One of Sani 152's most successful annual fundraisers, the Splashy fen Ice Sales, saw a record high this year, with over 20 tons of ice sold. The funds raised from this event are used to support local community initiatives and organizations.
Sunday Stache Day
Sani 152 also held a fun and unique event to raise awareness for men's mental health: Sun day Stache Day. Participants purchased stick-on moustaches, with over 300 sold. The event was well-received and helped to bring attention to an important issue.
Underberg Pumpkin Growing Competition
Another successful community event was the Underberg Pumpkin Growing Competition, sponsored by Mayford Seeds, Forge Agri, and the Underberg Farmers Association. The winners, Sophie Turner, Clark Turner, and Logan Van Huyssteen, grew impressive pumpkins, with the largest weighing in at 31.7kg. The pumpkins grown by the kids from Underberg School were donated to local community feeding schemes, demonstrating how community events can have a positive impact beyond just the competition itself.
