MESSAGE FROM AREA CHAIRMAN AREA 5 (2018-19)

Dear Friends at Area 5 Warm Greeting from your Area Chairman, When the year started, it started on a non digital note with a TEXT in the heart of Jim Corbett. We bonded and united as one in the lap of nature without our technological devices. Then came the taking over of the jewel, which was a moment of both pride as well as an emotional one. IPAC Mahesh, left huge shoes for me to fill in having coloured the lifes of many in his year.

LAPD's saw a huge fillip with LEAP (Leadership in Extension And Personality Dev), a first in Area 5 to provide and equip us with new trainers. It was a leap of faith but one, which was much needed. CEXT , another initiative was one which Area 5 has now given to the nationals and its being rebranded as TOP, where each table now has a module to train its conveners.

The second AEX held in Delhi was one which ended with Oktoberfest. This was the third year that Oktoberfest has been held successfully with tablers across Area 5 quenching their thirst. The third AEX was one classy one and fellowship with central India playing warm and perfect hosts, like only they know how to. This was a special AEX especially in light of the re-organization of the area.

Another historic AEX was the 4th AEX in Russia. For the first time an AEX was ever conducted on foreign soil.

60 tablers, huge fellowship and a one of a kind event was in one word LEGENDARY, Thanks to my partner in crime Rajat, wont have been possible without you…… The 5th and final AEX also made a re-appearance after many years. The 5th AEX was one where we went over what we had planend from day one and drew the curtain down on a year we have lived infinitely. The grand finale will be the AAGM in Goa. Another first with a huge representation going to hit the beaches of Goa for some fun, Area 5 ishstyle… It is also worth mentioning that each of these AEX's was live. This helped bring the AEX to the floor tabler as well. The IT initiative was lauded and is being adopted by other Area's as well.

Sports saw an increase focus this year. Chak De Phatte, the theme for Jaffa was launched and Jaffa was conducted successfully. Even the rain could keep the players of the field with tablers across India and for the first time we had the international team headed by the International President himself. It was indeed one of the largest Jaffas ever held with widespread publicity as well. APL, or the Area Premier League was another event where tablers across Area 5 played their hearts out in the game of cricket. A unique event modeled on the IPL style but for tablers. Fitness was a central theme of the year with fitness conveners out to ensure that Area 5 becomes lean and mean. Numerous out of the box measures were done through the year to make sure that we all become fitter.

Publicity was an area which Area 5 has really worked on this year. Mega publicity was conducted via the use of the RTI logos and signage on trolleys at the Delhi airport. This gave us a huge mileage in the sense of putting the word out there of our wonderful organization. Another initiative was encouragement to vote with hoardings bearing the RTI signage being put up during the polls. Further publicity came with the out of the box Art with Heart event targeting a set of HNI's with a unique art exhibition to rise funds. Another huge publicity was the RTI banners on Trucks which also created a huge impact.

RTI as an organization need a much-needed impetus to add value to it. Thus this year, we focused a lot on corporate tie ups, reaching a toll of 40 tie-up being done by Area 5 with Radission Hotels, Taj Group, Yes Bank, Medanta, Max, Easemytrip, Car Insurance, Anytime Fitness, Army tie up and it's a never ending list.

In one of the most unique events, Noida Kidathon brought about an event for twinklers. A one of a kind of event, which had facets of publicity, community service, fund raising, Sports and more. The media mileage that RTI received in this unique out of the box well organized event was limitless. It was again another first in Area 5 with Chennai Kidathon being the trailblazer. I hope that in the years ahead, this event becomes a showcase event for Area 5. Another fund raising event was the Guru Randhwa concert, which brought publicity as well as finances to help us give back to society.

Other notable mentions are the RT Idol winners from Area 5, Dr Debashish Sarkar ATRT 329 as well as the Big Boss Winner of Season 2, Abhiney Vij ATRT 329.

Area 5 is one none of 37 Tables (5 Tables Added In This Year). Extensions was a facet which engulfed the area like a bonfire. New tabling centres were commenced in Jabalpur, Karnal, Jhansi, Gwalior with Jammu also on the cards.

Another big step in this area was the re-organization of Central India. This is one of the hardest decisions that we had to take. It is never easy to say goodbye but with central India becoming a new area, it is a goodbye that is on us. I'd like to say this a bit differently by stating that it's not a good bye, but will see you again soon that we should say to our brothers from Central India. We wish them the best and all our love and support in the years to come.

