ern Baptist State Convention (WBSC) on August 3-4 & 6-9, 2013, in San Diego, California. Linda Vista Second Baptist Church is located at 2706 Korink Ave., in San Diego; Dr. Da-

vid C. Greene is the host Pastor and Moderator. Our Theme is “Walking in Unity Through Jesus Christ”, 1John 5:4-5. The Young People’s Department will meet on Saturday, August 3, 2013. On Sunday, August 4, the Southwest District Association will present a “100 Voice” Grand Musical at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, August 6, the official opening of 123rd Annual Session is followed with the Word by Dr. John L. Lett, Moderator, Central District Association at 12:00 Noon. At 6:30 p.m., Rev. Raymond L. Chandler, Moderator, Faith District Association, brings the Word at the Ushers/First Aiders Session at 6:30 p.m. The Laymen

Session on Wednesday, August 7, features preaching by Dr. Marvis L. Davis, Moderator, Tri-County District Association, at 12:00 Noon and Rev. R. Darnell Dyson, Moderator, Landmark with a New Vision District Association, at 7 p.m. On Thursday, August 8, the Women’s Department welcomes the dynamic speaking of Dr. David C. Greene, Moderator, Southwest District Association at 12:00 Noon. At 1:30 p.m., the Women Department “Fellowship Luncheon” will be held in the Ramada Conference Center ballroom in San Diego. On Thursday evening, at 7:00 p.m., the Executive Officers, Pastors, Auxiliary Lead-

ers, members, and workers will gather for the delivery of God’s profound word and vision by President J. Benjamin Hardwick in his ANNUAL ADDRESS. The culmination of the 123rd Annual Session will begin on Friday, August 9, with the Moderator’s breakfast and meeting at 9:00 a.m., the Word of God by Rev. Torrey Collins, Landmark with a New Vision District Association, at 12:00 Noon, and Rev. Michael Fisher, President, WBSC Young Adult Convention, Annual Address at 7:00 p.m. President Hardwick declared, “our Spirit led 123rd Annual Session will feature the finest in worship, singing, and praise and lift up the name of Jesus.

day and week after week, as he preaches, sometimes three sermons on Sunday, and teaches the Word on Wednesdays in an unadulterated fashion. Not only does he labor here at Holy Chapel, but is known and visible throughout the community. He is passionate about what he does, is a person of compassion, a great teacher, an outstanding pastor; he who loves the people that the Lord has given him to shepherd. First Lady Ruby stands with him in all of his endeavors, shows her love for him as well as the congregation. She is precious to the Holy Chapel Family. “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs

31:10. The chosen theme for this occasion is: “Our Pastor & Wife, Standing on a Firm Foundation”, Luke 6:48. The celebration will be held on August 4th, 7th, 8th, and 11th. Sunday services will be held at 3:30 p.m. and evening services at 7:00 p.m. A Pastoral Dinner will be held on Friday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m. in our Bertha Mason Memorial Hall.
