Through user research we found:
UIUC students need an efficient method to connect with potential roommates.
UIUC students need a way to find compatible students to live with.
UIUC students need a way to find students who share similiar housing preferences with them.
HOW MIGHT WE alleviate the stress of finding a roommate for UIUC students?
HOW MIGHT WE assist UIUC students with finding a roommate they are compatible with?
HOW MIGHT WE assist UIUC students with finding a roommate and preferred place to live?
Make an app where UIUC students can find roommates they are compatible by taking a personality quiz and connecting them to other people they have similar personality’s/interests with.

Social media influencer project is a project to give you the opportunity to identify and analyze an influencer who has a big impact on social media, especially Instagram or TikTok. We can learn a lot from these influencers who have established their brand and strategies to reach many people.
They have to be one person.
They are not a celebrity or politician - meaning they didn’t have an established platform before starting their presence on Instagram or TikTok.
Their follower count is at least 25K.
Their account is active.
Quang Hung is a digital creator influencer. He is a student from Vietnam. He is focusing on studying. He shows some comfortable handwriting study notes and gives people a good feeling that could give a sense of distress.
Most audience demographics are high school students, and college students from all over the world now. They want to learn how to make notes beautiful and also want to get a peaceful distress from his posts. At the same time, followers also want to know what brands of stuff he uses in each posts, like notebooks, pens, colorful pens, rulers, stickers, etc.

Client: Art Mart, a shop in Champaign, Illinois
About: They are committed to modern living, selling a little bit of everything: deli, bakery, wine, housewares, groceries, toys, gifts, and catering
As an established business in town, Art Mart has a reliable customer base. However, they are working to build stronger ties with a more diverse community. They would specifically like to create a space, on social media and in the store, that is welcoming and affirming to everyone, while showcasing the variety and quality of their products. For an upcoming cheese and wine tasting event, they would like to exclusively feature products from minority-owned businesses. They would also like to invite community members to the event. Using social media, create a campaign that aims to build a warm, welcoming, and engaged online community, attract minority-owned businesses for the event, and invite event attendees with open, authentic, and affirming content.
The one-week content calendar and campaign should take place in June, with the wine and cheese tasting event scheduled for June 30. They would like to increase their follower count by 200 people and find 10 businesses to participate in the tasting.

The Muncie Forward mixed use development aspires to catalyze a shift to a more equitable and sustainable future. Avoiding shifting and diminishing educational resources, food deserts and limited access to fresh and healthy produce, shifts from a manufacturing based to technology-based workforce. The site for the project is a vacant (parking) lot bordered on the south by Main Street and on the west by north Mulberry Street on the West. The Muncie Civic Theater is directly to the east of the project site.
In this design, the main key word is sold framing void. Both solid and void are served as programmed space. As the solids came together, voids emerged. To reinforce the idea of façade, vertical windows and horizontal windows came up. Changing the size from the façade, “Solid frames void” idea came out. Also, through pushing windows back or forward, void and solid created.
The programs include an auditorium, several classrooms and admin offices, printer room, child care room, a market place, four story tall leasing office, workforce equipment room, health space, gym space including locker rooms and yoga rooms.
A courtyard inside of the building with a pond provides visitors a comfort vibe to go outside. Also, the roof of each floor is also a outdoor space or roof garden for the upper level. There are some open and shaded sitting area, and path on the roof garden.

There’s a community school and church near the site. And the site is surrounded by a long river, like an isolated island. Local communities can hang out around the site. In this community can meet the basic needs of life, shopping, schools, restaurants, banks, etc. Moreover, the main road of W Smith St crosses the east-west direction of the middle of the community. There is a small bridge on the east side, but this does not become a formal, main passage.
In my design, my conceptual approach is combining repetitive volumes to form a new space. A growth of building and site grow and enlarge as you move from point to point. I define the space by the room, each space is independent and yet connected to create the whole. Wooden circulation creates the space for users to make a choice. The internal height of the building space is also changing, creating a dynamic spatial beauty. The space below the building is a garden maze, a good place to play. The building rises and falls, echoing the idea of the maze. The contrast between the virtual and the real formed by wooden circulation makes the building light and transparent. The entire building is an open space, and undefined boundary line with entrances and exits on both East and West sides. The main entrance is on the South side and is connected to community by a long bridge. The bridge is over the river.
site plan
-For people of different age ranges, architecture gives them different feelings; for young children, here is their space for growth; for students going to school, here is their learning space; for working people, here is their a space to relax after work; for retired people, here is a place for their friends to chat.
-I think we need a road that directly connects our venues and communities.

In this age of conglomerates, two industry giants, Barnes and Noble and Amazon.tree, are joining forces to create an extension of the Barnes and Noble - coffee shop idea. Their new joint venture will be the combination of a specialty book/information source which will have (as they say in the add) has “every piece of information in every language every written” about the growth and cultivation of plant materials in a combination of written and electronic forms. Contingent with this informational resource will be the real deal! A source for virtually any plant, suitable to the climate, that you might want to cultivate. Exotic plants would also be available for “personal - homeowners” controlled climate greenhouses.

In this design studio, students will design a rehabilitation and an addition to the Gilmer Chapel, a small historic rural chapel, located in southwestern Virginia. This project will entail the design of a small kitchen, full bathroom, storage, bedroom, and well pump/water tank space. The project will encompass a one hundred square foot addition(maximum).
The renovated building is lead by a gravel road surrounded by trees to the entrance. It has one open bedroom, an open kitchen, a dinning area, a living room, a half shaded terrace ajacent to the living room, and one ADA bathroom. The bathroom on the Northeast as the addition for the project.
This is a section view cutting from the living room facing the back wall. It shows the sofas in the living room. At the same time, the line cutting through the bathroom, which shows the wash sink, toliet and the window on the wall.

Apple recently introduced a new version of the iPhone; however, the phone design is similar to the last version. To complicate matters further, several other competing manufactures have released phones that are very similar to the iPhone. To remain competitive, Apple is looking for a new and innovative design for the next version.
