More than a cup, Ruby Cup is a tool for bringing about change and building a better future.

More than a cup, Ruby Cup is a tool for bringing about change and building a better future.

We are the first menstrual cup brand in the world to develop and implement a “Buy One, Give One” donation program.
Ruby Cup was created out of a desire for change. When a person who has periods invests in a Ruby Cup, they are not only investing in their health, well-being, and the environment, they are also investing in the health and well-being of another person. A person who, ordinarily, would struggle to access basic period care.
Our mission is to eradicate period poverty around the world.
We believe that having access to safe menstrual health products and factual information about period care is a basic human right. No one should have to miss out or be discriminated against for having periods.
We have created a model that tackles social and environmental challenges worldwide.
We are a social enterprise who invests profits we make from selling Ruby Cups into funding our mission to eradicate period poverty.
We’ve created a revolutionary menstrual cup that people want to buy. When a person purchases a Ruby Cup, not only do they reduce how much plastic waste they generate and lessen their environmental impact, they also ensure that a person experiencing period poverty receives an identical cup.

For each Ruby Cup sold we donate another one, we have donated over 110,000 Ruby Cups in the last decade and every donation reaches a program participant through a distribution that comprises an educational workshop and supportive follow-ups.
We work with organizations in Africa, Asia, and Europe and we collect data on the participants’ satisfaction and cup adoption rates so we can improve our procedures.
In terms of how we deliver information on how to use a cup for menstrual health, we have produced guides, quizzes, and videos to help those that are interested in becoming cup users.
For our social impact partners based all over the world, we have created a comprehensive training toolkit to support them through the educational workshop they MUST deliver for each cup distribution.

So far, we’ve donated more than 110,000 Ruby Cups, ensuring that more than 110,000 people can have better and safer periods.
This has resulted in Ruby Cup becoming the world’s leading menstrual cup donor.
As part of our “Buy One, Give One” model, we invest in running comprehensive educational workshops to dismantle myths and taboos surrounding periods. We provide sound, clear, and straightforward information on menstruation.
To achieve this, we work with both tiny, grassroots organizations and large, well-known international NGOs such as CARE International, Population Services International, and UNHCR.
We’re extremely transparent about where we send our donations and always follow up to make sure our educational workshops are having the best possible impact. We accompany our program participants while they get used to using a menstrual cup—we don’t pretend that handing over a cup and a set of instructions is enough.

This process can be even more challenging in communities that aren’t familiar with menstrual cups and how they work, in which people have been exposed to misinformation about the concept of virginity and the hymen, and where privacy and bathrooms with running water are not necessarily the norm.
Therefore, we devote great effort and resources to making sure that our program participants receive as much support as possible. We want them to get the most out of our program and our products so that they can reach their full potential.
We know for a fact that there is no impact without accountability.
What do you say, are you with us?
