FROM THEfrom letter BOARD the board Dear Neighbor: We are excited for another summer full of fun! We hope you take some time this summer to enjoy all our outdoor programs, parks and facilities. Cool off this summer at Kemmerling Pool, take a quiet morning stroll along one of our many paths with your furry friend, or have a family picnic at one of our parks! We also have contracted new entertainment for our summer concert series. Grab a blanket or a chair and head on over to Turner/Kemmerling for a relaxing summer evening. We were awarded a $177k grant from Illinois Department of Natural Resources for the renovation of Odlum Park. Construction of the park will begin in early summer and will take approximately eight weeks. We will be adding some new features to our dog park, a new play area, family fun area, and a path that will allow for great summer evening walks. We will be updating our progress online as well as on our website. The Roselle Park District prides itself in creating affordable programming for all ages. As many of you know the minimum wage has been increasing and will continue to increase over the next few years. Approximately 78% of our staff is from Roselle and the surrounding communities. Although the increase is a strain on the overall budget it does allow for a greater reinvestment into the community. Therefore, you may begin to see some increases in program costs which is directly related to the increase in payroll for these programs. Staff is hard at work to find cost-cutting opportunities to help offset the new payroll requirements. We want to continue to offer programming at the level that our residents are accustomed too, but also are working through the budgetary constraints that we will be faced with over the next several years. Our staff and board continue to work hard on the 2018-2021 Strategic Plan and are always exploring new programs to offer. While you’re flipping through this brochure be on the look out for any new events or programs, in addition to your old favorites! Put on your prettiest dress and get ready for a wonderful girly good time. Spend some quality mother-daughter time while sipping tea, eating delicious snacks, and putting a craft together!
Touch-A-Truck puts kids in the driver’s seat, where they can toot a horn of a mighty truck! It is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your children sharing a fun-filled family day. Inspect the equipment and meet the men and women who operate the big rigs. Touch, honk, and climb aboard a variety of specialized vehicles and equipment that are on display. Kids can come and explore their favorite vehicles including semi-trucks, fire engines, police cars, and construction equipment. This is a FREE family event! All children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us for a spectacular vendor fair with local vendors who have a variety of goods and art – jewelry, paintings, ceramics, crafts, glass, photography, and more. Vendors will be situated around the path at Turner Pond for you to walk around and visit. You can also come to sit back, relax, and enjoy – bring blankets and find a spot to chill under the trees and take it all in. Families and young artists are welcomed to help bring some magic to the park by designing gnome houses and fairy doors to be placed under trees throughout the park for our youngest art afficionados to find. General Pass Information Payment must be made by cash, check, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. • Please note that children under 9 years must be accompanied by a paying responsible individual 16 years of age or older for Kemmerling Pool entry. • Parents or guardians must provide a copy of each child’s birth certificate.
If you have previously purchased a pool pass and the registration information is the same, you may now renew your Kemmerling Pool Pass online.
• Children 2 and under are free and do not need a Kemmerling Pool Pass. • Pool passes purchased under false pretenses will be revoked and no refund will be issued. • There is a $5 charge to replace a lost or stolen pool pass. Passholders should keep their passes from year to year. • A service fee of $15 per person (maximum of $30) will be issued for all pool pass refunds prior to opening day. No refunds will be issued after opening day. • Individuals who are 26 and older or any other relatives/individuals in the same household will not be included on the family pass without supervisor approval.

PRIVATE POOL RENTALS Private Pool Rentals are available after public swim hours and on limited weekend mornings. A volleyball net can be set up in main pool at no additional charge. Private rentals are available 7:15-9:15pm. FEE: $200/hour for Main Pool and an additional flat rate of $50 for the Dive Well. Additional staffing fees may apply.

SWIM LESSONS SPLASH INTO FUN!
Roselle Swim School at Kemmerling Pool Register now and receive first preference for swim lessons! Your child will gain confidence and swimming skills that will prepare them for swim team or simply keep you at ease when at the pool. This program focuses on a progression of water skills that increases your child’s confidence in the water as they continue in the program. Upon completion, each participant will receive a certificate of achievement. Note: Registration deadline is the Saturday before the session starts. Swim Lesson Testing Day - June 3, 4:30-6:30pm (ID# 190800-A) Not sure what level to register your child for? Pre-register to be tested and placed in the correct swim level. Our staff will be on hand to check the skills and get them in the right level.

