The city of Accra and the entire GAMA region have a major issue planning and organizing their city. Lacking planning capacity and implementation is the root of many further issues and challenges. One aspect is the lack
of integrated land-use and infrastructure planning. By this work, the implementation of a functioning transport system in the existing urban environment is theoretically strategized. This strategy is constructing a bottom-up
roadmap approach towards achieving a fully functioning regional Public Transport network. The trotro, the typical informal mode of public transportation, will be the focal element in this strategy.