Fellowship, a facet that is the lifeblood of Area 5 has thrived and has been at an all time high. We saw many unique events, also many Landmark Meetings -500th Meet - DSRT 151, 600th Meet - DART 130, 1000th Meet - DMRT 43 & 1111th Meet - DSRT 32.

But the area where we have surpassed expectations is the construction of over 65 classrooms, 8 FTE Assist to a tune of more than 4cr. It was recorded the highest in RTI, Super work done by the conveners in achieving this target.

Area 5 also made major impacts in community service by the Good Touch Bad Touch Sanitizing More Than 50000 Kids and the Hum Saath Saath Hain- Fellowship Event With Parents & Grandparents Showcasing Work Done By RT as well as the Flight of Fantasy.

In the end, there is not much that I could have asked for. Each tabler fought on bravely, endured and persisted and challenged their limits to add colors to the lives of all those around them. They all lived infinitely. As the curtain comes down on what has been a roller-coaster ride for me, I will forever, live each of the moments that you have given me this year for the rest of my life infinitely.

Last but not the least, this year DSRT 151, was awarded the ASPA Best Club of the year, After 20 long years we got this, Awesome work done by Chairman DSRT 151 Tr. What a year it has been! You made everyone live life infinite!

We had just begun the year with a theme “Live Life Infinite” and the year has just flown by. It has full of cherished memories, new experience and beautiful experience. Thirty Seven tie ups in the year in corporate alliances by Suresh, Jaffa in area 5 and AEX in Moscow itself speaks about the kind of year you have delivered in Area V as a leader. The way you passionately discuss things where you go into minute attention to details itself speaks about the passion, zeal and commitment. I am so proud that our area has truly done well in most facets have been on a new high.

The year has been on super high on energy and people have actually enjoyed infinite fun. The reorganization done by you in making the complete new area “Area 17” shows your leadership skills and the way you handled the organization in such a smooth manner is truly incredible. You have given me shoes which have so many difficult to fill in but I will try my level best to do complete justice to the faith bestoud on me by Area V. I know I have your full support as an IPAC in the year 19-20 and I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors in tabling.

Looking forward for “Vacation Times” with the MISFITS and Iam sure we all shall a dent in the universe.

Dear Friends, In Darvin's theory of survival of a species he says its not the fittest that survives its a most adaptable.

As tablers we constant strive to bring positive impact to the life of every human that we can. This is what is at the core of our movement “EMPATHY�. This is the reason why we have put practical implications of reorganisation before our emotions of staying in one big area.

This one big step will ensure that RTI continues on the growth trajectory on a higher pace then ever.

This has been possible with relentless efforts of our leaders like National President Elect Tr Piyush Daga, Area Chairman Sahil, and all tablers of combined Area 5.

Chairman Sahil has been a beacon of light from the Area always guiding and leading form example. An AEx almost 5000 kms from the area was considered impossible, but under the leadership of Chairman Sahil and AST Shivam and hard work and perseverance of Tr Rajat impossible became possible and Tablers from across Area 5 and beyond had memories for lifetime.

AST Shivam you timely reporting and exquisite reporting has been revolutionary. The way you have motivated table secretaries is commendable.

AVC Tr Tarang you are a peoples man the way you connect with tablers is inspiring. Your aura and positive energy inspires tablers to do more. You are a born leader and I'm sure this will be a landmark year for Area5 and RTI. IPAC Tr Mahesh you have been an ideal IPAC, your were always there and you were solving issue with your experience even before they could grow into any kind of trouble. I have learned so much from you and I admire the way you lead Area5 last year. Its was an honour serving Area 5 with you and will look always look for your guidance.

Dear Friends at Area 5, Its been an infinite year where we all have lived our lives infinitely. A huge thank you to the man who has led the team so flawlessly, the one and only Area Chairman Sahil Jindal who has proved that nothing is impossible, always taken people along with him, guided us, always a call away.

The year gone by has been truly wonderful where each one of us have seen and experienced the colorful facets of tabling, be it extension, reorganization of area or any other facet. In such a year, it has been both a privilege and honor to have held the post of AST for the year 2018-19. The insight and the learning I have got cannot be compared to the one we get from books, it has to be experienced. It has been a pleasure to contribute to the movement.