This level focuses on increasing each child’s comfort level in the water, to ease fear of swimming as well as the fundamentals of direction and what it is like to be under water. Instructors incorporate games and songs to make children feel comfortable.

The camp schedule includes fun weekly themes, arts and crafts, themed games, swimming on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at Kemmerling Pool, a weekly field trip on Tuesdays, as well as an adventure day to a local park on Thursdays. Children need to bring a non-refrigerated lunch, sunscreen and drink every day as well as a towel and swimwear on pool days. All campers will also receive a Roselle Park District Camp Roselle Summer Camp T-shirt. Camps will meet daily at the Clauss Recreation Center, with each camp meeting in a different room. Rising Stars: Theatre Camp (DR) Ages 6-15
Register for our 3-week full-day Theatre Camp which prepares students for a Musical Theatre Production experience. Theatre camp will cover all different aspects of musical theater including acting, singing, choreography, blocking, reading music, improvisation, audition preparation and more! Early Childhood Summer Camps (DC) Little Stars Ages 2.5-4
The little ones are too young to be at camp all day – drop off your child to Little Starts Camp which is perfect to prepare your child for Fall Preschool. Children can spend their mornings with our caring and compassionate early childhood staff who will keep their hands busy playing, their feet busy moving, and their minds busy learning. Children will play in the classrooms, run around in the gym, and have fun outside at the playground. They will have circle and story time, make art projects, color and paint, manipulate sensory objects, learn routines, and have opportunities to practice cooperating with others their age to learn about sharing, helping, and caring. Children ages 2.5-5 should be potty trained, and those ages 2 should be working on potty training. There is a bathroom in the classrooms, however, staff cannot help with diapers, cleaning, or changing. All campers should bring a backpack, a nut free snack, and a labeled water bottle every day. Campers enrolled until 1:00pm should also bring a nut free sack lunch. Register in advance – you can register one day at a time, a week at a time, or for the entire summer. This program will use a skill-based approach to develop all aspects of an individual’s tennis game. Innovative programs have been developed to accommodate a variety of ages, skill levels, and goals. Lake Park Head Tennis Coach Tim Martin will lead a staff of experienced coaches and players to improve athletes of all levels, ranging in skill from beginner to advanced level. Ground strokes, including the forehand and backhand, along with proper serving technique and volleying will be taught. Footwork, mental strategies, and match-play tactics will be emphasized. This class gives players an introduction to baseball. Players work on technique and enhancing form in this comprehensive skills clinic. Players learn various positions in the field through game player and basic in game strategy. Players should bring their own gloves, and be ready for a fun, fast paced learning environment.

Your child will learn the basics of baseball/softball in an instructional environment while still learning the competitive aspects of the game. Our 4-Year-Old T-Ball program will work in two parts. The first four weeks will be practices. Kids will learn the basics of throwing, fielding, hitting and overall baseball knowledge. The last two weeks will be “games” against each other. Kids will be split into teams and will receive a t-shirt and hat. Practices and games will be run by RPD Staff, but parental help is always welcome. Hurry in and grab your spot right away! Fall Youth Soccer League (SS) Ages 5-14
Emphasis in the Mid-Suburban Soccer League is placed on individual instruction, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Teams will be based on approximately 6 to 15 players per roster depending on age groups. Wait lists will be used until there are enough players and a volunteer head coach to form another team. Games are played on Saturdays against neighboring park districts. Competition will start September 12. Practices will be held during the week based on coach’s availability. Practices will start at least two weeks prior to game play dependent upon securing enough volunteer coaches. Parents will receive a call from their child’s coach once the team selection process is completed informing them of first practice location, date and time. Registering before the July 19 early-bird deadline does not necessarily guarantee a spot on a team due to minimum/maximum numbers established to form a team. The number of teams competing this fall out of the Roselle Park District is to be submitted to league officials early August for scheduling purposes. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Registration Deadline: August 21. Take advantage of our early-bird sign-up fee of $70 resident and $80 non-resident by registering before July 19. All registrations submitted from July 19 on will be charged an additional $10. Pee Wee Taekwon-Do is designed for children ages four and five years old. This fun program teaches basic Taekwon-Do skills and coordination, in addition to life skills, danger awareness, and character education. The children are taught how to listen, to follow instructions, discipline, and responsibility. The instructor is Barry Weisberg, who recently retired as a high school principal and has also taught at both the middle and high school levels. Special uniforms just for this program can be purchased on the first day through the instructor for $45.
Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland’s premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion, U.S. National Coach and President of the U.S. National Karate Federation.

