In 2020 three RPS Regional Hub organisers of the Royal Photographic Society, Rhys Jones of South Wales, Stewart Wall of East Midlands and Central, and Rolf Kraehenbuehl of North Wales discussed a society wide project that asked contributers to visualise the peri-urban interface, often refered to as Frontiers. It was accepted for the project that the peri-urban is the land between the urban development and the start of the uncultivated countryside.
This book is the outcome of part of that project. It was facilitated by Stewart Wall and includes a collaboration of photographers from the East Midlands and Central Regional hubs, whose names are all listed in the book.