I thank all the secretary's and chairman's and floor tablers for having supported me during this last one year. A special thanks to the Area HT's, NHT's, Tarun Bhai, Dheeraj Bhai, Prashant Bhai, Anjum Bhai, Munshi Bhai & and all mentors who have guided me through the year and have just been a call away for any small doubt I had. I would also like to thank Tr. D.K. Singh and Tr Rohit Dang, my closest friends and bothers who have been with me through thick and thin. Dear Area Chairman Tr. Sahil & Friends, Thank you for giving me this opportunity to connect with the Tablers of Area 5 through your Annual Report.

I would like to congratulate Area Chairman Tr. Sahil for a wonderful year at the helm of the Area. He has been a very dynamic and proactive leader. I must appreciate area secretary Tr. Shivam for the support extended by him. Your meticulous coverage of all the happenings has been an integral part of the success.

Area 5 has seen so many landmarks being achieved through the year. Its been infinite things for everything. Jabalpur, Karnal, Gwalior, Jhansi and on International front Perth, all new tabling centres.

This is the highest service that we can do to our association. Well done gentlemen.

I have to thank you all for doing a fantastic job in JAFFA. Very well managed and executed. The rain did try its best to play spoil sport but couldn't get the better of you. The first ever international team was there and what an experience they had. Also you all being there personally for anything that anyone needed anytime. This was what made the difference.

Your contribution on the FTE front has again been exceptional. 65 classrooms being inaugurated in one single year. A big round of applause for every tabler of Area 5.

The number of corporate tie-ups done in Area 5 is again a benchmark. Its not only about the benefits that we get for tablers but also the spread the good word in corporate world about the work that we do.

It's such a positive brand building exercise.

The biggest tie-up or association that we have ever done is that with the Indian Army. It will be one of the biggest achievements if we are able to utilise the platform created.

Well you had another feather in your cap this year by having the First ever International AEX of any area in RTI with 60 head, Kudos to your planning and execution, setting another benchmark in your year.

Its been years that I have been seeing the amount of time and energy that was spent discussing the reorganisation of area 5. I have to congratulate Area Chairman Sahil and his team for making it happen this year. For making sure that we created new tabling centers and tables so that this was possible.

For me Area 5 has always been like a home. I have known most of you for years now. Thanks a lot to all of you for your support to me through my tabling journey and being an integral part.

I want to thank all the National Board Members 2018 – 19, Vikas Mittal, Ambuj Kejriwal, Ayush Jain, Ritesh Bansal, Chirag Sethi, Tarang Krishna, Capt Virat, Dileep Kumar Singh and ofcourse my trustees Sahil and Ashish for your support through the year. Thanks a lot NHT Anjum for your friendship right from our NLC days which is 10 years now and in future. You have always given me the correct advice and guidance through all these years.

This year a very close friend and buddy with whom I have worked since I was Area chairman is retiring.

My very dear friend Chirag Sethi. Thanks a lot for always standing by me and for the kind of efforts you gave in as the LAPD convener on my National Board. You changed how NEXT and TEXT's were perceived and executed. All the best brother for whatever you do in life.

National Treasurer 2018 – 19 Ashish Gupta, thanks a lot for your support and guidance being a part of the head board. Your calm and composed way of working is commendable. Its been a pleasure working alongside you.

Round Table Means different things to different people.. For some it is community service and charity, for some network, for some leadership, and for many fellowship and friends for life.. So it's upto you..

What you want..

Wow! Wow! Wow! Is what I feel like saying when I look at how Area 05 has performed during the year gone by...

Thousands square feet of construction in Schools including 64 Classrooms, few Science Lab and many Toilet Blocks at a value of Rs.4 Crores benefitting thousands of less privileged kids. .. you have added many more smiles, touched many more lives and made a huge difference to the Society this year through this contribution... Heartfelt congratulations to all behind this remarkable achievement!

So Many LAPD events, Fundraiser by Tables, Lot of Inter Table Fellowships, Fellowships, 37 Corporate Alliances Several external extensions including new Tabling Centres in Jhansi, Gwalior, Karnal and the work in progress for Jammu, Almost all Tables reaching 100% Legal Compliance, Tremendous amount of Publicity generated, Active participation at NAGM and all National Initiatives... the list of achievements goes on....

Area 05 has been on a roll this year. Tables have displayed exemplary performance in all the facets and have raised the bar of Tabling to another level.

