RuardeanHillRangersplaytheirfootballonthehighestpointintheForestofDean,920feet abovesealevel.
Formedin1919,RuardeanHillplayedintheoldForestofDeanleagueuntilitsterminationin thelate1950’s.TheythenmovedintotheNorthGloucestershireLeagueandhaveremained thereinsomecapacityeversince.

RuardeanHillgainedtheirfirstpromotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeaguein1994/95and competedinthisleagueforseveralseasonsbeforebeingrelegatedin2001.They immediatelyregainedpromotionthefollowingyearonlytoberelegatedagainin2004.In the2011/12season,theyearnedalastdaypromotionbacktotheseniorleagueaswellas reachingthefinalofthe‘AmateurCup’The2012/13seasonbroughttheclubitsfirst promotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeagueDivision1fromback-to-backpromotions.‘TheHill’ finishedinthetopeightforeachofthenextthreeseasonsbeforefinallywinningtheDivision 1titlein2016/2017season.Theyscoredanincredible125goalsandconcededjust34in35 games.
RuardeanHill’scurrentfirstteamhasagoodmixtureof youth,fromouryouthteams,andexperiencefromthe samecoregroupofplayers.Thecoregroupplayers havebeenintheteamforabout10years.Theynowfield 3seniorteams;theclub’spromotionsowealottothe depthofitsotherseniorteams
Theclubarenowcompetingintheir5thseasoninthe MarcliffCountyLeaguehavingfinished9thand5thin theirfirsttwoseasons.Theyarenowfullycementedin theCountyLeagueandtheyarelookingtopushonand finishashighaspossible.

Overtheyearswehaveofferedtheopportunityforregularfootballtothousandsofboysandmen,withc.100 signingontoourbookseachyearWewerefoundermembersoftheGloucesterCountyLeagueinthelate 1960sandhavepreviouslyverysuccessfullyplayedcountyleaguefootballformanyyearswithaproud historyofhonoursandpromotionsWerunourFirst,Reserves,ATeamsandUnder18’s(newforthe 2024/2025season)andoperateatalentedSundayTeam Wehave,inthepast,wonawardsforourground workandprogrammes.

We,manyyearsagoplayedintheFACup,almostgettingtoWembley,aswellastheFAVaseduringthe 1970s.In1980theclubstartedourownCharityShieldCompetitionrunningtournamentswithteams participatingandwecontinuetoruntournamentandcharityeventseveryyearWeareafamilyfriendly club,withastrongsocialfollowing,adeterminationtosupportpeople,andahugepassionforfootball.
Duringthe2022/2023seasonour1stTeamunderthemanagementteamofTomMorgan(Skinney)and JasonSide(Sider)wontheBristol&DistrictPremierDivision,theLeagueCupFinalWinners(April2023)and LesJamesCup(2023) WinningtheleaguesawHAFCbeingpromotedbackintotheMarcliffCounty League UnderthesamemanagementteamwithCraigSperring(ex-player)joiningSkinneyandSider,we finished7thintheleagueandcompletedintwocupfinals………….unfortunately,wewererunnersuponboth occasions
