OUR BRAND NEW HEADQUARTERS AND FACTORY

In just a few months, we’ll be making a big move! Starting this summer, we’ll be settling into a beautiful new building in Apeldoorn-Noord, preparing Royal Talens for a vibrant future. This move brings our factory closer to our distribution center, which is located in Apeldoorn-Noord for many years and is at its current site.

Ready for the future - The new Royal Talens factory and office have been designed with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency.

Fully electric

The building is fully electric and powered by 1,500 solar panels, supplying energy to both the factory and the charging stations for electric cars and bikes.

Heating and cooling system

Two wells, each 200 meters deep, provide heating in winter and cooling in summer by drawing energy from the ground.

Water management

Rainwater infiltration into the soil contributes to efficient water usage.

Green

surroundings

The site is landscaped with native trees and plants, requiring no irrigation or fertilizers for maintenance.

BREEAM Excellent Certification

Thanks to these sustainable choices, the building will receive a BREEAM Excellent certification, making Royal Talens the most sustainable paint factory in Europe.

Talens | Pantone Color Contest Campaign

This fall Royal Talens launches a new international campaign to spotlight our vibrant Talens | Pantone marker range. With a unique color-focused concept, we aim to inspire creatives to confidently turn their ideas into reality.

Campaign Concept

The campaign is divided into eight phases, each focusing on one specific color from the Talens | Pantone marker range. For every color, we’ll show a design sketch made with that shade alongside a fully finished hero visual, both created in a toneon-tone style. Each color will also set the creative theme for its corresponding month.

"What would you create with this color?”

Creatives are invited to submit a concept idea based on this question. Selected participants will receive the exact Talens | Pantone color they chose, to turn their idea into reality. From these realized creations, we will select eight winners who will each receive a Talens | Pantone gift pack and be featured in the final campaign round-up.

The campaign runs in two parts:

Part 1: September – December 2025

Part 2: February – April 2026

International Scope

This is a global campaign, centrally managed by Royal Talens. Local markets are welcome to share and promote the campaign on their own social channels, but no separate local activations are planned.

Celebrate 750 years the city of Amsterdam. Amsterdam with color & creativity. In honor of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, we are launching the Amsterdam Adds Color Art Challenge, a campaign designed to boost visibility for the Amsterdam All Acrylics brand and drive engagement both in-store and online.

The revolutionary new way to use color

PanPastel is making its biggest leap yet. This year, the brand is introducing 53 brand-new colors, bringing the total palette to over 140 shades. It’s the most significant update since PanPastel first launched—and it opens up even more creative possibilities for artists working with dry color. Alongside the new colors, seven new curated sets will also be released, making it easier than ever to explore the expanded range.

Why for introduction

The expansion comes in response to a clear message from the artist community. After GOLDEN acquired PanPastel in 2022, a request for new colors kept coming up. GOLDEN listened and delivered. The new shades fill important gaps in the existing palette, including foundational colors like primary yellow, primary magenta, crimson, teal, raw sienna, and burnt umber. To create smoother transitions between pure and tint versions, a wide range of light and mid-tone colors has also been added.

Redesigned packaging

The packaging has been thoughtfully updated alongside the color changes. Hanging sets now come in recyclable paperboard boxes, replacing the previous plastic packaging—an eco-friendly upgrade that also improves shelf appeal. Boxed sets in half-meter and meter displays now feature a vertical layout for better visibility and space efficiency. As a result, some sets may now include slightly different colors than before. The new packaging also features refreshed graphics that clearly show the contents and include inspiring application imagery.

The iconic Talens Wasco wax crayons are now available with new artwork and updated packaging. The 6 and 12 piece sets feature a hanging euroloch box with cardboard inlay to store the crayons. Vibrant colourful Wasco images decorate the packaging of all sets, including the 144 school pack.

Talens Wasco wax crayons are widely used by children, both at school and at home. Thanks to the water-based formula, these crayons are hard enough not to break easily in children's hands, yet soft enough to transfer vibrant colours effortlessly. The paper wrappers protect hands from stains. These vibrant crayons can be used on their own or in combination with various techniques, including gouache, watercolour, and the so-called "resist technique" with Ecoline. Add Talens Black Covering over a drawing made with Wasco crayons, and scratch the surface once the paint has dried to reveal the colours underneath! This popular technique is called the "graffito"

technique. Wasco crayons are suitable for use on paper, cardboard, wood, fabric, and stone. All Wasco colours meet European toy safety standards.