Congratulations Area Chairman Sahil on a fantabulous year in office ... You have been such an inspirational leader and have led Area 05 brilliantly during the year. I truly admire your amazing leadership qualities, starting from your theme to impeccable execution, everything has been incredible. AST Shivam I run out of words when I try to describe the outstanding work done by you this year. I am so impressed with your commitment and meticulous work and You have been the backbone for both the AEx as well as for the Table Secretaries. Your quarterly reports have been clinical and extremely well compiled.

Over all an amazing journey for Area 05 ... thanks to the wonderful work done by all the Tables.... enjoy the AGM at Goa :) All the best Incoming Area Chairman Tarang and Team of Area 05 for yet another glorious year in Tabling. Dear Area Chairman Tr. Sahil Jindal, Area Secretary Treasurer Tr. Shivam Chawla & the entire family of Area 5 Hearty Greetings from your National Secretary.

Firstly let me congratulate you on a fantastic year gone by. Your contribution towards the movement has been commendable and your commitment & passion has taken the movement to greater heights.

Coordinating every activity and facet at the Area is a herculean task and you have delivered flawlessly as a team and have achieved amazing results as an individual, thereby bringing in numerous accolades to the movement.

The unending fellowships at the area are a testimony of the bonding and unity which you have helped create during the year. Mega Fellowship & Inter Table events like hosting the biggest fellowship & sporting event of RT India - Jaffa which witnessed teams from across RT India and World 11 and also included Wheelchair cricket – this was undoubtedly one of the best Jaffa which I have attended – the game & fellowship at its best; icing on the cake being the AEX in Moscow with over 60 heads – a nearly impossible task made possible because of your commitment, respect and support the vibrant Area 5 has showcased.

With 65 classrooms constructed and many Community Services activities completed during the year, you have been torchbearers of the movement, spreading the good work and joy around.

The Flight of Fantasy completed during the year will have a long term impact and will surely ignite the dreams of the lesser privileged children.

Your contribution towards Table Extension in Agra, Jabalpur, Karnal, Gwalior, Jhansi, Perth RT has ensured Round Table India grows and remains the largest Association in the world keeping in mind the need of younger generation joining the movement constantly

Round Table India Area 5 ANNUAL REPORT 2018-2019 The landmark events and area initiatives like APL – one of a kind cricket tournament cutting across boundaries of Tables and getting the teams to compete against each other followed by high octane fellowship, Kidathon, Art Exhibition and many more, have been ideal events and are indeed amazing events which can be adopted as best practice events for Areas across Round Table India.

I take a bow to all the Tablers of Area 5 for their constant efforts in raising the brand value of Round Table India and contributing to the society beyond ones imagination Publicity be it at Delhi T3 airport with branding of RT India, Branding on Trucks & Heavy vehicles or publicity at bins at Gurudwara to name a few.

Hearty congratulations to all the Super Secretaries & Treasurers and all the members who have been recognized by the Area & National Boards for their contribution and work I wish each one of you all the best for the coming year and I am sure the incoming teams will only set the bar higher to achieve and give back more to the society Round Table India is hosting the World Meet 2020 at Area 5 and I seek your complete support in making this event a historic and successful one.x Hearty congratulations to National Treasurer Tr. Ashish for being an outstanding Treasurer and bringing about a change in the processes and many checks and systems in place. Leading the biggest area of Round Table India with 34 Tables is a herculean task and achieving what has been achieved with such a big team is remarkable – well done Area Chairman Tr. Sahil, this has been an outstanding year for Area 5 & RT India thank to your efforts.

Any words are less for my dear friend and AST Tr. Shivam Chawla who has been meticulous with his work and has lead his team of Secretaries and Treasurers very well and has ensured he successfully showcases all the activities of Area 5, which has brought accolades to the movement.

I am happy to see the growth at Area 5 across all facets and wish Tr. Vinay Agarwal best wishes as he takes over as Area Chairman of the new Area in central India. With Tr. MESSAGE FROM NATIONAL TREASURER (2018–19) TR. ASHISH GUPTA

With a great pleasure and pride, it's my honor to address all the tablers of Area 5 through this annual report message. It's always a happy moment to talk to the tablers of Area 5, since Area 5 is closest to my heart, Reasons are obvious. This year, Sahil and Shivam, kudos to both of you for wonderfully leading the area.

