EQUIPMENT Telescoping and Articulating Cranes, Bucket Trucks, Aerial Lifts and Mechanic Service Trucks
About Runnion In 1975, Earle and Dorothy Runnion established Runnion Equipment Company to sell, service, and rent truck mounted cranes. Earle had been in the heavy equipment business for 27 years and combined his company, then named National Construction Equipment Company, with Talbert Equipment Company, a trailer dealer, to create Runnion Equipment Company in Lyons, Illinois. Today, under the guidance of Patrick Runnion and his management team, the company's primary market is Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. A strong nationwide presence is maintained by routinely buying, selling, and renting equipment across North America and, from time to time, overseas as well. Don't be surprised to see the Runnion logo proudly displayed on cranes working in Alaska, Hawaii, the British West Indies, or anywhere in between!
Dependable Cranes & Equipment
We know that you need dependable cranes to run your business successfully. We have developed strong, long term relationships with the crane manufacturers we represent. Only those manufacturers who support their warranties consistently and fairly and who also have excellent parts availability have endured the test of time with Runnion Equipment Company. Once we understand your needs, we will present options that include both new and used equipment. We make it a point to have an inventory of used units available, including cranes, buckets and aerial lifts from our own rental fleet that have been inspected by our factory-trained technicians. We have consignment units available for sale as well, but if you are not ready to buy and find yourself with excess equipment, we will be happy to sell that equipment for you.

Available Parts
Runnion Equipment Company maintains over a million dollars in parts inventory to support the telescoping and articulating equipment and trailers that we sell, as well as aftermarket and generic, non-critical parts to help you control costs. If we don't have it in stock, we can get it, and our reputation depends on our ability to locate it quickly. We can also help with your parts needs for older, out of production or off-market cranes. Rebuilt and used crane parts are regularly available, as are parts for routine maintenance. Runnion Equipment Company stocks a wide selection of hydraulic hoses, fittings, and fluids to keep your crane running. Don't let a leaky hose stop you!
OSHA Inspections
Our OSHA and ANSI inspections include a detailed list of items that require servicing or replacement in order for your unit to meet the applicable standards. Once repairs are made and the standards are met, our Inspection Report and Inspection Sticker applied to your crane ensures that your machine is operating safely and allows you access to government funded jobsites. Runnion also provides truck DOT inspections and truck safety inspections. In addition, for your peace of mind, we also offer a Pre-Buy or Pre-Auction inspection of a crane or bucket truck that you are considering purchasing or selling.

Factory Training
Because of our commitment to constant training, Runnion Equipment Company maintains an “Elite Dealer” status with our manufacturers. Our Service Department is staffed with factory-trained union technicians who diagnose and repair your cranes quickly and correctly—on time and within budget.
Technological Advancements
Our specialized technicians keep abreast of innovations by attending routine courses on the latest technological advancements manufactured into today’s cranes, such as computer monitoring and plug-in diagnostics. We also offer mobile repair units equipped for fast on-site repairs or emergency service.
In the Classroom and on the Job
Runnion combines classroom training with on-the-job experience for a thorough understanding of crane maintenance and repair. Safety regulations and procedures are emphasized throughout the training process. ADVANTAGE
Custom Mounting & Chassis Modifications ■ Trailer, barge, pedestal, and rolling base crane mounts ■ Tag and pusher axles ■ Fifth wheel addition ■ L engthen and shorten frames ■ Pintle hitches ■ Custom service and plumber bodies
If you have a need for a special type body to accommodate dimensional payload, handle tool storage, or accept stake sides, we can provide it. If you would like the capability of towing a trailer, we can add a fifth wheel to your chassis, as well as shorten or lengthen the frame as required. Tag and pusher axles are a common installation for us. If you need to tow a tag trailer or generator to jobsites, we have several pintle hitch capacities to choose from and will install one on your unit.
While commercial truck mounted cranes are our specialty, and Runnion Equipment Company is synonymous with “Boom Trucks,” we also have extensive experience with telescoping and articulating cranes and buckets. Over the years, working closely with our manufacturers, we have developed a variety of mounting options for efficient operation to increase your productivity.

Truck Mounted Service Cranes and Bodies Light and Heavy Duty Cranes Stellar Industries heavy and light duty telescopic cranes are used for day to day hauling of materials. You can complete the job faster and more efficiently using the radio remote that offers precise crane control and a planetary winch that delivers the lifting power you need. Maximum capacity Maximum reach
Light Duty 3,000 lb to 6,000 lb 21'
Heavy Duty 7,000 lb to 14,000 lb 11' to 30'
Applications Construction, DOT and public works, electrical contracting, mining, utilities, and more
EC Series Electric Cranes The EC Series electric cranes offer power comparable to light hydraulic cranes, as a more economical option. Your costs are reduced, because the EC Series cranes don’t need a pump, hydraulic reservoir, or power takeoff to transfer power from the engine. Plus, they operate with electricity rather than fuel, so you can use them indoors. Maximum capacity Maximum reach
2,000 lb to 6,000 lb 7' to 21'
Applications Warehousing, service buildings, machine shops, plant, and manufacturing applications
TC Series Compact Cranes The TC Series “T-Boom” cranes offer a compact but powerful alternative to larger cranes. The proprietary Stellar CDT crane control system allows the crane to be operated with a handheld proportional radio remote control, so they can be better positioned around load and work areas. These cranes take up minimal bed space. Maximum capacity Maximum reach
