Club Mission We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

As we bid farewell to the final quarter of 2023, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey of growth, camaraderie, and achievement within our Toastmasters Club. It has been a remarkable period filled with inspiring speeches, supportive evaluations, and unforgettable moments that have defined our Club's spirit.

Throughout these last three months, our members have continued to shine brightly, taking the stage with confidence and delivering speeches that not only showcased their talents but also contributed to the collective success of our club. Each meeting has been a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm that define our Toastmasters family.

As we move forward into the new year, let us carry the lessons and memories of 2023 with us. Let us continue to challenge ourselves, celebrate each other's successes, and inspire one another to reach new heights in the world of public speaking and leadership.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our members for their dedication and hard work. Club ToastEd is not just a club; it's a community of individuals striving for excellence.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Toasting Our Triumphs Hey Toastmasters and Fabulous Readers!

What a ride it's been in this quarter! Buckle up because we're about to take a spin down memory lane and celebrate the sheer awesomeness of Club ToastEd. Our Humorous and Evaluation Club Contest was like a talent extravaganza on steroids! ToastEdians seized the virtual stage, dished out speeches that could move mountains, and evaluations that left us all dazzled. It was a showdown of skills that made us all proud and showed off our club's superpowers!

Now, hold onto your hats because we didn't stop there. We teamed up with not one, not two, but FOUR clubs in our Area Confluence meeting. It was like a superhero team-up, except with microphones and speeches! The energy, the knowledge exchange, and the sheer buzz of learning from each other - electric. All under the wise supervision of our Area Director Shalini Lal. Oh, and drum roll, please! We not only hit but slam-dunked 8 Goals out of 9 from the Distinguished Club Program. That's right, folks! Our dynamic VPE Sham Sundar aced it like a pro. Every member's dedication, from showing up at meetings to rocking speeches and taking on roles, has been the secret sauce to our success.

I've got to hand it to each one of you - your awesomeness knows no bounds! You've delivered speeches that could make a sloth jump with excitement, given evaluations smoother than a jazz solo, and embraced leadership roles like they were custom-made for you.

As we dive into the next quarter, let's keep this party going! Let's grab every opportunity to learn, grow, and throw some confetti on our journey to becoming communication and leadership rock stars!

A giant, virtual high-five to all of you for bringing the pizzazz to our club. MESSAGE FROM CLUB GROWTH DIRECTOR My Dear ToastEdians…

Greetings to All… It gives me immense pleasure to pen my thoughts as District Club Growth Director. Club ToastEd is one of the unique Specialty online Toastmasters' clubs that empowers members' growth and supports them in achieving their goals by making online learning an enjoyable and enriching experience. Happy to see members worldwide join as a family with their deeprooted spirits as ToastEdians… It is indeed a pathsetter and keeps raising its bars year after year, making a well-rounded development in terms of achieving educational and membership goals consistently well. Let me first congratulate all members and the Excom in particular for their tremendous hard work and services rendered so far and for the more in the future to make this club is one of the best of its own.

Since its inception in 2021, the club has grown remarkably despite many ups and downs…

Thanks to the visionary leadership of the founder members and continuous nurturing to deliver value for members. This club is now in the premier league, which indicates a continuum of success as measured by matrices. The club leadership is evidently doing that.

It is commendable to see the club is now full of leaders serving at Area and club roles in other clubs too. Also, consistently producing Champions. I wish this year too shall be an excellent year for them to outperform all their previous achievements and set up a new benchmark...

A word of caution: we should not be complacent and should continue the momentum in building the club more robust, adding more members, conducting quality programs, achieving educational credits, and much more…

My special appreciation to VPPR TM Roshan Sukheja and her TEAM for their dedication and hard work in releasing this Newsletter in time and style. Kudos, and keep up the excellent work!