What not has been done this year! The much needed table extension for the sake of smooth reorganization. Five new tabling centers is not a small task. It's something which everybody thrive to achieve, but can only be done with long-term vision and lot of efforts.

FTE schools, yes Area 5, especially central India and Punjab, have been always ahead when it comes to FTE schools. But this year I should say, making 66+ classrooms has been only possible because of the complete dedication and devotion by the APC, Rachit and Ankur, and yes a wholehearted support by the headboard.

One of the highlights and a benchmark, which has been created by Sahil and Shivam, is the AEX in Moscow. Headboard in their board day light dream was well supported by all the table chairmen by walking on the path shown by the headboard. A special acknowledgment for Rajat, for organizing the AEX in Moscow.

Many first time events like Kidathon, Publicity at the Delhi airport, which is a permanent publicity for Round Table India, army tie-up, and yes, cherry on the cake was the corporate alliance done by Suresh.

I have actually lost the count of the number of corporates that has been associated with this year with Round Table India for giving funds and giving higher value to the members of their membership.

I again congratulate Shivam and Sahil for the wonderful year gone by. Sahil, I have seen you going from one meeting to another meeting, on the same evening, hopping on from places to places just to make sure that each and every one is motivated, each and every one is doing what is required to make us all proud.

Best wishes for Tarang & Vinay and their team. Both teams are surely going to make a huge dent on the universe. Looking forward to a rocking year. Thank you so much to all my friends in Area 5, Thank you so much for hosting me throughout the year in different events, in different activities.

Dear Friends of Area 5.

What an absolute great guys and area you have been during the whole past year.

I have had an honor to visit you during Jaffa 2019 and what a great event it was and the brotherhood with an amazing welcome showcased.

Area 5 have achieved so much during the year under the leadership of Chairman Sahil and his team is commendable.

From organizing LEAP to organizing Oktoberfest to superb Jaffa.

From Art Exhibition to Good touch project From Flights of fantasy to extension of tables within the area and Australia.

From fellowship to community service project of FTE were more than 65 classrooms were build or helped with.

I am immensely proud and happy to have witnessed some of the highlights in the area during my trip this year and I wish you only the best of everything for the years to come.

Keep doing the great job so that you are helping for Shaping The Future of many for years to come.

Well done Area 5 team and all the chairmen's of the clubs because as a team is what has been achieved.

MESSAGE FROM LC NATIONAL PRESIDENT (2018–19) CR. NAMRATA SHENOY

Dear Area Chairman Sahil, AST Shivam and all tablers of Area 5, Round Table India had an amazing year with seismic activities happening in all centers and area 5 has been equal contributors for the same The area has excelled in all facets of tabling and created a lot of benchmarks this year.

Congratulations on hosting the Jaffa in great style, On the many tie ups done with corporates ,the exemplary publicity done in the airport, planning the area reorganizing structure ,flight of fantasy ,good touch bad touch project for 50000 kids at the the many more such accolades.

New Table extension has been great too and thank you for supporting ladies circle with extensions in delhi and New centre Bhopal this year.

Projects have been your main focus and I'm amazed to see 64 classrooms have been constructed in this academic year which is a huge achievement touching lives of thousands of underprivileged kids.The feather in your cap is undoubtedly the tie ups done with the Indian Army.

It's wonderful to have participants coming forward and participating in National events with great enthusiasm so much so that we had 2 winners from the area for RT Idol and Big Boss.

I'd like to personally appreciate the table who Invited parents and grandparents for a fellowship and showcased our work. Its a great mark of respect for our elders and loved ones.

Congratulations to Area Chairman Sahil for a great year in office and ever grateful to him for his support towards area 5 ladies Circle. AST shivam ,you have always been a passionate and dedicated tabler and I've witnessed it last year while working on extension of Agra Circle & you were one of the recipient of the Extension Star pin too.

Congratulations on your wonderful tenure too as AST and for brining in innovative things broadcasting meetings and AEX live.

Hearty congratulations to area 5 for a wonderful year gone by and wishing many more accolades and milestones for the new teams .

Dearest AREA 5 Heartiest Congratulations!!

It's truly been a wonder year filled with new learnings and wonderful activities.

With the support of Round Table we have had two big extensions this year.

The first circle in Central India, of BRT 257, Bhopal and another one in Delhi of DRT 5.

