Clear Skies We begin this issue of the Inland Empire Outlook with a story on the recently announced agreement between Ontario and Los Angeles to transfer Ontario Airport back to local control (p.2). Local leaders have been pushing for this for the past five years, with the hope of reversing the airport’s stark decline. Next we examine the latest unemployment data which show a healthy recovery for jobs in the Inland Empire (p. 9). The strong jobs numbers are also reflected in the slow, but steady improvement in the local housing market (p. 13). Finally, we look at the distinguished history of March Air Reserve Base (p. 18).
