PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

Social Justice

Under the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, Rosary students are mindful of serving the dear neighbor. Rosary partners with a variety of service organizations such as Catholic Relief Services, Crittenton: Services for Children and Families, Isaiah House, Higher Ground, the Special Olympics, and many more. In order to encourage true volunteerism that lasts beyond high school, Rosary does not mandate students to complete service hours.

Leadership Opportunities

Offering over 220 leadership opportunities, students take the lead in Red & Gold, a project-based learning experience involving the development and execution of a school wide musical theater production; Campus Ministry, in which students plan and implement Masses, prayer services, retreats, and community service events; Associated Student Body, which offers over 25 student leadership positions; and the Royal Ambassador Program, which provides students with the opportunity to lead prospective students and parents on school tours and represent the school at community wide events.

Royal Advantage

Students are given an opportunity to connect to mentors, teachers, and business professionals to discover their college and professional career interests through hands-on experiences. Students may intern and/or shadow experts on or off campus.

Robotics/Engineering Presenting students with relevant STEM and robotics principles, Royal Rebel Engineering—Orange County’s only all-girls robotics team—walks students through the principles of design and mechanical engineering in a team environment. Students establish a strong understanding of Into the Zone game rules and identify key requirements for robotics. The club also participates in regional, state, and national tournaments including the VEX Robotics World Championships.

Mock Trial

Rosary offers a competitive Mock Trial team. This program provides students the knowledge of the California judicial system, develops analytical abilities and communication skills, and helps them gain an understanding of their obligations and responsibilities in society.

Tri-School Theatre

In conjunction with Rosary’s brother and sister school, Tri-School Theatre is distinguished as one of the best theatre programs in the state. Rosary students have been honored with awards from the Educational Theatre Association, National Youth Theatre Organization, International Thespian Society, and Music & Arts Commendation for Youth Organization.

STREAM Providing cross-curricular learning, STREAM, takes the principles of STEM and combines religion and art into a creative academic framework.

Center 4 Learning (C4L)

Supporting students to realize their full potential, C4L includes onsite staff who recognize that students learn differently and provides the tools to help them succeed.

Athletics Offering 12 CIF multi-level sports teams, plus beach volleyball and triathlon clubs, Rosary Athletics provides a competitive, spirited program for students to learn, grow, and excel. Many student-athletes continue their playing career in colleges, and all teams strive for academic excellence. Rosary has earned league and CIF championship including the 2017 state basketball title.