Projects have been the main focus this year. Nearly 90 classrooms have been constructed. This is a huge achievement, touching lives of thousands of underprivileged children.

Tables have come forward to support LC for combined Area Projects and helped us raise funds which proves that together we can make things happen.

It was the vision of Chairman Tr. Sahil Jindal and their team who have put in their best to take Area 5 to a new high.

It was indeed a privilege and honour to lead as a Area Chairperson of Area 5.

Each one of you have inspired me in ways more than words and deeds.

My gratitude to the entire team of Area 5, Tablers, Circlers and National board for their guidance and I would like to thank my family, my friends and all the circlers for becoming my strength throughout this "Journey Of Dreams" I wish everyone success and wonderful life ahead..Keep smiling..Enjoy every moment..You don't know when an opportunity knocks your door.

Appointment of the Sergeant-at-Arms Tr. Mahesh Mahajan appointed Tr. Ritesh Bansal (DMRT 43) and Tr. Pankaj Agarwal (NRT 285) and Sq Lg Dheeraj Dev as Sergeants- at- Arms for the 39th Area 5 AGM, Round Table India.

He tied the Sergeants- at- Arms arm band to the sergeants, and requested them to establish ground rules, if any. They laid basic ground rules and appointed Marshals Tr Sumit Khurana and Tr Rachit Bansal to collect the ? nes.

Adoption of Minutes of the 38th AGM, Area 5, Round Table India AST Tr. Vinay Agarwal, presented the minutes of the 38th Area AGM, Area 5, Round Table India, held on 17th & 18th of August, 2017 at Radisson Hotel, Agra for adoption, the same were proposed by IURT 242 and seconded by DMRT 43.

AST, Tr. Vinay Agarwal presented the Annual Report in form of a presentation covering all facets of tabling and activities done by all the tables of Area V, throughout the year, ending 30th June 2018, and proposed it for adoption.

AST Tr. Vinay Agarwal was given a standing ovation for his timely and meticulous e? orts throughout the year, culminating in the Annual Report. Area Chairman Tr. Mahesh Mahajan congratulated AST Vinay Agarwal for such an exhaustive & comprehensive Annual Report. Proposed By RT157 and Seconded by RT188

He proposed the same for approval.

Calling the meeting to order Area Chairman Tr. Mahesh Mahajan reconvened the 39th Area AGM for session 2, by raising a toast to President Republic of India.

He welcomed, National Observer Tr. Kunal Kavi and all other guests and specially those who were not present at the Session 1 of the AGM. Area Chairman Tr. Mahesh Mahajan appointed the same sergeants as Day 1 for the day 2 of the Area Annual General Meeting.

Mahesh Mahajan announced the nominations for the post of Area Vice Chairmen & Area Secretary Treasurer, there are 2 nomination each for the post of Area Vice Chairman and for AST was received.

Proposed Motion It is hereby proposed that the current Area 5 comprising of Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Dehradun, Agra, Indore, Bhopal, Chandigarh and Ludhiana shall reorganize into the following 3 Areas at the Area AGM 2019. In case minimum 9 tables are not achieved in a given Area that is proposed, then the ? nal deadline for the proposed reorganization would be 2020 Area AGM. Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Agra, Dehradun (20 Tables) 2nd Area Chandigarh, Ludhiana , – 6 Tables Plus target to is to make 3 tables in Punjab (Target cities Karnal, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala)

3rd Area Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur – 7 Tables Plus target to is to make 2 tables in Central India (Target cities Gwalior, Rewa, Bhopal, Ujjain)

Area Chairman elect Tr. Sahil Jindal presented the budget, for the year 2018-19. There was no increase in D Form dues proposed for the year 2018-19.

Area Chairman Elect, Tr. Sahil Jindal, requested the AC elect LMF Tr. Sahil Jindal for Area V to pass the resolution towards appointment of Auditors for the year 2018-19.

Resolution for appointment of auditor: “It is hereby resolved that Alok Mittal & Company be appointed as auditors for Round Table India, Area V for the year 2018-19 on an honorarium of a maximum of Rs. 10,000/- per annum.”

The resolution to appoint Auditors the year 2018-19 was proposed by AC Elect, LMF Tr. Sahil Jindal and seconded by NDRT24 and GRT308

Area Chairman Elect, Tr. Sahil Jindal, proposed that Resolution authorizing the area executives to operate the existing Area V bank account at New Vaish Cooperative Bank, New Delhi: “It is hereby resolved that the bank account of ‘Round Table India, Area V’ be continued at New Vaish Cooperative Bank, New Delhi.

