DRAK AREA ARTSA REVIVAL

From last year having only 2 attendees at Artsa to having 14 attendees excluding legs and children at Bosveld Artsa 2023.

Drak area is trying to revive the gees it once had and it shows by how many tablers and 41ers attended this year. The clubs that attended were PMB12, Estcourt 74, Tugela 202 and Hilton 242.

Kevin McNamara from Hilton 242 was inducted as the incoming area chairman and David Baker also Hilton 242 coming in as his vice.

Frikkie van de Merwe won the impactful change award for his efforts in inducting 5 members in a year which also got him the plus 5 pin which hasn’t been handed out in 8 plus years. Tugela 202 also won the award for the biggest growth in table for inducting the 5 members.

Kevin McNamara arrived on the Wednesday to attend the 4th ASCO on the Thursday morning where he learnt a lot and prepped for the 1st Asco on the Sunday. The Wednesday night was an awesome night spent walking from chalet to chalet catching up and enjoying a good bit of fellowship.

The next 3 proceeding nights fellowship was enjoyed by all the Drak tablers at the amazing hardcore hut with the awesome entertainment to go along with it.

Im sure with this years attendance and the stories and fellowship experienced Drak area will rally and get even greater numbers to South Cape Artsa.
