PRIORITY 2: QUALITY TEACHING AND LEARNING 2.1 Assessment, Data and Development Engage in whole school evidence based InCAS assessment and consider data. Create a Literacy committee to consider the assessment date and depth of differentiation needed to support student success. Develop evidence-based programs to improve literacy and communication outcomes. Identify, develop and embed a Literacy 4 blocks approach for students Year 7-9/10.
2.2 Peer Observation and Feedback Cycle Teachers and administration to develop a whole school policy to develop effective Teaching and Learning. Develop whole school peer observation growth coaching model to support teaching and excellence. Develop a teacher and EA Preliminary Performance Development tool. Revisit all Performance Management Goals in Term 1 and Term 4.
2.3 Safe and Engaging Learning Environment Develop and embed effective restructured Student Services Team. Rewrite positive behaviour management policy to detail Dianella SC ESC Positive Practices. Embed Positive Practices as a trauma informed approach to promoting student's wellbeing and management. Identify and implement Key Word Sign as a whole school communication strategy. Engage with allied professionals to understand sensory profiling to ensure student success. Develop a comprehensive Remote Learning Plan. Develop further physical learning spaces to promote wellbeing. Continue to build an environment that encourages the inclusion of Aboriginal students and improve learning outcomes.
2.4 Widen Cultural Competency Identify and develop a cultural curriculum calendar to promote our diversity as a centre. Engage with Precinct to commit to Reconciliation Plan. Seek professional learning to embed Aboriginal Teaching strategies in each classroom.