The journey has begun with many new hopes, dreams, and goals… The onus is on all of us to make it the most rewarding learning experience for all of us…

MESSAGE FROM PROGRAM QUALITY DIRECTOR Promise of a Leader with a Purpose Congratulations to the President Pooja Saran, Editor and Vice President-Public Relations Roshan Sukheja & all the members of Club ToastEd for bringing out this beautiful newsletter. A Newsletter is one of the best showcases of a club. Club ToastEd is one of the best clubs in district 116 with great leaders, champions and excellent members. Toastmasters provide a safe platform to learn, practice and excel our communication and leadership skills. The beautiful structure of Toastmasters gave me a new way of living that I always wanted to live. A life beyond boundaries, politics, religion and gender discrimination.

I thoroughly enjoyed each step of this journey, I listened to all then I responded, and I made myself empty every time to be able to fill again. As I travelled more in this journey, the clarity has increased. Vague ideas and dreams have transformed into strong resolutions with clear objectives and purpose. I saw myself emerging from a mere member to a leader. I urge all of you to be in this learning journey to realize the power of the leader and communicator within you.

This journey took me to Denver, Colorado-USA during the Toastmasters International Annual Convention 2019. The experience that I had at Denver is wordless which made tremendous changes in my thoughts and actions. And gave me an authorization and confidence to my actions and responses, it gave me a transformational change from a passionate member to a true leader with a purpose and plan.

I was fortunate to attend last 3 International Conventions also. I saw a leader in me who is ready to serve others so that they can also benefit from this organization.

A leader is successful when the followers are empowered. A leader is the one who walk away when the followers have emerged as leaders. A leader is the one who join the team when she is needed. A leader lets the people come forward to take all credits of a victory, and will come forward to take the pain in the bad situations. This is the promise of a leader with a purpose. Kudos to the club president Pooja Saran and vibrant Excom for your exemplary leadership.

My kind advice to you all who are new to toastmasters is “Never give up”. It is our perseverance and consistency pay back to show our commitment and hard work. Indeed, the result will be visible. You will see a better you, who is able to communicate better than before, clearer than before and who is capable to make a change in others, to empower them and to help them to rise stronger.

MESSAGE FROM DIVISION H DIRECTOR Magic in Words “The best way to predict your future is to create it” – Abraham Lincoln.

Life can be a demanding journey in the balance of holding on, and letting go, with a tightrope, stretching between living and surviving and obstacles plagued in the pathway, forging you into a better person, and in the course, it is essentially important that you got the walls of your mind by watching the signals you tap into, by the words you declare and release because your thoughts hold the power of your strength. If your thoughts are weakened or negatively inclined, you attract negativity.

If we understand the power of our thoughts, we will guard them more closely. If we understand the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words, we create our own weaknesses, strengths, limitations and joy.

One way of redeeming positivity through our words is with positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations reflect how you want your life to be, using definite terms like that again “I can”, “I will”, “I am in charge”, “ I am in control”, “I am deserving”, “ I am worthy” and so on. These words create magic to help you overcome challenges, stress, and obstacles in life.

TOASTMASTER ETIQUETTES Welcome to Toastmasters, where communication and leadership thrive. As you dive into this journey, embracing Toastmasters etiquette is crucial. From speeches to evaluations, it ensures a positive and respectful environment. Let's explore the key guidelines for a successful and supportive experience.

Active Listening: Pay attention to speakers, showing respect and engagement. Avoid cross-talk and distractions.

Constructive Feedback: Provide feedback that is specific, positive, and helps speakers improve.

Use of lectern, podium, and stage: Clearly understand the difference between the three and use them effectively.

Cell Phone Courtesy: Silence or turn off your phone during meetings to minimize disruptions.

Preparation: Preparation is key. Always remember to prepare yourself because by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

Timing Adherence: Adhere to time limits for speeches, evaluations, and other agenda items.

Supportive Environment: Encourage fellow members and create a positive atmosphere. Applaud fellow Toastmasters for their effort and skill.

Respect for Roles: Acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of meeting roles, such as the Toastmaster, Timer, and Grammarian.

Anatomy of a Meeting: Have a clear understanding of the anatomy of the meeting.

Mindful Body Language: Display positive and attentive body language to enhance communication.

Participation: Contribute actively to Table Topics, evaluations, and other meeting segments.

By embracing these etiquettes, you contribute to a thriving Toastmasters community where everyone can learn, grow, and succeed.
