Principals Report: Dear Parents / Care Givers I would like to thank the School Community for the wonderful support they have given Dianella Primary College throughout the 2020 school year. The Dianella Education Precinct Board, the P&C, parent helpers, volunteers and other Informal groups have made the running of our school very successful this year. We acknowledge your efforts and thank you sincerely. All students have worked hard and consistently through the year and we commend them for their efforts. It is wonderful to see our students grow both academically and socially. We wish the graduating year 6 students and those students exiting the Intensive English Centre, the best of luck in their new schools. We know that you will all look back upon your time at Dianella Primary College with fond memories. We have a wonderful staff at our school and they have committed themselves tirelessly throughout the year. Staff of Dianella PC consistently go above and beyond for our students and we thank you for your continued efforts and support. Graduation Presentation On Tuesday evening we said good bye and farewell to our graduating year 6 students. Our 39 year 6 students leave us to continue their schooling at various high schools and we wish them all the best for their new adventure. The large number of parents and family members ensured the children felt special on their day and we thank you for your support. I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of Ms Vince, Ms Rowling, Ms Samardzija and Mrs Honey for all of your efforts coordinating the evening. The students, parents and I certainly appreciated your efforts. Presentation Assembly Yesterday we held our final assembly for the year to recognise outstanding student achievement and celebrate active citizenship in the school. At Dianella Primary College we continually seek opportunities to recognise and reward students for excellence in citizenship, academic progress and endeavour. The Awards’ assembly provided staff the opportunity to recognize students’ achievement from each class from Kindergarten to Year 5 and I would like to congratulate all of our award winners. You have all worked extremely hard this year and deserve the recognition, well done!
Finally the staff of Dianella Primary College would like to wish all of our families and students a happy and safe holiday. For those families who celebrate Christmas I wish you all a happy and joyous time and hope that you enjoy the day with family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed in 2020.
The first day of school is Monday 3 February 2020. Anthony Middleton PRINCIPAL