PRE-KARATE In our Pre-Karate classes, young children develop flexibility, strength, and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities. YOUTH KARATE ISKC’s Youth karate classes will put children in touch with their bodies and offers a good mix of strength training, with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. THEATRE Rising Stars: Theatre Camp (DR) Ages 6-15
THEATRE SING, DANCE AND BE A STAR!
Register for our 3-week full-day Theatre Camp which prepares students for a Musical Theatre Production experience. Theatre camp will cover all different aspects of musical theater including acting, singing, choreography, blocking, reading music, improvisation, audition preparation and more! Plus enjoy all the excitement of traditional camp with weekly outings and friendships that last a lifetime. Campers will enjoy pool days every Wednesday and a field trip on the first two Fridays. CREATIVE MOVEMENT Creative Movement is a 45-minute class that allows dancers to explore their own expression while learning basic ballet steps and terminology. Dancers will learn concept that will prepare them for more focused classes in a fun interactive way. Class Attire: Dancers should come to class dressed in a leotard, tights, ballet shoes and hair pulled back. Tutus and dance skirts are permitted. DEBUT Pre-ballet, Intro to Tap, Jr. Jazz, and Hippity Hop introduce students to specific steps and terminology. These classes are a prelude to formal dance instruction geared to the ability and attention span of student’s age 5-6 years. Students will develop a foundation of technique in an exciting and encouraging environment. BALLET We highly recommend every dancer take a ballet class as it is the foundation for all other dance disciplines. This class is structured to incorporate technique, flexibility, body alignment, poise, and terminology. Ballet is the core of all dance techniques and will help dancers planning to pursue a higher level of dance in the future.
CONTEMPORARY This genre of dance appeals to the creative, artistic soul in dancers because of its expressiveness and freedom of individuality. Contemporary teaches important dance skills including fundamental principles of contraction/release, spiral and shift of weight. Students will focus on movement from the inside out, encouraging use of breath, energy, and connection. Classes will incorporate fun and expressive choreography.

HIP HOP Hip Hop is a fun, upbeat, and free-formed style of dance. This class is structured to teach dancers body isolations, and how to move their body in sharp percussive movements as well as smooth and softer movements. This is a high energy class in which dancers will learn to move with the music to a variety of different combinations.
Private & Semi-Private Dance Lessons (DR) Ages 6-18
These 30-minute lessons are designed for dancers who would like to get more individualized instruction on technique and additional help picking up choreography. These classes can also help dancers prepare for upcoming school dance team try-outs. The instructor of your choice will help to improve your dancer’s technique and better prepare the dancer for their class and/or performance. If your dancer has not previously taken dance they may be better suited for a lower level class to get the attention they need to succeed as a dancer. Kindergarten Readiness
Age 4 Years by 9/1/2020, and potty trained Curriculum provides further development of the educational concepts in literature, math, and science, as well as social, emotional, and physical growth. Activities provide a print rich environment that stimulates the development of language and literacy skills in meaningful context. There is a greater variety of experiences to promote interest in the community and the world outside the student’s own. There are more concentrated fine motor skills such as writing letters and numbers, cutting, gluing, painting, and using manipulatives. There are many opportunities for making choices, developing problem solving skills, becoming independent thinkers, and developing confidence. Children also have visitors and go on field trips to enrich their studies of various themes.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM 2020-2021 Preschool Program (DC) The 2020-2021 school year begins the week of September 6, and ends the week of May 9, and follows the District 12 school calendar for days off. Days cancelled for any reason are not made up at the end of the year due to program schedule and graduation ceremonies. All children enrolling in the Roselle Park District preschool must submit a copy of birth certificate at the time of registration, and a current health record by the first day of class. We offer two payment options for this program.

Pay in full for the program June 1 through June 30. Sign up for a payment plan in June which authorizes the Roselle Park District to debit the monthly payment from your credit card on the 1st of each month, September-April.
A $5 processing fee will also be charged per month. Any declined payments will be subject to a $30 administrative fee and must be paid by the last day of the month. Failure to complete your payment will result in your child’s removal from the program. Failure to enroll in a payment option in June may result in your child’s removal from the program. For all registrations prior to June (when tuition payments are collected,) a Registration Form, or online registration and the $100 non-refundable registration fee must be presented for enrollment to hold your child’s spot. The non-refundable registration fee holds your child’s spot, covers supply cost, and vision and hearing screening.

