Who am I
Advertisement
I am Andre Botha, better known as Vos. I was born and raised in Dordrecht in the Eastern Cape and was schooled in Queenstown. I made my way up to Polokwane, where I have been living for the last 16 years.
What do I do for a living
I am working as a SHEQ manager for a construction company, Hillary Construction.
Where do I Table
I am a proud member of Round Table Impala 157, one of the 11 great Tables of the Magnificent Bosveld area in the Northern part of South Africa
What do I stand for
• Good Moral values
• Fairness
• Integrity - taking accountability for actions and being honest at all times
• Respect - Respect others no emotions, try standing in front of someone with a food parcel or a donation and not cry when tears of thankfulness run down their face as they tell you that they have lost all hope.
“The invaluable lessons that you learn in the University of Round Table” in the words of our esteemed IPP Mr Werner Swanepoel.
In die Bosveld se ons "Dit is hier waar jy n mens word"
Round Table taught me selflessness, it has taught me that we are the lucky ones, that no matter what our background, we can help others, people that don't know us or whom we might never meet.
Round Table is in my blood, and I am proud to say I am a Tabler.
Why stand for vice president
matter what the situation is or who the person is. Respect other people's time, opinions, stances, and views. Also, respect those less fortunate, especially within an organization such as Round Table where we work with those less fortunate. "Never look down at anyone unless you give them a hand to pull them back up"
• Positivity - In today's day and age it is extremely important to be positive not only for yourself but to create positive vibes for others around you and to inspire others to be positive and to encourage positive thinking
Why Round Table
My Table career started when I was first invited in 2015, I had no idea what these okes were doing or what Table was about, but I fell in love with this organization immediately, I guess you can call it love at first sight. So, the better question would be, why stay in Table? I learned that there is a brotherhood out there second to none and that your brothers will have your back no matter what.
I learned that all men have
I believe in giving back, giving back to those who played a fundamental role in your development as a person. To me, it is Round Table and all its members. I think of all the legends that came across my path. Make #impactfulchange within our communities and inspire and bring hope where hopelessness is the norm.
In my Table Career, I was extremely privileged to have been Chairman of Impala 157, I was bestowed the honour of Bushveld Area Tabler of the Year, and I am honoured to have served on the Bushveld Area Council for 3 years including being Chairman of the great Bosveld. I have served as the Association secretary and am currently serving a second term on the Association executive council, with that being said, I would love to be your Man that keeps on steering this magnificent ship and to keep on driving #impactfulchange, and making sure that we have a sustainable Association for many years to come so that our sons one day can be part of "The lucky ones "
Yours in Table Vos Botha