“It is hereby also resolved that the bank account of Round Table India, Area V will be operated by the signature of Area Secretary-Treasurer and any one of the following o? ce bearers of Round Table India, Area V for the year 2018-19 via: Area Chairman & Area Vice Chairman.”

Next is always committed and updated gems of our team our Registration Conveners responsible for ease and convenience of all our fellows of Area 5 3. Area HT Lalit dhingra , His very creative wife ,who took care of sensational pol khol high tea with utmost perfection sweet & kind Manika dhingra 4. Tr Nitin singla, to whom job once said should be considered done and his wife Shaina singla, I heard the laughter gigs of victorian high tea ,thank you Shaina 5. Yesterday night rock concert was all decorated by our resourceful informal night conveners Tr. Deepak gupta and his con? dent and shining wife Shipra gupta 6.The colours to the night were added by our alwaz colourful and full of life couple Tr. Aditya newer and Priyanka Newer And our dear friend Tr.Yogesh chopra WHO HAVE BEEN ENTHUSIASTICALLY involved in designing the informal night nd themes.

Area Chairman Mahesh, you have proved to be a leader par excellence. Your clear vision, backed by de? nite plans and some phenomenal teamwork has resulted in a tremendously successful year for Area 5. Many congratulations to you and your counterpart Cr. Bhavna Jaswani for a splendid year in o? ce and an impeccable AGM. In the recent past, Area 5 has been one of the most fertile breeding grounds for leaders in Round Table India or should I say stalwarts of Round Table India like my close friend Chirag, whom I also consider as one of the best outcome of Tabling in my life, my Guruji PA Sir, Doc Ritesh Bansal, Ashish Gupta, Tarun Bansal, Tarang Krishna, Sahil Jindal, DK Singh, just to name a few. I have been very fortunate to have fostered some amazing friendship in Area 5 which will transcend beyond Tabling till my last breath.

MOTIONS FOR THE 40TH AGM, RTI AREA 5 2018-2019 Motion 1 Article II:- Membership Section 3:- Revocation Of Membership- RT145 Motion :- Affecting the constitution , requires 2/3 Majority.

Proposed by the AEX. The Aex Proposes the following Motion :“It is hearby proposed that Delhi Cosmopolitan Round Table 145 be dechartered from the membership of Round Table India.”

Explanation – DCRT 145 has decided to decharter the table, the same has been passed in their table Business Meet which was conducted after a clear notice of 60 days as per the rules. They have cleared their C & D forms last year and ensured that no other dues remain with Area and National board. Balances in their project and admin accounts remain at zero. The table has been inactive for many years and numerous efforts have been made to revive the activity in the table but no optimistic response is coming from the members of the Table. Further more that had made it clear last year itself that they will not be paying any C and D forms for the year 18-19 and onwards.

Please find extract from their continuous meeting no 260 "In continuation to the last meeting the board along with all its members have decided for the dissolution of DCRT145. We were hoping to find new members to carry our legacy forward. However, we were unable to do so. In the mean time we had given a two months full notice to the area and national along with all our members for the dissolution. Since there were no funds in the table account (we have a deficit balance) the area observer Sahil Jindal confirmed of all compliances of DCRT145. In accordance with the above the last 4 official members/ board of the table resign together from the table and consider the table dissolved. CC to NANDINI at RTI and AREA 5 board. "

MOTIONS FOR THE 40TH AGM, RTI AREA 5 2018-2019 Motion 2 Motion - Does not affect constitution, Simple majority is required.

Proposed by Ludhiana Invincible Round Table 202 – Area 5.

It is hereby proposed to extend by further two years (2022), the proposed second re-organisation of Area 5.The proposed second re-organization will take place at the Area 5 Area AGM of 2022 as follows: 1st Area (comprising of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra– 16 tables) & 2nd Area (comprising of Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Gurgaon and Faridabad, now also comprising of Karnal – 11 tables) Plus target is to make 3 tables in Punjab/Haryana/J&K/Himachal which will form the part of 2nd Area.

Target Cities are Jammu, Ambala, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Shimla & Patiala.