All preschool rooms have an individual bathroom for children to use. Children who are in Little Learners 3 Year Old Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness 4 Year Old Preschool are required to be independent in the bathroom. Teachers cannot assist with toileting, cleaning, or changing. Children who are in Soon 2B3 Preschool should have exposure and practice at home with the bathroom and should be working on their independency. They may wear diapers or pull-ups to class. In accident situations teachers do not do any cleaning or changing, however they will call for someone to come and change the child.

Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 Parents of preschool participants are encouraged to bring their child on these days to meet their teacher, play in the classroom, and get familiar to what will be their new surroundings. Please bring your child on the day (either Wednesday or Thursday) that he/she would normally be attending, at any time that would be during their normal class time. Parents are welcome to stay while their child plays in the room.
Soon 2B3 Bootcamp (DC) Ages 2-3 years
NEW
Is your child enrolled in Soon 2B3 for the 2020-2021 school year? Are you worried they might be scared, nervous, anxious, or cry when you leave them? We have created Soon 2B3 Bootcamp for our littles who might need a little more support during this transitional time. On the first day of bootcamp you and your child can explore the room together and play with toys, make a craft, and interact with the teachers. On the following days, you will drop off your child for a short period so they can become acquainted to the room and teachers without you. You are welcome to stay in the hallway and/or lobby while your tot is at Soon 2B3 Bootcamp, or you are welcome to leave and come back at pick-up time. Days two through four will ease the little ones into the routine as we extend the end-time by 15 minutes each day. Canvas Kids (DC)
Wednesdays | Ages 3-5 These little artists will be putting their paint brushes to use at their very own sip and paint days. Kids will get a juice box, canvas, paintbrush, and paints while they are led through how to paint beautiful pictures. Capture your child’s artistic skills in this creative art class! It’s all about art – keep their art, hang their art, or give it as a gift!
Registration begins June 1 Extend your child's preschool day to create a half day, or give them an extra day in a preschool classroom setting! These classes are designed to give your child additional enrichment daily outside of the typical preschool setting. They feature fun and academic themes and allow your child to be creative and engaged while learning. Classes run daily from 11:30am-1:00pm, and children in morning preschool programs are escorted from their classroom to the enrichment classroom, or children in afternoon preschool programs are escorted from the enrichment to their classroom (PM preschoolers leave enrichment 30 minutes early, and a prorated discount is honored at registration for time missed.) Pack a nut-free lunch and pick which days work best to extend your child’s preschool day! Enrichments do not meet the week of Thanksgiving, 11/23-11/27. Club Kids Program 2020-2021 Club Kids Registration (DC)
Registration for Club Kids begins on Monday, July 6. Initial payment to the program, must be completed in person at the Front Desk. After initial registration and payment, you will receive an email to complete and/or update an online health profile for your child via ePACT. Your child's profile on ePACT must be 100% complete prior to your child attending Club Kids.

School Age Child Care The Club Kids Before and After School program is a cooperative effort between the Roselle Park District, School District #12, School District #20, and School District #11, conducted at Spring Hills, Waterbury, and Medinah Primary Schools for the entire 2020-2021 school year. The Club Kids Program provides a fun, structured, and safe environment for kids before and after school. Club Kids is designed to help promote and engage children in a mix of fitness, socialization, and most of all, fun while being supervised by caring childcare staff during before and after school hours. The program includes a variety of group and individual activities including:

Complete the automatic debit plan paperwork which authorizes the Roselle Park District to debit the monthly payment from your credit card on the 15th of each month, September-April (there is no payment due in May). A $5 processing fee will be charged per month. At the time of registration, the first month’s payment (cost dependent on type of care) will be due. Any declined payments must be paid by the last day of the month. Failure to complete your payment will result in your child’s removal from the program. Note: After February 15, 2021, no payment plans will be accepted. All enrollments must be done via punch cards. Registration for all childcare programs must be completed 2 or more business days before the start of the program, and all necessary paperwork must be submitted through ePACT before the start of the program. Day-before and day-of registrations are no longer accepted.
Frequently Asked Questions? What is the best payment option for my childcare needs? Depending on your schedule and needs you choose between punch cards or a payment plan. Payment plans are offered for three, four, and five days a week. Payment plans are best for consistent care with a regular schedule when attendance to the program will be three or more days a week. The punch card options are better for a varying schedule that may be infrequent, or change based on needs. A combination of both the punch card and the payment plan can be used if your needs are different for before school child care and after school child care – i.e. Punches for before school care, and a specific payment plan for after school care

