CANALS & CONFLUENCE
The Urban Studio focused on Water Urbanism, studying how urban form evolves in response to water. It emphasized understanding the reciprocal relationship between water systems and the built environment.
Srinagar was chosen for its unique interplay between the Dal Lake, canals, and settlements. The lake plays a vital role in the city’s ecology, economy, and culture. The studio explored how urban growth can be reimagined to align with water systems, rather than conflict with or neglect them.
Project : Urban Design Studio | Sem VIII
Location : Srinagar, Kashmir, India
Area : 200 ha

The chosen site was located in the heart of Dal Lake’s ecological and tourism district, characterized by floating settlements, houseboats, and seasonal floating gardens. It held cultural and economic significance, while also facing ecological stress. An intricate canal system ran through the area, shaped by one of the lake’s primary outflows located at the edge of the site.

Natural Features - Srinagar
After understanding the layered issues within the urban fabric at the lake’s core, these were broken down into four key components to enable meaningful, long-term interventions. These components—Shikaras, Houseboats, Floating Settlements, and Floating Gardens—each held significance in shaping the area’s ecological, cultural, and economic context.

Awareness Trail - Dal Lake
One of the key interventions was the development of an awareness trail along the edge of the floating gardens and floating settlements. Designed for both tourists and local residents, the trail integrates awareness ghats for Shikara operators and the community, fostering engagement with the lake’s ecology.
It also includes a Research and Development Center focused on the future of floating gardens and the preservation of Dal Lake’s severely threatened ecosystem.

KNOWLEDGE PROMENADE
A center that facilitates both formal and informal interactions, fostering a culture of collaborative research and exploration. The design evolved through a response to the terrain, eventually shaping up to fulfill functions of an Architecture Incubation Center.
The project is anchored by an interactive promenade that links key programmatic spaces—serving as both a circulation spine and a vibrant platform for dialogue and engagement.
Project : Institution Studio | Sem V
Location : Bodakdev, Ahmedabad
Area : 5000 Sqm
Material : Brick and Concrete

Following the natural slope in both directions, the design creates double-height spaces as the terrain descends. Orienting the building along the contours also allows a street-promenade to form naturally, integrating movement with the landscape.

WORKING DRAWING
The working drawing phase was essential in translating design intent into buildable reality. For the institutional project, I developed a comprehensive set of drawings including the setting out plan, floor plans, wall sections, and door-window details.
This process taught me how spatial quality emerges through careful detailing—how the core design ideas begin to take physical form through precise, wellthought-out construction elements.

PROFESSIONAL WORK
Thirdspace Architecture Studio
The professional work section highlights selected projects from my internship, offering insights into realworld architectural processes. One project was led by me in collaboration with the principal architect, while another involved assisting with good-for-construction 3D models and drawings.
I also contributed to the conceptual development of a hospital project and the design development of housing interiors.

BANGALORE PALACE Adaptive re-use

Project : Restaurant & Co-working
Location : Jaymahal, Bangalore
Area : 2 hectares
This project revitalizes a neglected section of Bangalore Palace through adaptive reuse and contemporary interventions, creating a dynamic coworking and design district. By integrating heritage conservation with modern functionality, the space attracts youth and business professionals, ensuring sustained footfall and revenue generation.
The design process involved site analysis, development of a conceptual brief, 3D modeling of existing structures, and iterative design explorations. The proposal enhances the palace’s commercial viability while preserving its architectural essence, fostering a vibrant and engaging environment.

KLE SCHOOL Nerul, Navi Mumbai

Project : KLE Society Secondary School
Location : Nerul, Navi Mumbai
Area : 4000 sqm

The school project offered hands-on experience in translating design into execution. My work focused on preparing a detailed good-for-construction 3D model and issuing accurate wall section drawings. I was involved in making small-scale design decisions—such as railing details and member thicknesses—ensuring they aligned with the building’s overall facade expression.

This process deepened my understanding of how conceptual facades are realized through precise wall section detailing and how design intent carries through at every scale.

MISCELLANEOUS
The miscellaneous section highlights a variety of experiences beyond traditional architectural practice. It includes study programs, personal hobbies like sketching, and a competition entry that demonstrates creative exploration.
Additionally, this section showcases involvement in the college festival, Kalp, where leadership roles as installation head and later as student head for all installations provided valuable insights into collaborative creativity and project management.

Visualizing a rhythmic movement, the idea was to develop a people centric mechanism. An interactive and engaging gateway in the center of the lawn, the installation functions with a system of pulleys that enable the movement of members in the path of a sine wave.
