Welcome Workshops Over the last two weeks classroom teachers have been holding their Welcome Workshops, the workshops have been a great way for parents to meet their child's teacher, hear the class routines and expectations and to see how they can support their child’s learning at home. Great to see so many parents coming along. Assembly Well done to students from Room 4 who held our first class assembly for the year this week. The students did a fantastic job confidently speaking and performing in front of the whole school. Well done Yr 4’s! Harmony Day On Friday 13 March all students will be involved in our Harmony Day celebrations. Students will be participating in art, dance and cooking workshops and we will also be holding a multicultural lunch. Parents will be asked to provide a traditional plate of food to share from their country Open Night On Wednesday 8 April we will be holding our annual School Open Night from 5pm. The evening is a wonderful opportunity for parents and family members to come into the school and to see what their child has been up to. Please mark the date in your diaries and I look forward to seeing as many families as possible on the evening. Parents and Citizens I would like to thank our outgoing P&C executive committee who provided ongoing support to the school in 2019. Thank you Lauren and your team for all of your hard work. Thank you to those parents who attended last weeks P&C AGM and especially to those parents who put their hand up to form the next executive committee. We welcome Kay into the presidents role and I look forward to working with Kay and the team for the benefit of our students. School Chaplain Did you know we have a new school chaplain? Izzy will be with us each Wednesday and Friday and is available to speak to students and provide pastoral care support for any issues they may be facing. Students can send Izzy a message to her post box or stop her and have a chat on her days. Parents please make sure you say hello when you see her around the school and feel free to have a chat with her if you have any concerns for your child.
