Our friendly and lively Sparks sessions give children the opportunity to be creative, invent stories and new characters and perform, all alongside making new friends and building their confidence. The sessions are run by local theatre practitioner Kim Laughton and each week children can take part in a wide range of theatre and drama games, using their imaginations and working towards a new performance at the end of each term.

Come along and join the fun with Rhyme Time as we clap, sing and wave our way through favourite nursery rhymes and songs. These fun sessions introduce rhymes and songs to your child to encourage interaction and develop communication skills.

These weekly sessions use a range of props, bubbles and fun ideas to keep you and your family entertained and on the go.

Bursaries

With thanks to revenue generated through Friends & Patron memberships, and donations from customers and Business Supporters, we are able to offer our Core Create and Sparks sessions at a reduced fee of £50 (usually £80). We also offer a sibling discount, so if you have two siblings taking part in activities, the termly fee for the second child/young person would only be £25. For families living with financial hardship, we would not want the termly fees to prevent your child or young person being able to take part, so, we have a limited amount of free, bursary-funded places. Special thanks to The Constance Travis Charitable Foundation for supporting our bursary scheme at The Core. Please email getinvolved@ thecorecorby.com for further information.
