Your WINNING Lineup

When it comes to diverting waste, we knock it out of the park. At Texas Disposal Systems, we are proud to team up with the Round Rock Express at Dell Diamond to make it one of the greenest ballparks in Texas. One major way we make it happen is our Eco Stations, which you can see all around the park. After you dispose of your waste, we’ll take those discarded items and turn them into things like compost and mulch to be used in your community. Together with the Round Rock Express, we create a winning lineup!

Your used electronics had a good run. Now it's time to play clean-up. As we celebrate the 21st year as a proud sponsor and technology partner of the Round Rock Express, we’re excited to once again be teaming up with Goodwill Central Texas to offer responsible technology recycling. Every donation not only keeps electronics out of landfills, it helps support local jobs and training programs. Find the recycling bin in the stadium's west parking lot. Let's make a greener planet real.

THE ROUND ROCK EXPRESS & DELL TECHNOLOGIES WORK TOGETHER TO GIVE BACK. An important element of the Dell Technologies-Round Rock Express partnership is identifying ways we can impact the local community together in positive ways. We’re proud to have financially supported the following organizations in the past year to help further their goals of serving in action.

Covering Home, presented by Ashley HomeStore, is a community volunteer initiative comprised of Round Rock Express ownership and staff. Built on an Express Core Value of "passionately participating in the community," we instill in our employees that the platform of baseball should be used as a vehicle for service. Covering Home was initially launched in early 2016 to offer ownership, staff, players and coaches opportunities to give back to the community at least twelve times a year. By choosing a new organization or cause with whom to partner each month, volunteers can participate in initiatives that are important to them. The Round Rock Express and Ashley HomeStore will work together to donate time and resources to local organizations that better the community we call home. For more information about Covering Home, please call 512-255-2255 or email info@rrexpress.com.

STRIKE OUT HUNGER Help us support the Round Rock Serving Center by bringing at least two canned goods in exchange for one complimentary general admission outfield lawn ticket to all Tuesday regular season home games. Donation bins will be located at the Home Plate Gate.

2021 COACHING STAFF KENNY HOLMBERG MANAGER The 2021 season marks Round Rock Express Manager Kenny Holmberg’s 13th year in the Texas Rangers organization. In 2020, he worked with Rangers prospects at the Alternate Training Site in Arlington, as well as the Fall Developmental League in Arizona. Round Rock will be the fourth different club for which Holmberg has managed in the Rangers farm system after serving at the helm of Short-Season Spokane in 2018, the Rookie-level Arizona League Rangers from 2013-2015 and the Rookielevel Dominican Summer League Rangers from 2010-2011. He has compiled a 207-172 (.546) record while leading his clubs to the postseason in four of his six managerial campaigns, including a Northwest League championship series appearance in 2018. He originally joined the Texas organization as a coach for the DSL Rangers in 2009 and also served as a coach for the club’s High-A affiliate in Myrtle Beach in 2012. In addition to his managerial post for the Express, Holmberg also serves as the Rangers’ Major League Infield Coordinator. An infielder in his playing days, Holmberg was selected by Milwaukee in the 22nd round of the 2005 MLB draft and played four seasons in the Brewers organization. He compiled a .272 average with 34 home runs and 187 RBI over 338 career minor league games. Holmberg was also selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 49th round of the 2001 MLB draft out of Dunedin High School in Florida but opted to play collegiately at St. Petersburg College from 2002-2003. He then spent two seasons at EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University, earning first-team NAIA All-America honors in 2005. Holmberg and his wife Jenni reside in Smithville, Missouri, with their two sons, William and Cooper. His father Dennis has spent over 40 years in player development with the Blue Jays organization and was inducted into the Florida State League Hall of Fame in 2018.

CHASE LAMBIN HITTING COACH Round Rock Express Hitting Coach Chase Lambin’s seventh season in the Texas Rangers organization also marks his Triple-A coaching debut. He spent 2020 as a member of the Rangers’ Fall Developmental League coaching staff after previously serving as a hitting coach for High-A Down East in 2019, Class-A Hickory in 2018, Short-Season Spokane in 2017 and the Rookie-level Arizona League Rangers in 2016. He first joined the Texas organization as a member of the Spokane coaching staff in 2015. Lambin’s coaching tenure follows a playing career that spanned 13 seasons at the minor league level. He concluded his time on the field in 2014 with Sugar Land of the independent Atlantic League, playing in 106 games with the Skeeters. Lambin was selected by the New York Mets in the 34th round of the 2002 MLB draft out of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and played in the Mets (2002-2006), Florida/Miami Marlins (2007-2008, 2012), Washington Nationals (2010), Minnesota Twins (2011) and Kansas City Royals (2013) organizations. He also spent the 2009 season with Chiba Lotte in Japan. The versatile defender appeared at every position except catcher over the course of his career. Lambin and his wife Sara reside in Georgetown, Texas and have two children, Chase and Stella.

