also accept checks made payable to Rush Copley Healthplex. An active credit card on file is required for all programs, packages and services.
Wait lists will be created when a class or session becomes full. If a spot should become available you will be contacted by phone or email.
If the Healthplex needs to cancel a class or lesson you will be notified by phone or email. Please make sure we have the correct contact information on your account. Whenever possible, should the Healthplex cancel a class, we will offer a make-up class or lesson.
To participate in our programming, you will be required to sign a waiver releasing Rush Copley Healthplex of any and all liability. A parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver of liability for children under 18 years of age.
Please be advised that by registering for a program or class, participating in an activity,
attending an event, or using our facility and property you authorize the Healthplex to use photos and video footage for promotional purposes in Healthplex publications, advertising, marketing materials, brochures, event flyers and social media (including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and other social media sites). No additional prior notice or permission is necessary. No compensation will be paid to anyone in these photos/videos. All photos/videos are property of the Healthplex.
Refund requests may be made by contacting the Business Office, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at (630) 978-6739 or by email at RCMC_RCH_Business_Office@rush.edu.
• Refunds require 72 hours notification prior to the start of the session to receive a full refund. If a withdrawal or transfer request is received less than 72 hours before the start of the session, a $10 fee will be assessed, and the remaining balance will be applied to the participant's Healthplex account for the remaining classes, lessons, or sessions. If the program is half over, no refunds or credits will be issued.
• Cancellations for one-day offerings (pickleball, massage, personal training, court reservations, etc.) require 24 hours notice. If less than 24 hours notice, a refund or credit will not be issued.
• Refunds for medical reasons must be accompanied by a physician note within 10 days from the missed class explaining the reason for withdrawal. Qualified medical refunds will receive the full amount of the classes/lessons/sessions missed.
• Should a session or program be cancelled by the Healthplex, a refund will be issued.

Hatha Yoga

Pilates
A low-impact workout to stretch, strengthen and lengthen the entire body with an emphasis on technique and core muscles.
Restorative Yoga
A passive, meditative form of yoga that allows for focus on breath while releasing tension in the body. Poses are held for extended periods of time.
Roll and Release Yoga
This practice integrates myofascial massage, gentle movement, stretching and breathwork to calm the nervous system.
Roll and Renew
Increase range of motion and restore healthy movement by use of a foam roller. Myofascial massage paired with creative exercise principles assist the process.
Sit and Fit
Designed for those looking for a gentle class to help improve range of motion, strength, and flexibility. This low intensity class is for those with joint or mobility limitations looking to maintain or improve fitness.
Yoga Sculpt
Combining traditional yoga poses with principles of strength training.
Yoga Fundamentals
This class is for those new to yoga, or for more experienced practitioners who want to practice foundational yoga poses. Breath and alignment will be emphasized.
NEW! Yogalates
A fitness practice that combines elements of yoga and Pilates that aims to improve flexibility, strength, and core stability through a series of movements that incorporate breathing, mindfulness, and body alignment.
There is no better way to get in shape than to work with your own personal fitness trainer. At Rush Copley Healthplex, our degreed and certified personal trainers will work closely with you to customize an exercise program to maximize your efforts in reaching your own specific fitness goals. Our personal trainers use one-on-one attention and guidance that will add motivation you may not otherwise have working out on your own.
Specialties include: strength training, flexibility training, assisted stretching, core conditioning and weight management. We also offer training for other health specific needs such as post rehabilitation, post-cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation, pre-natal or post-natal, Parkinson’s disease and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension and fibromyalgia.
Choose your personal trainer, or ask us to help select one for you based on your goals and their areas of expertise. After you purchase your training package, we will contact you to schedule your first meeting. Single sessions or packages are available. If you wish to work with a trainer weekly, we offer a monthly subscription option. Once weekly includes four total sessions per month. Twice weekly includes eight total sessions per month.

