Annual Report 2025

CEO MESSAGE

Dear Roseville Area Chamber Members,

It is an honor to step into the role of President and CEO of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce. Our region is at a defining moment. Roseville and Placer County are emerging as a center for advanced manufacturing, technology investment, and innovation in California, and the Chamber has a critical role to play in ensuring local businesses and workers are positioned to benefit from that growth.

I came into this role already engaged. In recent weeks, I attended the State of the City 2025, SPLASH 2025, the Chamber Installation Dinner, and the Torch Forum. Each reinforced what I already knew: our business community is connected, civically active, and deeply invested in shaping what comes next. That kind of partnership is not common, and it is something worth building on.

I also serve as Secretary/Treasurer on the Placer Workforce Development Foundation board, where we work directly with employers to identify workforce needs and build career pathways that meet them. Through initiatives like VR-based career exploration, we are helping students and job seekers gain real exposure to high-growth industries including manufacturing, healthcare, IT, construction, and hospitality, while improving access to opportunity across the region. As investment continues to accelerate here, workforce readiness is among our most urgent priorities.

My goal as CEO is to ensure the Chamber remains a trusted resource and strong convener for businesses of all sizes, from small businesses and emerging entrepreneurs to the region's largest employers. That means creating meaningful opportunities for connection, advocating for local business at every level, and ensuring our members have the relationships and tools to navigate both challenges and opportunities ahead. The strength of this region is in its partnerships. I look forward to listening, collaborating, and getting to work.

Warm Regards,

Chamber

PLACER WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION

The Placer Workforce Development Foundation (PWDF) serves as a strategic connector between business, education, and the broader community. Its mission is to align regional workforce needs with real career opportunities across Placer County by helping employers access the talent they need and connecting individuals to clear, attainable pathways into meaningful careers.

PWDF uses the Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) framework developed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as its employer-led approach to workforce development Through industry collaboratives in healthcare, construction, hospitality, information technology, and manufacturing, PWDF brings employers together with educators, training providers, and community partners to identify workforce needs and build practical solutions.

This structure gives employers a direct voice in defining skill gaps, aligning curriculum with labor market demand, and creating pathways that better prepare students, job seekers, and workers for in-demand careers.

Through this model, the Foundation helped advance two 2025 Los Rios Community College District grants focused on Information Technology and Manufacturing. These initiatives strengthened employer-college alignment, expanded access to industry-informed training, and connected students to local career opportunities

PWDF also continues to support active grant efforts that strengthen regional workforce development. These include the RAMPS cybersecurity grant with Sierra College, the We Prosper Together initiative with Valley Vision to explore a digital tool connecting veterans to manufacturing careers, and Career Exploration work in partnership with Los Rios Community Colleges that connects students with local employers and career opportunities.

Beyond program design and employer engagement, PWDF is focused on expanding access to opportunity. This includes supporting individuals who may face barriers to employment, including veterans, young people entering the workforce, individuals with disabilities, and those re-entering the job market By working alongside community organizations and education partners, the Foundation helps connect these populations with training, resources, career exposure, and employment pathways that can lead to long-term success.

Through its data-driven, employer-led, and community-connected approach, PWDF is helping build a more responsive and resilient workforce system for Placer County. Its work supports business growth, strengthens education-to-employment pipelines, and advances inclusive economic opportunity across the region.