When can my child start once he/she is registered? Once your child is registered through the Park District and you have purchased punches or set up your payment plan, your child’s ePACT must be completed and/or updated, your child can start as soon as the next day. Who do I need to tell when my child is attending or if they will be absent? For AM care, you do not need to inform staff, you can drop-off at the program. For PM care, you should always inform school staff (school office and teacher,) if your child’s schedule is changing. Who runs the program at the school? The Club Kids program is staffed with Roselle Park District employees. All Club Kids staff received program and childcare training which includes First Aid and CPR. All programs are staffed at a 1:10 ratio. Where do I drop-off/pick-up my child? Drop-off and pick-up are different at each school.

FITNESS center Walking Track FREE
Roselle Fitness
The Roselle Park District offers a FREE indoor Walking Track. One mile is equivalent to 15¾ laps around the inner track and 14¾ laps around the outer track. On even number days patrons should walk/run clockwise around the track and counter clockwise on odd number days. The Roselle Park District is proud to offer this amenity at no cost to its users.

Users are required to sign in prior to utilizing the walking track. Any one who does not sign in will not be permitted.
Personal Training (JW) A personal trainer will design an exercise program tailored to your fitness goals, while taking your health concerns into consideration. The trainer will also give you valuable training advice as well as the motivation to stick to your program. All initial annual fitness members will receive a one-hour personal training or equipment orientation with a certified personal trainer. 1 Session, $35 • 5 Sessions, $175 • 10 Sessions, $300 Trainers: Liz, Pauline, and Tiffany Personal Training is available to non-fitness members for an additional charge of $10 per session. Please note that group training is also available. Additional information is available in the fitness center.
Massage (JW) Massage has many benefits including stress reduction, increased circulation, improved health, reduced muscle soreness, and more! During your chair massage appointment, a licensed and certified massage therapist will work on your back, arms, neck and/or shoulders to help you experience all of the benefits that massage has to offer. You will remain fully clothed during your appointment. Massages will be sold in 10-minute increments. FEES: R $1/minute • NR $1.50/minute Cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged.

