CUSTOMS (CHARGE ON INSURANCE AND FREIGHT) (VARIATION OF RATE) ORDER 2014 (Legal Notice 30 of 2014) MADE by the Minister under section 5(1) of the Customs (Charge on Insurance and Freight) Ordinance.

Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Customs (Charge on Insurance and Freight) (Variation of Rate) Order 2014 and comes into operation on 1 August 2014.

Variation of rate 2. The rate of charge on insurance and freight is varied in section 3(1) of the Customs (Charge on Insurance and Freight ) Ordinance, by deleting the words “15 percent” and substituting “7.5 percent”. _______________ MADE this 9th day of July 2014.

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This Note is not part of the Order) This Order provides for reduction in the rate of charge on insurance and freight from 15% to 7.5% effective 1 August 2014.
