Formedin1919,RuardeanHillplayedintheoldForestofDeanleagueuntilitsterminationin thelate1950’s.TheythenmovedintotheNorthGloucestershireLeagueandhaveremained thereinsomecapacityeversince.

RuardeanHillgainedtheirfirstpromotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeaguein1994/95and competedinthisleagueforseveralseasonsbeforebeingrelegatedin2001.They immediatelyregainedpromotionthefollowingyearonlytoberelegatedagainin2004.In the2011/12season,theyearnedalastdaypromotionbacktotheseniorleagueaswellas reachingthefinalofthe‘AmateurCup’The2012/13seasonbroughttheclubitsfirst promotiontotheNorthernSeniorLeagueDivision1fromback-to-backpromotions.‘TheHill’ finishedinthetopeightforeachofthenextthreeseasonsbeforefinallywinningtheDivision 1titlein2016/2017season.Theyscoredanincredible125goalsandconcededjust34in35 games.
RuardeanHill’scurrentfirstteamhasagoodmixtureof youth,fromouryouthteams,andexperiencefromthe samecoregroupofplayers.Thecoregroupplayers havebeenintheteamforabout10years.Theynowfield 3seniorteams;theclub’spromotionsowealottothe depthofitsotherseniorteams
Theclubarenowcompetingintheir5thseasoninthe MarcliffCountyLeaguehavingfinished9thand5thin theirfirsttwoseasons.Theyarenowfullycementedin theCountyLeagueandtheyarelookingtopushonand finishashighaspossible.

RuardeanHill’sfirstteammatchlastweekresultedina4-1victoryawaytoFiltonAthletic.Inafast-pacedgame,theHilltook a1-0leadintohalftimeSteveClarkscoringfromthepenaltyspot,afterTaylorBlabywasfouledinsidethearea ThesecondhalfbeganwithFiltonpressingforanequaliser.TheHilldefenceheldfirmandafterfifteenminutes,theHill increasedtheirlead.KaneFellowsplayingtheballforwardtoLukeBrown,whocrossedforasmartSteveClarkfinish. Filtonkeptpressing,butadefensivemistakeallowedTaylorBlabytofurtherincreasetheHillleadFiltonthenpulledagoal backthroughJackCole,beforeSteveClarkcompletedhishattricktogivetheHillvictoryandmovethemupto6thposition intheleaguetable.

FramptonUtdAFCwasfoundedin1891,makingitoneofthefoundermembersoftheStroud League.TheyhaveplayedattheBellFieldforover80yearsandoriginallytheirHQwastheBell Hoteluntil1968whennewchangingquarterswerebuiltontheBellField.
Theclubhascompetedinanumberofleagueswithinthecounty.Theearlyyearsseeingthemin theStroudLeague,andthenowobsoleteSevernValeLeagueTheclubjoinedtheGlosNorthern SeniorLeaguein1953/54whichtheyweretoplayforjustoneseason,beforereturningin1964 In1976/77theReserveXIwontheStroudDivisionOneLeagueandwerepromotedtotheGlos. NorthernSeniorLeaguewhilstthe1stXIthenwentontoplayintheGlos.CountyLeagueinwhich theycompetedforafurther10years.
Aswithmanyclubs,around2002resultsofbothteamswerenotgoingourway,andacoupleof difficultseasonslayahead.