I discovered group exercise classes after I had my son. I needed to get back to the gym but I was tired so I needed my workouts and exercise to be fun! I began taking group exercise classes and one thing led to another. I have been teaching group exercise since 2016 and I love it! I teach multiple group fitness formats, and it is my hope is that I am helping people get an effective and enjoyable workout!
I am a resident of Roselle and I have been a member of the Fitness Center since I first moved here. I have been involved in sports my whole life and currently play on a women's volleyball team and co-ed soccer team. I also coach volleyball, track, and basketball at Roselle Middle School and the Running Club at Spring Hills School where I teach second grade. Several years ago, I started attending Body Pump and was hooked from day one. I am excited to now have the opportunity to teach Get RIP, which is very similar. It is a great total body workout!
Ayumi I love working out when it doesn't feel like working out, which is probably why I fell in love with MixxedFit! I was introduced to MixxedFit sometime ago, and shortly after I decided to become certified to teach the class. My goal in becoming a Mixxedfit instructor is to share with others the philosophy that working out can be super fun!
Debbie I have always felt a lifelong love for fitness, but especially for dance! I been taking Zumba as a participant for many years and now I love teach it! Zumba does not only express my love for dance but it makes me excited to help others too! I love motivating and inspiring others, and the people who take my class motivate and inspire me as well! Every class is a dance party – Zumba is exercise in disguise!
Liseth I’ve always had a love for yoga, but like many women, I fell into the habit of giving my all to family and career without giving my mind and body the love and attention it deserved. Yoga was my way back to taking care of me both mentally and physically. It helps me balance my life, while making my body stronger and healthier, and relaxing my mind. I’m a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor, and I’m currently working on my 500-hour certification. I want to make yoga accessible to all because yoga is for every body and every age. Tiffany I have been a lifelong athlete that took a 10-year hiatus while nurturing three beautiful children, gaining and losing over 70 pounds. Understanding the obstacles in getting back to better health from ground zero is a large motivation as to why I changed careers to helping others who are in similar shoes I was in. With over 1,000 classes under my belt, AFAA Group Fitness Certification, my CPT from ACE, and many continuing education classes, I’m excited to help you achieve your fitness and health goals!
Pauline I have been employed at Roselle Park District since 1992. I am a Certified ACE Fitness - Group Fitness Specialist, and instruct a variety of different classes. I am also a Certified ACE Fitness Personal Trainer since 2001 where my specialties focus on balance, mobility and flexibility training, senior fitness training, strength and core, cardio endurance training, Pilates and Yoga. I enjoy working with the members of the Roselle community and love getting to know everyone and witness their fitness journey first-hand!
Teresa I have never considered myself an “athlete,” but have always loved to dance. When I discovered the world of dance-based group fitness classes, it was the perfect fit to keep me motivated. The Roselle Park District is excited to announce that registration is now being accepted for our 2020 Fall softball leagues. Fee for teams who are returning $650 Both regular season and playoff champions will receive prize money. Full payment is due one week prior to start of the season. In 12” and 14” returning teams will be placed into rec or competitive based on finish from of previous season with the top 2 rec teams moving up and the bottom 2 competitive teams moving down. Adult Taekwon-Do (SS) Ages 18+
Have you ever thought about learning a martial art, but never did? Would you like to learn a skill at the same time you exercise? Do you like to stretch, kick, punch, relieve stress, and feel good? Anyone can learn, it is never too late. You are only competing against yourself. The benefits of Taekwon-Do include character building, confidence, self-esteem, discipline, focus, perseverance, physical fitness, improved balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility. Participation can be anything you choose to make it because learning Taekwon-Do allow for people of all ages and physical abilities to participate.
Adult Intro to Golf (SS) Ages 16+
This six-class course will be taught by a PGA Golf Pro. Beginners and advanced students will learn the proper techniques in making a full swing as well as chipping and putting. Also, golfing etiquette will be discussed. Clubs will be available for use; however, students are encouraged to bring their own. Practice balls are not included in the fee. Sunday Morning Flag Football League (SS) Ages 18+
The Sunday Morning Flag Football League is an escape from your normal 9:00-5:00 pm ho-hum job! For a couple of hours a week you can pretend to be one of your sports heroes you watch on TV. A time where you can flash back to your more youthful days of throwing around the pigskin and working together as a team to accomplish the goal of being Sunday Morning Champions! Master Gardeners will be available at select locations to answer questions. Proceeds from this event will go towards scholarship and local charities. ALL ARE WELCOME! Hours: 10:00am-Sunset The Skate Park is unsupervised. Skate and bike at your own risk. • Skateboarding, In-Line Skating and BMX Bike-riding are high risk activities. Please use caution. • The Park District is NOT responsible for injuries.
The game is similar to traditional golf. Players use golf discs instead of balls and clubs, and throw them at above-ground targets. The object of the game is to throw a golf disc into the target in the fewest number of throws. The combination of challenges to players, include distance, accuracy, wind, trees, shrubbery, water and terrain changes. Lake Park Student Parking Permits (LM)
• Skaters are responsible for inspecting and reporting any damage and vandalism to the park district at (630) 894-4200.
Lake Park student parking permits for the 2020-2021 school year for the Clauss Recreation Center Lot will be available for purchase on July 1. Applications may be picked up at the front desk during front desk hours. Permit applications require a parent/ guardian signature and the driver’s initials on each listed rule and regulation.

Prohibited Acts Include but are not limited to: • Only bicycles, skateboards/scooters, or rollerblades are allowed in designated areas. • No Bikes Are Allowed On The Skate Area. • No Skates Are Allowed On The Bike Area. • Users should use pathways to enter/exit designated areas. • NO food, drinks, or glass on skate/bike operating surfaces. • NO Littering, breaking glass, and distributing/affixing fliers, stickers, etc. on park property. • Destruction and misuse of property or structures, including graffiti marking, damaging equipment, defacing signage, and using equipment contrary to designed/ intended use. • NO trespassing after sunset • Smoking or any use of a tobacco product is prohibited in all Park District buildings, facilities and vehicles

Permit applications require a parent/guardian signature, driver’s initials on each listed rule and regulation, and the student must produce driver’s license so a photocopy can be filed with application. Parking spaces are limited to 40 spaces in the back two rows of the parking lot. Vehicles parked without the corresponding permit on record, not parked in the designated parking area, or parked before or after set parking hours will be towed at owner’s expense. Parking permit may be revoked, denied, or not renewed for violations of District rules and regulations.

