NAIDOC

27 April Dianella Education Precinct held their annual ANZAC Commemorative Ceremony. Special guest Federal Member for Stirling Vince Connelly addressed the ceremony. Due to Covid restrictions the ceremony was filmed and streamed to classrooms.

Merryl to provide an overview of the precinct approach to address reconciliation and sorry day in 2022 and the planned date and activities scheduled for the upcoming NAIDOC celebrations across the precinct.

Funding agreements

Update Each school is required:

Review the following documents:    

the funding agreement schedule A – your student-centred funding statement schedule B – targeted initiatives (if applicable) schedule C – annual school report requirements.

After you have reviewed the documents: 

you (as the principal) must sign the funding agreement to endorse it.

Schedules A and B must be attached to the agreement when you sign it the chairperson of the school board or council must sign the funding agreement to record that they have noted it the endorsement and chairperson notation must be recorded in the minutes of the board or council meeting.

Each school will provide their Funding Agreement for endorsement with an explanation on how they are meeting the requirements of each of their Targeted Initiatives.

Annual Report

As a part of the Delivery and Performance Agreement each school is to develop and publish to the school community an annual report about the schools:  progress against identified school priorities  contextualised information about student achievement  Funding accountability; and  Parent, teacher, student satisfaction.

Each individual school will provide their Annual Report to the school board for endorsement and approval.

Reports will be provided during the meeting, with any feedback to be presented by the 20 May. With any adjustments made from feedback, reports will then be endorsed by the School Board on this date.

Change to school development day

Performing arts centre

Due to the ongoing issues with Covid restrictions of schools getting together, the West Swan Network of Primary Schools has cancelled our upcoming conference. This was to be held on Friday 3 June and taken as a second school development day for DPC. To realign with the precinct the Primary School proposes changing this school development day to Monday 18 July.

Due to ongoing issues impacting teaching and learning across the Education Support Centre and the Secondary College with the new Performing Arts Centre the board would like to discuss options for the raising of the awareness of these impacts and seek support for a timely and practical solution.
