FORUM 1 A lot of people do not understand why Interior Design take more than 3.5years to complete degree. It is a long journey for us, who taking diploma and degree for total 5 years. Most of the people might think that Interior design is just design a space with painting, sofa, lighting...etc in my opinion, decoration and designing a space having big differences as interior designer play a role to design the movement for the users, not only finishing the floor, wall and ceiling. Material chosen for specific users or specific space is one of the professional skill that Interior Designer can be provide to client as we studied UBBL by laws.

To be a registered Interior Designer is not easy for everyone. The journey takes fews years to take working experience and exam. The qualities control of IDr. is to ensure that, every registered Interior Designer, and company provide good design, while safety issue is considered too.

FORUM 2 The core ideas of UNSDGs are relatively important like to close up the poverty gap between human and achieve average prosperity while making sure gender equality is meet up. Not only relying upon men but the women having the same ability to live a better living. Majority of the man workers on site in construction field, proposing that the issue of gender equal is important to female designers, architects and even engineers. It is important to have sufficient respect within the person in charge, without minding about gender. Next, we know that interior design and architecture fields are normal to have overloaded jobs. Its actually impact our body health and human right which have been voice out in UNSDG principle 1 (No poverty) and 3(good health and well being). This phenomena is even serious in Asian countries. Protecting every employee to avoid over stressful life , is a way to ensure good quality of works and design too. As a interior design student , work life balance is the things that we can do at this moment. In future , as employee in interior designer , or a owner of an interior company, I would ensure the project and timeline is reasonable at the same time to protect benefit of the employee if there is period of over time working.

FORUM 3 Fire safety of a building is a very important issue that we have to be focus on, not only architects, designers but also public users. Fire happened unexpectedly, the common indicator like Exit in green to lead users out from the building, the alarms, sprinkles in the space are all preparation for fire safety to reduce the loss of life in a fire. It is a time and fire competition. Designers works to slow the fire from spreading crazily by the knowledge of choice of material for walls, doors and so on. Staircase size for escaping have the several size to follow according to the building size and function too. Designers should know to the UBBL laws on fire safety and apply it into building design to ensure the safety of users. At the same time, public should know the basic knowledge of fire safety to protect themselves in a fire.