4 Paws Dog Park (DC)
Open every day from dawn until dusk Bring your dogs to get off leash, play, and socialize with other dogs. An annual Pooch Permit allows you and your canine companion to enjoy Roselle’s very own dog park! At the time of registration, participants will receive a copy of the rules, membership card, lanyard and security key to access the park. The membership card, key and lanyard must be with owner at all times. In order to register, individuals must bring a copy of each dog’s immunization records (Rabies - certificate from the county, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella) to the Park District. We want to provide those who have purchased the pass a fun and safe environment! Dog owners not complying will be subject to fines of up to $1,000. Periodic monitoring and surveillance will be conducted by the Village of Roselle Police. PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR SECURITY KEY WHEN USING THE DOG PARK! PERMIT VALID: Permits are valid from June 1 to May 31 of each respective year FEE: R $25 first dog ($5 each additional Dog); NR $40 first dog ($5 each additional dog) A new locking system has been installed at the park to ensure the safety and security of Pooch Permit holders and their canine companions. Registration fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and are not prorated. A liability waiver and current vaccinations are required to obtain a pooch permit. More information, including rules and the pooch permit applications can be found on our website at rparks.org.
Roselle Park District Patron Code of Conduct Roselle Park District is committed to providing a safe, clean and fun environment for all participants and guests. By doing so, patrons are required to act appropriately and be respectful of others at all times when using Park District parks and facilities. Persons using Roselle Park District facilities are expected to behave in a mature and responsible manner. The Roselle Park District Code of Conduct does not permit language or any action that may hurt or frighten another person or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct. Directions issued by Park District staff must be followed at all times. The following actions are prohibited at Roselle Park District facilities and parks: • • • • • • • • • •
Harassment or intimidation using words, gestures, body language or menacing behavior Physical contact with another individual or staff member in an angry, violent or threatening manner Any demonstration of sexual activity or sexual suggestiveness Carrying or concealing weapons or devices that may be used as a weapon Use or possession of illegal chemicals or alcohol on Park District property without proper permits Abuse of Park District equipment, supplies and property Theft of services Smoking and loitering inside or outside of Roselle Park District facilities/grounds Continuous poor sportsmanship or overaggressive competitiveness from players or spectators Any other unacceptable behavior including inappropriate dress
We encourage all patrons to be vigilant and report prohibitive acts by other persons. If a prohibitive act is witnessed please contact Park District staff and we will be happy to be of assistance when parties are found not following the code of conduct. Please inform staff members when rules are being broken so that proper actions may be taken. Any violation of these guidelines may result in: a verbal warning, a written warning, immediate removal from the facility, suspension from Park District property, suspension of membership for a designated period of time or revocation of membership. The Roselle Park District will investigate all reported incidents on a case-by-case basis.
The Roselle Police Department is authorized to arrest and/or ticket any persons found to be violating any ordinance or rule of the Roselle Park District, the Village of Roselle, or law of the State of Illinois. REGISTRATION Waivers In accordance with the Recreation Department policy, all program participants must sign a hold harmless agreement prior to participation in department sponsored programs. The waivers are on the bottom portion of program registration forms, designated sign-in sheets, and fitness membership applications. These must be signed by the adult participating in an adult program; and by the parent or legal guardian of participant under 18.
Include Payment & Sign Waiver/Release Please note that you need to include full payment and a signed waiver and release for your form to be processed. Credit card payments require an additional signature to authorize payment. For these reasons, we are unable to accept phone-in registrations.
Register Online It's Fast, Convenient, and Available 24/7 You can now register for programs from the comfort of your home using a credit card 24 hours a day/seven days a week, all through an encrypted and secure internet connection. To review our online registration, simply log onto the website at www.rparks.org and click ONLINE REGISTRATION. What information do I need to register online? • User Name and Password (Go to Online Enrollment tab) from the Registration drop down menu • Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) Upon payment of your completed online registration, you will be emailed confirmation. Online Registration Programs will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Some programs will not be available for online registration 24 hours to two business days prior to the program start date. If you do not have a username and password, we encourage you to go to the site and fill out the Online Registration Enrollment Form, you will then be emailed a user name and password.
In Case of an Error Complete details of program policies, procedures and guidelines are sometimes omitted from the program brochures because of space limitations. Also, errors in days, times, registration requirements and fees may occur as well. We apologize for any errors that may appear in the brochure. We thank you for your patience and understanding when these situations arise.
Program Room and Area Locations Sometimes Move Around! Program locations are subject to change. Roselle Park District staff reserves the right to make changes to room/area locations if deemed necessary for the participation and safety of all our registrants and programs. This type of flexibility is necessary to ensure that all planned program sessions can meet and activities can go as planned.
Register Early Nothing ruins a good program quicker than everyone waiting until the last minute to register for it. There is a point where if there aren’t enough registrants to hold the program, it is cancelled. Coming in the day of, or the day before the program won’t resurrect it. Please register at least a week early to avoid disappointment.
PHOTO POLICY: Photos and videos are periodically taken of participants in a class, during a special event or at the Roselle Park District’s parks and facilities. The photos and videos are for Roselle Park District use only and may be used in brochures, pamphlets, flyers, posters, banners, on our website, in social media or promotional videos.

