The Friends are a lively group of Prep and Senior School parents and staff who arrange a wide range of social and fundraising events

Welcome from the Chair

Mel Vance, Chair of the Friends Committee, is a former Prep School parent with two daughters at the Senior School. Click here to hear Mel’s welcome.

The Friends organise popular and fun events throughout the year including dog shows, firework displays, Easter egg hunts, school discos (with a bar for parents and staff!), quiz nights, an annual Christmas Bazaar and biennial Grand Ball.

speakers covering a range of topics, ‘Your Daughter’ series of talks, a West End masterclass, theatre flood lights, C-Me careers profiling, Student leadership courses and more.

Each year, the Friends donate a number of Education Awards to girls in the Sixth Form, to support individual pursuits of extra-curricular projects or initiatives linked to the girls’ current studies or future career aspirations. The Friends are frequently impressed with the calibre of applications, ambition demonstrated by the girls, and the way in which they conduct themselves at interview. Choosing the final recipients

Friends Education Award

of the award is always difficult with many interesting and deserving applications from Hausa language and physics summer courses to research projects in Costa Rica.
