AFFAIR:

On February 10, 2024, the picturesque setting of the Cinnamon Hill Great House witnessed the union of country music star Ira Dean, former member of country band Trick Pony, and philanthropist and advocate, Jennifer Pairisi in a wedding that epitomized elegance, charm, and a deep connection to musical heritage. The iconic venue, known affectionately as the Johnny Cash House, provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s special day, steeped in personal history and shared memories.

For Ira Dean, the journey down the aisle at the Cinnamon Hill Great House was not just about committing to a lifetime with his beloved Jennifer but also about revisiting cherished moments from his past. As he stepped into the historic house, memories flooded back of the countless Christmases spent with the

Carter Cash family since the 1990s, cementing his bond with the Cash legacy.

Adding a touch of authenticity to the proceedings, the wedding ceremony was officiated by none other than John Carter Cash, the only child of the legendary Johnny and June. As the son of country music royalty, John Carter Cash brought a sense of tradition and reverence to the occasion.

The atmosphere at the Cinnamon Hill Great House reverberated with the soulful strains of country music, echoing through the hills of Rose Hall much like it did during the four decades when Johnny and June Cash called the estate home. In a heartfelt tribute to the late singer, Ira and Jennifer’s recessional song was none other than the timeless classic “Jackson” by Johnny and June Cash, a fitting nod to the enduring love and legacy of the Cash family.

The ambiance of the wedding was further enhanced by the exquisite décor. The choice of autumn colors lent an air of warmth and sophistication to the outdoor setting. As the ceremony unfolded, the backdrop of hanging roses created a stunning visual effect, framing the couple as they exchanged their vows against the backdrop of the historic estate. The sleek black furniture stood out at the reception, adding a touch of modern elegance to the rustic surroundings.

One couldn’t help but be captivated by

the creative touches that adorned each table. The table numbers, designed as vinyl records, not only paid homage to the couple’s love for music but also added a nostalgic flair to the décor,

transporting guests to a bygone era of classic melodies and timeless romance.

One of the most memorable aspects of the evening was the unique guest book—a white acoustic guitar signed by guests during the cocktail hour. This creative touch not only served as a memento of the celebration but also symbolized the harmony and unity of the couple’s friends and family coming together to celebrate their love.

As the evening unfolded, guests were treated to the authentic aroma of Jamaican coffee beans, a thoughtful gift that filled the air with warmth and fragrance during dinner.

However, the highlight of the evening came when Ira Dean took to the stage to serenade his bride with a heartfelt performance of “Everything,” a song he penned for Jennifer upon their engagement in April 2023. With every note, he poured out his love and devotion, creating a moment that will be etched in their memories forever.

Reflecting on their magical day, Jennifer Pairisi shared that it was indeed a dream come true, a sentiment echoed by all who were fortunate enough to witness the love and joy radiating from the newlyweds.

Krafted by Design is a testament to the transformative power of passion, determination, and seizing opportunities. Founded by Chalene and Chris-Randy Myrie, this family business emerged from humble beginnings to become a thriving force in the wedding and events industry.

The journey began unconventionally, as Chalene, initially a Marine Biologist, and Chris-Randy, a System Analyst, found themselves drawn into the world of weddings after planning their own magical celebration in December 2012. Chalene’s innate creativity and knack for crafts, interior design, and photography paved the way for her to delve into wedding design as a parttime endeavor. However, it wasn’t until

2016 that they took a leap of faith and purchased the very company that had adorned their wedding venue. Despite initial doubts and financial constraints, they forged ahead, rebranding the business as Krafted by Design—a name that encapsulated their commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.

The Myries identified an opportunity to diversify their offerings, recognizing a gap in the event rental market. Thus, launching in February 2022, Lounged by Krafted was born, expanding their reach

beyond weddings to cater to a broader spectrum of events with high-end lounge furniture rentals.

Through their unwavering commitment to crafting unforgettable experiences, Krafted by Design have earned a reputation as one of Jamaica’s premier décor companies.