REGISTRATION Residency Not all Roselle residents are Roselle Park District residents. Even though you may have a Roselle address, you may pay taxes to another park district. Therefore, proof of residency is required when registering for programs for the first time. This may be done with a driver’s license, utility bill, (or a mortgage statement for those who are recently moving to the area). Roselle Park District residents support the district through property tax contributions.
Wait List Process A wait list is formed when a class reaches participant levels beyond the maximum. The wait list is designed to maintain interested people in a holding area until more spaces in the program are available, someone drops out, transfers, or a new section is added by park district staff based on interest. The wait list is maintained based on the order we process registrations. Customers will be contacted for confirmation before being added to one of our wait lists (or transferred from a wait list into the desired program) by the front desk or specific program supervisor. Please Note: Before a participant is transferred into a program, all corresponding paperwork and payments are required.
Returned Check Policy We gladly accept personal checks as payment. If for any reason a check is returned to our office marked “NSF,” we will contact you. You will then be required to submit a full cash or money order payment, as well as a $30 bookkeeping fee, within a ten business day period. Class privileges will be suspended and new registration will not be accepted until payment is received.
What About Insurance? The Roselle Park District does not provide medical coverage for injuries suffered while participating in park district programs, or while using park facilities. The Park District, therefore, cannot assume responsibility for personal injury for persons participating in a recreation program or using facilities. Patrons are advised to make provisions for this coverage in their own personal insurance program.
What If I Have A Special Need? Participants who require special assistance during park district programs should note their needs on the registration form and call (630) 894-4200 to notify the park district. For additional services, please contact the Western Dupage Special Recreation Association at (630) 681-0962. Note: There is a box to check on our program registration form to alert our Front Desk Attendants and Recreation Supervisors that these services are desired for any given program.

Refund Policy The Roselle Park District endorses a customer satisfaction policy and strives to provide high quality programs, services, and facilities. However, sometimes expectation levels or situations occur that do not meet the satisfaction of our customers and a refund request is made. If for any reason you are requesting a refund, please contact the Park District at (630) 894-4200 or come by in person to submit a request. 1. All refund requests must be made at least two business days before the first class meeting or practice of program. 2. Trips and special events require reservations and planning weeks ahead of time and therefore do not allow us to accept refund requests unless there is a wait list and someone can fill the spot. 3. Individuals requesting refunds with two or more business days notice, prior to the first class meeting or practice will receive a full refund, less $5 for administrative costs. 4. No refunds will be issued for any program after second meeting of a program, unless a physician’s note is provided. Refund requested for medical reasons will be prorated from the time the request is received. 5. I waive and relinquish all claims I or my children may have against the Park District and its officers, agents, servants and employees as a result of participating in any of the above programs. I hereby fully release and discharge the Park District and its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, damage or loss which I or my child/ward may have or which may accrue to me or my child/ward on account of my participation of the participation of my child/ward in any of the above program(s). I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend the Park District and its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims resulting from injuries, damages and losses sustained by me or by my child/ward, and arising out, connected with, or in any way associated with the activities of any of the program(s). “I understand that unless specifically stated in writing at the time of registration, photographs of participants may be taken and used for promotional purposes. ”Registration will be accepted by mail or fax. You mail your form to the Roselle Park District or send by facsimile transmission to (630) 894-5610.
