TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS BUSINESS LICENSING (EXTENSION OF TIME)(NO.2) REGULATIONS 2014 (Legal Notice 36 of 2014) MADE by the Acting Governor under section 24 of the Business Licensing Ordinance.

Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Business Licensing (Extension of Time)(No.2) Regulations 2014 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 28 August 2014.

Extension of time to pay annual renewal fee 2. (1) Notwithstanding paragraph 2(3) of Schedule 2 to the Business Licensing Regulations, no penalty shall be incurred under that paragraph in respect of the renewal of licence for the year 2014/2015 if the annual renewal fee is paid in full on or before 30 September 2014.

(2) If the annual renewal fee has not been paid at all or in full by 30 September 2014, the fee, or as the case may be, that part of the fee remaining unpaid, shall be increased by 10% for each month or part thereof during which the fee remains unpaid.

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This Note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations extend the time to 30 September 2014 for businesses to pay the annual license fee for the renewal of licence for the year 2014/2015 without the 10% penalty for late renewal of licence.