During his time with the Los Angeles organization, he worked with multiple pitchers that contributed to the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series champion club. The right-hander played 13 seasons of affiliated baseball, including six campaigns at the Major League level with the Chicago White Sox from 1995-2000. BUILDING THE FUTURE Round Rock Sends Six Players to Arlington During Season’s First Month Just two days after Round Rock Express outfielder Jason Martin was named the Texas Rangers Minor League Player of the Week by the club’s Player Development department, the 25-yearold found himself in the batter’s box at Angels Stadium in the midst of a wild Texas comeback against Los Angeles. Martin became one of six Express players to earn a promotion to Arlington during the season’s first month of the season after hitting .302 (16-53) with three doubles, seven home runs and 16 RBI across 15 games in a Round Rock uniform. At the time of his promotion on May 26, Martin ranked among Triple-A West League leaders in six different offensive categories, including home runs, RBI, runs scored, SLG, OPS and total bases. The wave of call-ups to begin the 2021 season christened Round Rock’s new affiliation with Texas, highlighting the club’s role of developing and cultivating talent to ultimately benefit the Rangers. The first E-Train player to earn a promotion to The Show during Round Rock’s new 10-year affiliation agreement with Texas occurred on May 14, only nine days into the season

as left-handed pitcher Wes Benjamin earned the call after a dominant Opening Day start at Dell Diamond. The southpaw has posted three different stints with Texas so far in 2021, assisting the Rangers in a variety of roles, from acting as a spot starter to pitching in high-leverage situations out of the bullpen to serving on the team’s Taxi Squad. Less than 24 hours after Benjamin received the call, fellow Round Rock hurler Hunter Wood was on his way to Houston to join the Rangers during the team’s roadtrip against the Astros. With the E-Train, Wood appeared in two games, posting no record with a 3.38 ERA. His success continued to Texas, where he allowed just two runs on two hits in 5.0 strong innings across five appearances through the end of May. Right-handed pitcher Demarcus Evans became the third member of the Round Rock pitching staff to make it back to the Major Leagues, earning a call-up on May 25. Evans appeared in five games for the E-Train, all in relief, posting a 1-0 record to go along with a 2.35 ERA and a miniscule .172

opponent batting average. The righty departed for Arlington leading all Round Rock relievers with 16 strikeouts on the season and riding a season-long 5.1-inning scoreless streak. After a brief but successful stint in the Sports Capital of Texas, Express outfielder Eli White returned to the Rangers on June 8. In 20 games prior to his promotion, the speedy outfielder hit a red-hot .343 (23-67) with two doubles, a triple, 11 RBI and 19 runs scored in 20 games as a member of the Express. After re-joining the Rangers, White clubbed his first two career home runs on June 16 against the Astros at Minute Maid Park, becoming just the second player in Texas franchise history to hit his first two career MLB home runs in the same game. Round Rock’s sixth promotion of the season came via a familiar face on June 9 as right-hander Spencer Patton, who also suited up for the Express from 20142015, earned a call-up after a blistering start to the 2021 season. Patton raced out to a 2-0 record with a perfect 0.00 ERA through his first 11 relief appearances with the Express this season. The Urbana, Illinois native allowed just six hits and

six walks while tallying 12 strikeouts in 12.0 shutout innings with the E-Train. He also converted all four save opportunities he faced in 2021, all while holding opponents to a paltry .154 average. His success in Round Rock carried over into Arlington, where through his first four relief outings, the righty has allowed just one base hit while striking out six in 4.0 scoreless innings. With the Texas Rangers continuing their rebuilding process, Round Rock’s role in player development has never been more important. As Round Rock enters the summer months with the best record in the Triple-A West League, opportunities are abound for Express players to make their mark on the Major Leagues. in 4.0 scoreless innings. With the Texas Rangers continuing their rebuilding process, Round Rock’s role in player development has never been more important. As Round Rock enters the summer months with the best record in the Triple-A West League, opportunities are abound for Express players to make their mark on the Major Leagues.

8 Over the years, the game of baseball has evolved and so have methods for scoring the game. Different fans have different ways of keeping a scorecard, and many use their own notations. Our simple method involves using the symbols below to record each play depending on the outcome. The different numeric positions listed to the right can be used to add further detail.

For example, if a batter flies out to center field, "F8" could be written in the box. If a batter grounds out to third, "G53" would show the third baseman throwing to the first baseman to record the out. Finally, if a shortstop makes an error, "E6" could be used to describe the play.

Hernandez and his teammates swept through the Opening Round, defeating Cuba 6-5, Venezuela 3-2 and Canada 5-0 to earn a spot in the tournament’s Super Round. Hernandez earned his first start of the tournament against Canada, driving in an early run with a single to kickstart the shutout victory. Team Venezuela kicks off the Final Qualifier on June 22 in a rematch against the Dominican Republic before a June 23 showdown against The Netherlands.

Want your chance to walk away from an Express game a little richer? Thanks to the passing of Proposition 5 in 2019, the Express, Nolan Ryan Foundation and Cook-Walden Funeral Homes & Cemeteries are joining forces to host a 50/50 Raffle every home game. A 50/50 Raffle means that half of the net proceeds from 50/50 ticket sales each night will go to one lucky fan while the other half will go back to the Nolan Ryan Foundation. Fans will be able to purchase raffle tickets from the time the gates open until the end of the sixth inning. The winner will be announced in the seventh inning. At the end of the season, the Nolan Ryan Foundation will make a donation to a variety of local nonprofit organizations in Central Texas through their recently-founded community grant program. Every night is a new chance to not only win, but help a great cause in the process. Tickets can be purchased at the 50/50 Raffle kiosk on the concourse behind home plate or from one of the roaming vendors throughout Dell Diamond. All raffle ticket purchases must be made with cash or a debit card. Credit cards will not be accepted, per state law.
