Our Year 8 students are invited to take part in a unique three-day residential experience designed to boost health, wellbeing, and personal growth - all while having fun in the great outdoors.

Activities include:

• Scavenger hunts

• Yoga

Each activity is carefully chosen to encourage self-respect, patience, adaptability, and resilience, while promoting reflection and a love for active living.

With expert staff guiding the experience, students return home feeling refreshed, re-energised, and more confident - ready to take on new challenges with a positive mindset.

As this trip has limited availability we will offer places via ballot to ensure the fairest process. If your daughter would like to attend, please register using the link in the trip letter. Bronze Duke of Edinburgh

Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 July

Year 9 students who have signed up for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award will take part in their eagerly anticipated expedition — a memorable and rewarding experience that marks a major milestone in their DofE journey.

The expedition involves two days of walking and one night of camping. Students will begin at a location near the North Downs, and in teams of 5-7 they will walk to their campsite carrying all their belongings and equipment. Once at the site, they’ll pitch tents, cook dinner on a trangia and spend quality time with their teammates, before camping overnight.

The following day, students will pack up and continue their journey to the final destination - completing the expedition as a team and reflecting on their achievements.

This adventure is run by the professional expedition company ‘Adventure Expeditions’, ensuring expert guidance and a safe, supportive environment throughout.

This experience will challenge students physically and mentally, helping them build resilience, develop teamwork and independence, creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.

Those students not participating in DofE will have the opportunity to participate in Rosebery Community & Rosebery Craft Days.

Deposit Deadline: A deposit is required by Sunday 30 November of approximately £100 via the ParentPay service, ‘DofE Bronze Award 2025/26’ to secure your daughter’s place. We may not be able to accept late additions after this date.

Further Information: Separate email communications will be sent to Year 9 families with full details about the expedition, including costs, kit lists, timings and final arrangements.

Give your child the chance to embark on an unforgettable Bronze DofE adventure — two days of challenge, teamwork, and outdoor fun that will inspire confidence and create lifelong memories!