Water Movement for Lymphedema
Prevention with Judy Siek
Water exercise is highly beneficial for managing lymphedema, thanks to the natural compression and resistance of the water, which help reduce swelling and promote lymphatic drainage. Gentle movements such as walking, shoulder rolls, and stretching in the pool can effectively encourage lymph flow and improve circulation. Additional benefits include reduced joint stress, enhanced range of motion, and improved overall quality of life. Learn the fundamentals of fitness, exercise safety, fitness center rules and etiquette. This free orientation is required for members 11 to 15 years old, who with a parent, would like to use the fitness center. Pre-registration is required. Call (630) 978-6280 to schedule an appointment.
This class is designed as a beginner course into weight and strength training for teens ages 13 to 17. Under the guidance of a certified personal trainer, teens will learn the proper techniques to strength training to ensure both safety and effectiveness. Movement Disorders Program
For people living with a movement disorder, exercise and physical activity can help improve symptoms and mental well-being. It is a lot easier to focus on your workout when your mind isn’t worrying about your little ones. Kids Active Club is a 5,200-square-foot childcare area within Rush Copley Healthplex that is available for our members with children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Our daily activities keep things fun, fresh and exciting for your child so you can work out, swim or just relax. Enclosed within Kids Active Club, we offer an Infant Care room, a climbing wall, a “Beam” interactive floor activity, Gaga Ball, games, basketball hoops and much more!
Our unique program is broken down by age, allowing us to provide age-appropriate activities that are overseen by our energetic and active childcare associates. Our goal is to not only keep your child active while you are working out, but to promote a positive fitness experience for all children enrolled in our program.
• Children may visit Kids Active Club for up to 2 hours per visit.
• Parents must remain on the Healthplex premises while their child is in Kids Active Club.
• Climbing wall is available on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
• Check your kids into Kids Active Club and our staff will personally transport your child to their swim lesson, tennis lesson or Climbing Wall. In this program your child will learn technique and conditioning sets, similar to swimmers on highly competitive swim teams. This is an ideal way to continue developing as a competitive swimmer while balancing other sports and activities. Participation in Youth 5, Youth 6, Junior Stroke, Senior Stroke or a swim evaluation is required. New participants must be evaluated prior to registration by emailing kevin_t_satler@rush.edu.
Swimmer Strength and Conditioning will teach proper technique for common athletic exercises as well as swimming-specific exercises and stretches. The focus is on injury preventative exercises and developing proper technique muscle memory to prepare swimmers for high intensity training with a lower risk of injury. Ages 10 to 17.

Level 1
Students will explore the water and learn to be comfortable in aquatic environments. They will learn front and back floats, glides and breath control. Prerequisite: Developmentally ready to participate without a parent present.
Level 2
Students will learn front and back crawl while becoming more confident in the water. They will learn to swim 10 yards of front crawl with rolling for air, and treading water will be introduced. Prerequisite: Submerge completely and blow bubbles. Float on front and back by themselves.
Level 3
Students will coordinate the front and back crawl strokes and will learn the elementary backstroke and treading water. Safety skills will be reinforced. Prerequisite: Swim 10 yards on front rolling to back for air when needed and swim confidently on back using arms and legs to propel.
Level 4
Students will build and improve on the front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke. They will be introduced to the breaststroke and sidestroke. Prerequisite: Swim front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke for 25 yards each and tread water for 30 seconds.
Level 5
Students will refine and improve endurance in the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and elementary backstroke. They will learn proper timing and technique for breaststroke and butterfly. Prerequisite: Swim 50 yards of front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke, as well as tread water for 2 minutes.
Level 6
Students will continue to refine all strokes to perform with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness. They will learn flip turns and the fundamentals of personal water safety. Prerequisite: Swim all strokes well for 50 yards and tread water for 3 minutes.
Junior Stroke
Students will learn advanced swimming techniques making them more efficient and faster at the competitive strokes. This class is intended to help them prepare for higher levels of competitive swimming. Prerequisite: Swim a continuous 200 freestyle and maintain proper technique and timing for 50 yards of butterfly and breaststroke.
Senior Stroke
Competitive swimmers will learn advanced swimming techniques making them faster at competitive strokes and turns. This class is intended for swimmers who have goals of placing at conference, regionals or state. Prerequisite: Swim two of the 100-yard events with times faster than listed: Free 1:10, Back 1:20, Fly 1:20, Breast 1:30.
Join us for open swim, exclusively for members with the option to bring a guest. Children age 2 and under are free if the guardian is a member. Guests ages 3 to 12 are $10 each. Children under the age of 13 may only swim during Family Open Swim and must be with a parent or guardian. Registration at the front desk and pool deck check in is required.

Swimmers will learn the basics of how to swim as well as water safety. This class will develop introductory swimming skills and movement patterns to improve their overall coordination in and out of the water. For individuals with special needs to assist them in learning to become strong and confident swimmers. Level 1 and Level 2 instructor pricing is available. Level 2 master swim instructors have a minimum of 5 years of experience and have shown they can progress swimmers through several stages of development. The Healthplex master swim instructors have an outstanding reputation and are among the best in the area.
