This one is for you “Swarrie” – Ian Sawyers

On the 4th of May 2023, Round Table Port Alfred 177 hosted the 41ers at our Social Meeting.

The meeting was dedicated to Swarrie, Ian Sawyers that sadly passed away.He was a member of Round Table and one of the Legends that built our clubhouse.

Hearing the stories from the other 41ers is always exciting and sparks lots of “Gees”.I always try and picture myself in their stories. Just to think how exciting it must have been to be on one of their tours in our country or trips around the world.

From ARTSA’s, World Tours and many others. Understanding today when they say, Travel and make lifelong friends. Make memories while having fun and raising funds for our communities.

These Gents haven’t just put our building up, we call our Clubhouse today, but also built our Club and carried Port Alfred’s flag high wherever they went.We can only thank and appreciate all they have done and still do till this day for RT177 and our community.