In the event of proposed 2nd Area is able to make three new tables as listed; Gurgaon, Faridabad and Dehradun can remain in the 1st Area along with Delhi. In this case a revised motion for reorganisation along with list of fresh tables will be tabled at the Area AGM of 2022.

Explanation:The Following motion was passed at NAGM 2018 Jaipur.

MOTION NO 9 Reorganization of Area 5 Proposed by: Area 5 Motion not effecting the constitution Simple majority required.

It is hereby proposed that the current Area 5 comprising of Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Dehradun, Agra, Indore, Bhopal, Chandigarh and Ludhiana shall reorganize into the following 3 Areas at the Area AGM 2020.

1st Area : Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad (15 Tables) 2nd Area : Chandigarh, Ludhiana , Dehradun, Gurgaon, Faridabad- 10 Tables Plus target to is to make 3 tables in Punjab Target cities Karnal, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala) 3rd Area : Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Agra-9 Tables Plus target to is to make 2 tables in Central India (Target cities Gwalior, Rewa, Bhopal, Ujjain) It is further stated that in the event that 2 new tables listed are formed stand alone in Punjab & 2 new

In this case, a revised motion for reorganisation along with fresh tables will be tabled at the next years Area AGM. Reason 1: As per the Rules of RTI Handbook (Page 84), Section D - Area Reorganisation Rules, Point no: III, “No new Area shall be formed unless it has a minimum membership of 9 Tables and has a minimum membership of 135 active Tablers.”

Currently membership of proposed 2nd Area has less than 135 active tablers as on 1st July 2019. So passing a motion is against the constitution of RTI. Reason 2: Reorganization is beneficial for the movement and both concerned area's, there is no doubt about that. However, this movement is run by passion, without passion this movement has no meaning. And right now as Area 5 and 17 struggle to cope emotionally from the re-organisation, doing it again will risk a low-spirited atmosphere in Area 5.

Reason 3: Current situation of the proposed 2nd area is risky as many tables have strength below 10 st as on 1 July 2019 and a reorganization at this stage is not ideal.

So the proposal is to strengthen the internal strength of the tables and do further external extension with Target Cities for opening new tabling centres in the 2nd area are Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Ambala and Jammu & Shimla. Hence, the extension of 2 years for re-organization is asked for.

Reason 4: As per the RTI Handbook, (Page 85), Section D - Area Reorganization Rules, Point no: VI. “The distance between Tables and the time taken for travel should be a matter for careful consideration by the NEX with the objective of minimizing travel.”

4 tables from the proposed 2nd Area i.e Dehradun, Gurgaon (2 tables) & Faridabad are adversely effected as they have close proximity to Delhi rather than Chandigarh or Ludhiana. Infact most tablers in Gurgaon Tables also live in Delhi making it almost impossible for them to cope up with the proposed split. It is fair to give them 2 years window so that the proposed second area can stand on st its own feet and let the above said 4 tables be free to be a part of the proposed 1 Area (Comprising of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, & Agra).

It is notable here that Area have successfully reorganized the proposed area comprising Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Jhansi and Gwalior 1 year in advance. However, for the above mentioned reasons, the delay of 2 years is inevitable for the second reorganization of Area 5.

MOTIONS FOR THE 40TH AGM, RTI AREA 5 2018-2019 Motion 3 Motion Increase of D from by 400/- per tabler Proposed by DRT 5 Effecting constitution requires two third majority Motion Current D From of Area 5 stands at Rs 2000/- per tabler. DRT 5 proposes to increase it by another 400/- per tabler, in this case the new D-form from year 2019-20 will be 2400/- per tabler.

Explanation Its been more than 5 years since the D Form of Area 5 was last increased, there is a need to increase the D Form this year by a small amount of Rs 400/- per year for the following reasons1) Reorganization- As we all know Area 5 has reorganize this year and thereby decreasing the number of active tablers by 160, and number of tables by 9. This has made a direct impact of Rs 491000/- in the D from collection whereas the proposed increase will cover it by Rs 1,30,400/- the remaining deficit of 3,60,600/- is alright because of the fact that expenses will also go down after reorganization.

2) Average table strength- The average table strength of Area 5 has seen a severe decline this year thereby impacting the total D from collection.

3) Inflation- Although there has been no change in D From but the standard of events and expenses thereof have been increasing year on year in Area5. As we take pride in hosting some of the best events in Area 5 we must mindful that such events involve financial implications as well.

Keeping in mind the above facts it is logical to make the said change.
