12. Please use this space to make recommendations that you think would improve the working group experience: Text Response We feel like CVA and OPIRG have a great relationship, and so the experience this year has been outstanding. One minor suggestion, which might be out of your control, could be trying to streamline the room booking process. Sometimes there can be a bit of confusion during this process (eg. several working groups bookings will be on one slip, dates are incorrect, etc.). Perhaps could be more efficient, and be less confusion, if specific working group names were included on the booking slips (eg. OPIRG -‐ CVA, or OPIRG -‐ MI Water, etc.) -‐ this way, if there was a problem or mix up, we would know right away. More information/skill sharing on how to attract volunteers and participants from outside the McMaster Community (i.e. where to post events, good places to put posters, etc.) All these supports are very useful. We've ranked them only in terms of our specific group. The training sessions are excellent idea -‐ is it expected that groups attend them every year, or just once? We have attended them before (which is why they are ranked 8 and 9 for our group -‐ otherwise they are far more valuable) . The money is very helpful because volunteers often end up paying for things out of their own pockets, which limits volunteers to those who have extra pocket money. Thanks!! Perhaps some one-‐on-‐one time with a member or two or the board so that we can make sure that we are on the right track, and see if they have any advice. I really can't think of anything, keep doing what you're doing! This term was about planning and making connections with different stakeholders in the community. We now have a more defined plan with specific goals. We hope to hone our building skills over the summer by holding workshops and completing projects. I'm really not sure! OPIRG is great! -‐ holly I feel that in the network meetings we should take some time to share ideas about how groups promote their work. One of the biggest obstacles of having a working group is getting the word out about events and if we were able to share promotion ideas and even network between groups so that other working groups can promote our events, it would be very helpful! 13. Thank you for taking this survey! The OPIRG McMaster Board of Directors and Staff appreciate your contribution to the work of OPIRG! If you have any other comments, please add them here! Text Response CVA loves being a part of the OPIRG family! Thank you for your continued support over the years and into the future! We're really looking forward to the summer and the next academic year! I am unsure how many people will be coming to the April 28th climb because many will be leaving (either out of town or out of country). Please take my answer to question 2 as 0 if you are trying to make a reservation for the tower, and we will email you if that changes. As always, proud to be an OPIRG working group. Thanks for being there OPIRG :) And thank you so much for the grant!!! It helped us out big time with buying our tools and we hope to share them lots during a fun summer of bike riding and fixin! -‐ Holly OPIRG has been amazing at providing guidance and resources for our working group to reach its potential. We have been very happy to have this support and we would not have been able to complete our projects this year without OPIRG's advice. Statistic Total Responses
