INCOMING President

I trust that you all will enjoy this month’s ARTSA edition Inkundla. It truly was an Artsa to remember, especially the opening evenings entertainment with that brilliant video and confetti blaster, masterminded by Sarel Ras.

The standard of the Area food tables has probably been the best I’ve seen in my table career. Well done to Gauteng for walking away with the trophy and well done to Wynand Swart, his team and the Bosveld area for hosting a brilliantly executed Artsa at Weesgerus…and let’s not forget the Owen Braai tour convenors, Stiaan & Johnny.

The first two weeks of the term was eventful and not short of any challenges. I’m lucky to have a very talented and experienced executive council that can handle any issue. 5 of the 9 members have been tablers in excess of 10 years and a total of 18 Assco years, excluding the coming term. We are grateful to the members for entrusting us with this duty!!

In closing, I’m looking forward to running the Oxpecker trail this month to help raise funds for Pevensey Place, that was started by RTSA in 1972.
