ARTSA EXPERIENcES

Good day Fellow Tablers

O what a ARTSA !!! Thank you to the Bosveld guys for all their efforts in arranging one of the best ARTSA’s that I have experienced thus far , special thank you to Wynand Swart and Sarel Ras , the opening night was as if you were at Tomorrowland !! WOW.

I started my ARTSA by standing in for our outgoing area chairman , Timmothy Manners-Woods who could not attend due to the birth of their baby girl , congratulations Tim and Heather ! what an amazing experience it was to attend 4th ASSCO with my fellow incoming chairman .One can truly see the #impactful change that’s being driven from the ASSCO members to the joe tablers ! Congrats to ASSCO 22/23 on a sterling job !

Friday was an early morning after a late night , Forums started … one could still see last night om the face of those that attended and as the morning turned to afternoon so did the members decrease , must have been the lunch that waited on them or a quick nap before the food tables started.

Food tables was once again a hit , all areas setting up camp with fires burning an the smell of all kinds of goodness on the way ! The competition was tough although there can only be one winner …the judges had their work cut out ! WP area made a “Mosselpot” accompanied with a Charcuterie board. We started off with a out of the world wine tasting or the judges ,while they snacked on the Charcuterie board , followed by our main “mosselpot” and finished off with a Malva pudding and sweet sweet Muskadel … For those that can remember , there was a guy walking around with 20l of muscadel in a papsak who gave shots to all attending. If you feel the need for more , please don’t hesitate to contact us Although we tried our utmost best to bribe the judges with bottles of wine and by filling their glasses with Muskadel we still did not win the food tables …. Must be because they forgot about us and only visited our table 4 hours after the cut off time… hopefully next year we will be first on the tasting list… wink wink.

Special thank you to the guys and girls from the Premier area that helped out at the food table and made this one to remember ! Durbanville , Yzerfontein , Robertson , Worcester , Somerset West and Saldhana !

Saturday was AGM time ! Well done to all those involved , was a quick one ! Werries well done on your year and we look forward to what Louis will be bringing to the association with his council ! All the best to Louis Du Toit and well done to Cois on his campaign

Later that night was the banquette , another one for the books and well done to those arranging it all , was fantastic !

Glad to say that we walked away from ARTSA with no Flue or fever just very tired and exited .

Once again thank you to the Bosveld for an amazing event and we cant wait for South Cape ARTSA 2024 !

Yit
